I tried to flash DlevROM INFUSE EDITION from ClockWorkMod and I get stuck in a boot loop.
I've downloaded a return to stock rom, transferred the zip to external sd but I can't seem to locate it on the "install zip from sdcard" screen.
What am I doing wrong? My phone is totally out of commission until I flash a new rom.
I've literally clicked on every folder in "install zip from sdcard" trying to figure out where the rom is.
When I click on "external_sd" it doesn't find any files. Am I looking in the wrong place?
Please help!!! My phone is totally out of commission! Thanks.
You have to wipe all of your data after flashing a new ROM. This is the most common cause of boot loops.
Also make sure you are useing the correct clock work mod version (infuse version). Useing a version made for another phone causes partition and file location mix ups. There is a 100% working one for the infuse somewhere on this fourm. I just can't find the link because I'm on mobile.

Thanks for the quick reply - however, since I'm in a boot loop, is it even possible to change the clockwork mod version?
Also, now when I go to "choose zip from sdcard" it says "no app2sd partition found." I can't click on it at all now.

It shows both as unmounted (sdcard and sd-ext) and it won't allow me to mount either. Here's the message when I try to mount sdcard.
can't mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p1 (or /dev/block//mmcblk0) (invalid argument) Error mounting SDCARD:!

Sorry - just woke up.
Quick question - where is the file marked "recovery"? I only see in that download Odin and the three files that use with with Odin. Did you want me to follow his instructions first with Odin and then yours? Thanks.
Are you on the correct CWM version? It seems like the partition tables inside of CWM are messed up.
Also consider the ultimate unbrick software it's a one click thing that will send you back to stock.

Yes it is you just need to go into fastboot mode (volume up + power) and flash recovery from your computer again.

ok... my bad i forgot a few steps...
follow all of gtgs unbick instructions then the rest.
here is a direct link to the recovery file... but since xda wont let me post outside links yet... :{ go to google and search "MODIFIED 3E RECOVERY INFUSE ADDICTIVE TIPS"
It should be first link.. open it.
go down to requirements and click on "Modified 3e Recovery" download and unzip that file
Voila u have the recovery file!!!!
Now follow instructions I have u after gtgs.
u will have to have a root explorer to complete "My instructions."
I want to use twrp and i already have yannou's recovery installed.Should i've to flash with twrp............ PLease provide detailed solution.
Download the ZIP from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1911242
Extract the ZIP. Start phone in fastboot mode, run "Install TWRP.bat" (assuming you are on Windows; if on Linux/Mac, simply get the fastboot binary for your system and type "./fastboot flash recovery recovery.img" in a terminal)
There is a simple way to install any recovery. Just download recovery installer from playstore and install recovery through it. Its working fine

For this method u need to have rooted phone.
Hello guys.
I will show u the way how you can install cwm recovery mod on your android device using android application.
It's much easier then using adb command (for some users) .
First you need to download mobile_uncle _tool.apk.
You can download it from google play store or from this link: DOWNLOAD
Then you need to download cwm recovery from their official site or just google cwm and your device name.
When you download recovery, copy file to root on sd card and rename it to "recovery".
Note: if is recovery zipped, unzip it using winrar or 7-zip and rename it to recovery and copy into root of sd card.
Open mobile_uncle_tools and press "flash recovery from sd card", select recovery.iso and then program will do everything.
Your phone will reboot into new recovery.
Done
Cheers :highfive:

HEY FOLKS,
This THREAD will GUIDE you to flash recovery.img from PHONE.
I found many of the people found difficult to flash recovery via FASTBOOT and TERMINAL EMULATOR by using CODES.
Here is a SIMPLE method to flash recovery from phone through app.
STEPS:
1) Download recovery flasher utility.apk
download link
2) install the recovery flasher utility.apk file.
3) download your preferred recovery.img
4) copy the downloaded recovery.img file to sd-card and place it in ROOT of your sd-card (Don't keep the file inside any folder because the app may not recognize the file)
5) rename the downloaded recovery.img file as recovery.img(all in lower case)
6) Open the app and flash the recovery by pressing the "install recovery" button (Please be patient, wait for the complete flash, wait till you get the display "reboot into recovery")
7) done!!! :good: enjoy your new recovery.:victory:
(note: this method worked very well for me, app flashed recovery within 2sec, and i am not responsible if it wont work for you or anything is messed up.)
:victory: hit :good: if this guide was helpful. :highfive:
