http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2184408 > Read ALL of this. This is noob-friendly, it won't take you long. Even if your phone runs out of battery, you won't have a brick, because when you turn the phone on when it has charge, it will stay on the "quietly brilliant" splash screen, so your phone is not destroyed. I'll edit in a link for the stock recovery on this post once I find it and upload it to dropbox.

Erm... If you have an alternative phone charger then try that. The new ones are designed to take the hit if something goes wrong, where they used to be designed so that the phone takes the hit, so there could have been a surge going through and your charger died. If not, then try a different power socket/USB port.

When you connect your phone to a Windows computer via USB, does it try and install QHSUSB_DLOAD drivers? If so, you are in a messy situation. You'll need to read the unbrick thread in the dev section and unbrick your device.

can you give me more explication, because that's not work with me

connect your phone with the usb cable to your computer. Open device manager on your computer. Does it say QHSUSB_DLOAD anywhere?

The stock recovery is saved as STOCKS4.img. I'm assuming that you use the all in one kit, so copy it into data/resources/recoveries and then go onto the all in one, select custom recovery and choose the stock. Flash this, then boot into bootloader, click on recovery and that will do the magic for you. Then flash TWRP, flash the boot.img of the ROM you want to use through fastboot. Mine is as follows:
C:\Users\Kyle> cd C:\AndroidSDK\AndroidSDK\sdk\platform-tools
C:\AndroidSDK\AndroidSDK\sdk\platform-tools>fastboot flash boot boot.img
Then copy the ROM onto your SD card or push it through adb if you wish, then flash it through TWRP. You should have a working phone again.

Never mind my last post, you need to be able to boot into a rom to use kdz updater, it's been a while since I had to do this kind of thing.
I'm pretty sure you only soft bricked your phone (i.e. it still turns on) and the only way, that I know of, is to use nvflash. I've had the same problem before, there could be many things that are causing the phone to not be recognized by your computer. Follow this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=17258229
when you plug the usb into your phone make sure the audio on you computer is loud enough for you to hear that "usb recognized" sound. If you don't hear it, or it does not get recognized, try using a different usb port on your computer, believe me that actually worked for me a couple of times. Also, make sure you follow the steps very carefully because if you use the wrong button combination, or release the buttons too early, it won't work.
I wish I could help you more, but that's all i've got.
Good luck, and if by any chance you get it fixed, don't try to root your phone using any root tools, simply nvflash cwm recovery and flash your choice of a custom rom, that will automatically give you root privileges.

every time i look at my apx driver it always tells me to troubleshoot but it always says driver not installed. ive downloaded the same driver in different posts just to make sure but nothing helps. Wireless shops are useless. I live in vegas and there isnt a single store with a person smart enough to figure it out.lol. ive given my phone up for days at a time to shops who brag about "WE CAN FIX ANYTHING" they lied. well i guess im going to search for a few more hours on here to get some kind of lead. thanks for the help. if you kknow anything else or figure something out i would appreciate the help.
Have you tried this stuff?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1619932
It sounds to me like your pc's jacked up the driver somehow. Try plugging in the phone with the battery out and holding all 3 buttons, go into your device manager and uninstall all the USB drivers. Then reboot and try following the apx driver installation procedure again.
Sorry if you tried all this stuff a million times already.
I would say the two things that I would focus on would be to first fix the drivers on your computer. I downloaded mine from the LG website. Next is to flash CWM Recovery so you can flash a rooted ROM to your phone. I would go back to the thread where you got the instructions to start flashing and ask the same questions but only after reading the whole thread. There the orig. developer might chime in and you'll have more specific answers focused on your specific issue.
It's true your phone isn't bricked and have patience and you'll get it fixed.

