[Q] enable phone on n8000

hi
just bought the gt-n8000 note 10.1
rom N8000JKALI4
how can i enable phone on it?
any update?
thanks
alex
Go to app drawer, look for a little green handset. Click on it. This will bring up dialler.
If you can't find this icon you have either the wifi only model (8010/13) or the internet only model (8005 - Turkey only as far as I know).
Might be stupid question but are you sure you bought the note 10.1, the tab 2 10.1 looks the same but doesn't have the stylus. It also has a secret dialer app so you can make and receive phonecalls but you need to look in the tab2 10.1 section for instructions in that case....

If you have 3g access, you could use VOIP for voice. Groove IP has their software working with JB 4.1.2 (big kudos for them looking at an upgrade glitch caused by Samsung programming for JB 4.1.2) Csipsimple also works without flaw on JB 4.1.2 and you can use the SIP provider of your choice. Depending on your location, 3G VOIP may be more expensive than regular cellular voice.

I want to use my regular celluar company
their have to be a way to use it
i dont understnad why they blocked it :\
I have 2 samsung galaxy note 10.1's, bought 1 for a friend and my brother too. Every one of these has the phone app pre-installed.
If it's carrier branded there is a chance that they may have removed it. If it's locked to a network carrier or sim locked I'd try to unlock (so as not to brick) first then flash another countries rom. This would put the dialer and everything needed there. However if its tagged by the network not to allow calls this may not help as they use IMEI numbers to block calls, not roms.
It does sound like the N8005 model. If it is the N8005 model from Turkey then you can flash the N8000 rom to restore dialer and phone functions. You would need to do a search as there's a couple of threads on the N8005...

Sprint Note 5 Question/Issue

I just recently purchased a Sprint Note 5 from someone and it seems to work great, I did check with the Sprint store and Swappa to ensure a clean ESN. But what i am wondering is that when I go to the settings menu there is no Mobile Network menu. I have looked everywhere for it, does the Sprint model not come with it? I even clicked edit undrr the quick settings and it shows Mobile Networks as a selection and when i check it off and return to the main menu it doesnt show up under the quick settings. It is unrooted and stock. I did just upgrade to 6.0.1 yesterday as well.
Any ideas would be helpful.
I have the Mobile Networks menu.
Inside of that menu you have the option to select your Network mode...which I use when traveling internationally.
Why dont I have that menu then?
Because yours is a chinese knock off. RIP.
Sent from my SM-N920P using XDA-Developers mobile app

Do calls, texts, data, mms all work fine?
I don't have Sprint as my carrier, I'm using T-Mobile. I bought the phone from someone and thought I wouldid unlock it but it's a pain to do. I just happen to be browsing the phone and noticed that the Mobile Network is not there.

[Completed] GSM on Samsung Tab S2

Hello everyone, my name is Ryan.
Purchased a Samsung Tab S2 with the intention of using it as a replacement for my phone. The tablet currently has a data share plan on it with my Note 4 for Bell Mobility in Canada.
My plan was to switch the two SIM cards out into one another so my phone has just the data, and my tablet has the data, calling, and SMS. I was under the impression from the sails person that I could replace EVERY function of my phone with the tablet. Unfortunately calling seems to be... less than an option. I didn't realize that they would have disabled the function entirely from the device. Even under "Mobile networks" and "Network mode" I only have the option of using either: LTE/WCDMA (auto connect) or WCDMA. Where my phone (despite now having the tablets SIM card with only data sharing (does that matter?)) has the options: GSM only, WCDMA only, WCDMA/GSM (auto connect), and LTE/WCDMA/GSM (auto connect).
My question is, due to lack of info on Bell website about specifications for the device, does the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 (Model# SM-T817W, Android version: 6.0.1) support GSM calling? It seems to not support it directly through software, or avoids it some how. So, does it have the capability of making/receiving calls? I am NOT looking for a VoIP program, I simply want to use the calling that I pay for on my tablet instead of on my phone.
If it DOES have the capability to do so, but is lacking the software/firmware to do so, how would one go about installiung that? I would prefer if I could, not to install an entire OS, as I saw that the Tab 10.1 I think it was had something that just unlocked calling on it, see link for info.
See: Can't post link because I am a new, sorry.
Thanks
Ryan

upon searching i couldn't find the exact version of your device model. are you sure that it supported voice calling and the salesman confirmed this?
Would it be possible to call samsung customer care to confirm the model you have does support voice/gsm

Enabling wifi calling on non cricket samsungs

So this is a hack so to speak
as of right now Crcket does not have a bit 7 firmware but thats ok screw them.
So download any Us multi csc firmware you need for what ever bit number your on.
Flash that in latest odin.
Insert your cricket sim,It will reboot to personalize the device for the new carrier I just did this on bit 7 and am running cricket csc on bit 7 despite not even being released...
Next you must put your sim in any cricket wifi calling enabled device. Setup wifi calling on that device. Put in your address and such...
Then replace your sim back into the samsung device and you are good to go
As you can see from my screen shots my device is originally a cct Xfinity Mobile but running aio latest Jan security patches with operational wifi calling
