Hi just wondering if anybody has any idea why mobile config and sim app would be in the app draw of the wifi only model gt n8010. Is this just Samsung being lazy with there roms?

I have just buy a Samsung I5801 from Mobistar Belgium for my daughter. Unfortunatly i remark that the phone always connect to 3G mobile network and impossible to uncheck the mobile connection from the Mobile network parameters (it's simple there is no choice, in my HTC wildfire i have the possibility to uncheck all mobile network connection). When i create a dummy connection with false settings and i choose this last to connect to the mobile network the phone continue to connect to 3G through the mobistar portal.
I don't know what to do. Maybe root and flash my device to have an original Android Rom? The rom in this phone seems to be modified by Mobistar.
Can someone help please? Have someone the same problem?
you can download APNdroid or like software in market.
if not have simlock can flash to other i5800 firmware
and flash is not root..
Install a free app called My Settings from Market. In it there is option to toggle to 2g network from 3g. Try and report back.

Both APNdroid and My setting don't solve the problem.
Also when deleted the APN settings and replace it by something else, the connection is always on AND active.
Is there a hard way to close any 3G communication from the device? I have ask to my provider to close any 3G communication from my number but still continue.
Flash your device then.

Owner of the Star N8000 dual sim, I would like to know the Simple Mobile APN settings for the N8000 because Simple can't give the apn settings because they can't identify the phone. Will the N8000 give 3G or 4G or Edge on Simple Mobile in the USA?

so i have a star n8000 as well im trying to figer out how to get the edge network on this device , have done the apn settings 4 times and still have no data on 3g or the edge network im using att at the moment , but soon will be suing simple mobile ! if u now how please let me no so i can at least get edge network..thanks

Hi, I'm not a lawyer but I can tell u my simple mobile current Edge Go Settings->Mobile Networks->Access Point Names->Name type Simple->MMSC type http://10.165.193.23/mms/wapeme->Menu select Save then Turn Off then On
Now this is for Edge and if anyone knows 3G settings please post on this thread!
For AT&T proxy 66.209.11.33, port 80 select menu then save turn off then on next pull down menu select data comm on! "H" should appear

As i am new to XDA and AT&T Samsung Galaxy Tab8.9 SGH-i957 too. i need help.

The country i have only 2G network supported NO 3G or 4G.... i am confused that how my device can make a call as there is no dialer option in device menu. but my device shows my network signals in the bottom right corner of the device and i am able to use GPRS / EDGE and can make SMS / MMS from my device. But "NO CALLS"... Please help how can i make call from my device as AT&T is not supported in our country and i had inserted other network SIM card with data plan.. from where i m using SMS / MMS , GPRS / EDGE service.
Secondly my device is on Honeycomb i want to update it on ICS but when i download Kies on my PC and attach my device it indicate that device is not supported with Kies.... Please help how to update without rooting my device.

I bought a new Galaxy 6s egde which i believe is a sprint mobile device but a lot of things and settings are missing i need direction on how to get a new firmware and installation to make my phone work better because current i do not have mobile hotspot and i cannot hide my mobile number when calling from more settings in dail pad. I use a Realme GT Master Edition as my primary device, got a Galaxy Watch 4 LTE today after pairing it up tried setting up the mobile plan and got an error
My network is Jio (India)
When on 5g the wearable app gives error code 5000
When on 4g it gives error code 4001
Any fix for this issue? Messes up the whole functionality of the lte version

Turns out you need a galaxy device to set-up the cellular plan
1. Put your sim in a galaxy mobile then pair your watch to it
2. Setup the watch and activate your cellular plan on the watch
3. Wait to get the full network functionality on the watch then take a backup and reset your watch
4. Put your sim back to your original mobile and pair the watch with it
5. Setup the watch and restore your backup
Cellular plan should be working now