well i have all the drivers needed. and the computer is fine but the phone is not. i mean the pc doesnt quite read the phone right. with that being said i dont know how to flash cwm recovery to a phone my computer cant read. im running windows 7 64bit and all my usb drivers work fine.
CWM = Clockworkmod Recovery (everyone remember this is a newbie).
Important question: Did you do a backup before making any changes to your phone?
Also, try this: remove your phone's battery for 30 seconds. Put the battery back in. Press and hold the volume down button, then press and hold the power button. Hold both buttons. First you'll see the white LG screen, then wait, when you next see the blue LG screen wait ONE second (no longer) then release the buttons. Tell us what the phone does then and what the screen says.
Have you tried taking out your SIM card and micro SD card?
Usually right after I take them out and plug in my phone while holding volume up and volume down... it usually works after that.
Yup, that's my problem. No matter how many USB ports I tried it still wouldn't read it until I took out the SIM card and micro SD ;p.
Try this on for size...

Sounds like you are having the same the issues i was having with my phone why dont you try this..... First you have to flash a custom recovery image for your phone, follow all the procedures exactly then once you have flashed your CWM Recovery ( i. e. Clockworkmod recovery) Once you have installed that properly, you can now flash your new custom ROM and that should help to fully reboot your phone back to recovery for you to start using again....... hope that works for you.......just as it did for me have a good one!!... :fingers-crossed:

well i brought it to two shops and were both unsuccessful. wireless toyz and smart fix. i have it back and it goes to the lg screen. and instead of the second it flashes from black to a very dim gray back and forth. when i hold the power button along with the volume down it does a master reset and i can press the home button then it takes me to a screen to delete cache partition and what not and you move up and down with the volume keys but i cannot select anything. i think i really messed my phone up.
Somehow you got stock recovery. Google for howbto do a master reset, on devices like the nexus tablet at my work there's a series of steps needed to do a full reset/restore. Just booting into stock recovery may not give you the option. As well, please post those screen shots as I said earlier, this way the issue with the USB can be troubleshot and maybe we can get you a fully working phone with CWM.

Galaxy Tab 2 won't start

Hi!
I'm new to flashing and tried to install clearRom in my P3115. The problem is that after reboot, the tablet wont start!
If I tried to connect it to the pc, drivers is nos installed / recognized and the batery logo appears but never charges. It show as is it is empty.
I can´t start it neither or access download mode or CWR mode. Odin does not recognize it neither!
Please, help! It's like dead!
Thanks a lot! :good:
Explain exactly what you did, and maybe someone can help you further. Good luck.

Thanks for the tip.
I just used Odin to flash clear Rom like explained here:
theandroidsoul cleanrom-custom-rom-for-galaxy-tab-2-10-1-guide/
Everything seems to be fine, but after restart nothing happened. I noted that if you plug the tablet to the usb port, it keeps looping the sound as when any usb is connected. Over and Over again.
It never starts, not even the Samsung logo. The only thing it does is, once plugged in, I can see the battery charge logo, but always empty.
Please, help!!
Thanks!
What kind of message do you get from Odin if you try to connect it and load a ROM? My tab was stuck also but I was able to get Odin load even when it looked like it was connecting.

Not sure, what problem you face exactly.
This is what i understand, you get a battery logo while your device starts and wont boot up right? If yes, try these steps, might help you.
1. battery logo you get in the boot thats because, you have connected USB Cable to computer/Charger.
2. Make sure you have charge in battery so that while doing below steps, would be a problem.
3. Once you find, it has a enough battery charge you can disconnect the cable safely (If not place it for a wallcharger, untill the battery logo fills up the juice and you find it as charged completly)
4. While booting Press the POWER+VOLUME DOWN for Download mode.
5. Now connect your tablet to PC which has ODIN and sufficient drivers installed,
6. ODIN should detect to flash the ROM.
7. Download extact Firmwares from Sammobile site / from XDA links, which is suitable.
Hopefully it should bootup with no issues.

Dear nagabushan, thanks for your help!
I think the problem is battery related, cause the icon never fills up. It's like it cant charge batteries! The juice never even apears!
I'll leave it plugged in to the wall for a few our, and see what is going on.
I'll be back in a few hours!

This is just a guess, but i think that there is no JTAG unit(that is just plugged to the tablet and DOWNLOAD MODE ) There is a method that can be extremely dangerous.
This method is to open the tab, take the motherboard, find the correct pins and flash JTAG. I DO NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THIS METHOD NEITHER DO I SUPPORT IT!
The second method is to take it to the warranty. Download mode is not accessible so they can't tell if it's rooted, custom rom or anything like that. They will either send you a new device and voilá. That's it. Or they try to fix it. Google samsung galaxy tab 2 jtag. It will help you if you prefer the first option.

[Q] BSOD, But I get lights when I plug it in

I just tried installing the Energy Rom from forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2010108 and after I installed the Energy_JB_4.2.1_Partitions.zip file and rebooted I received the asus logo screen and then my tablet just went off. I tried rebooting into TWRP to continue installing the rom and just got a black screen. THAT'S ALL I GET NOW IS BSOD. I've tried holding down the the volume+power, just power, sticking a pin in the reset hole. NOTHING!!! However my light by the power button still lights up orange or green when charging.
IS THERE ANYWAY I CAN GET OUT OF THIS MESS??? I don't care if I have to wipe everything from the tablet. Just as long as I can get this thing to boot again in anyway would make me happy! :crying:
I would ask NRG as he was the one who created this zip. He will know more about it and its bugs/issues. Post in the energy thread if you haven't already.

The more I think about it.... I think no. I was on Energy 12/22 which was 4.1.1 and then started the install of files. I installed the first one which was a 14MB partition file, it rebooted, I got the logo and then it shut off. The light still comes on though when I plug in the charger and changes from orange to green. But if I hold the power, power+volume, reset hole or anything else... Nothing happens.
Your tablet is unrecoverable bricked! You make misteak, because you should first install offical Asus JB 4.2.1 OTA via Fastboot.

Not sure if this will help
If when you flashed this zip, and the 4.2.1 bootloader did manage to take I would try this.
Connect your device to your pc with the usb cable and power on like you would when normally trying to boot into bootloader (vol- & power)
Even though the screen is black if the bootloader did take then fastboot will be automatically running here.
Open command prompt (run as admin) and cd to your android-sdk\platform-tools folder and try command
Code:
fastboot devices
and see if you get a response.
If you do get a list with your s/n, then I would give my how-to a go & see if that works.
I'll try that tonight or tomorrow. I was going to try to find an identical one today at Best Buy and then return the screwed up one a few days later. But if I can save my original I'll just keep it and not go through all the hassle.

Nothing happens when i plug it in or hold power button. Please help I do not have the money for a replacement phone and i figured this would be my first place to try for help. Also i have installed custom roms before and it worked fine just never on a phone. Sorry for the space in the link it wouldn't let me post with it because i am a new user.

Have you tried booting into download or recovery mode? Here's how http://www.knowtechbetter.net/how-t...-download-mode-on-samsung-galaxy-s3-tutorial/
If you can get into download mode I would odin back to stock and then use this tool to root, unlock the bootloader, and flash a custom recovery.

As for why your phone won't turn on or anything I'm not really sure. My best guess would to take out the battery and plug the phone in without the battery to see if anything happens, and then put the battery back in.

There are options here.
Use this method, but you need a class 10 external SD card with the exact same size as your internal card, and you need to follow the directions exactly, it should work:

Other option is you can send it into somebody for a jtag repair, mobile tech videos will do it for $60 I think, either way you go you won't be buying a new phone.

I'm hoping this is a good sign I took out the battery and plugged it in the red light comes up then goes away after 10 or 15 seconds.

It was a guess suggestion. I would try booting into download mode or any mode with the battery out. But if you can get something to happen to show you're phone isn't completely broken I would leave the battery in and just let in charge for a little while.
Can you get to the charging animation the phone makes it's charging while it's off?
And have your tried putting the battery back in while the red light is on?
(again these are just suggestions, I've only soft bricked my phone twice so idk if it will work for you)

My last idea would be to just try different combinations of having the battery in and out, when you put it back in, having it plugged into the wall and computer, and trying to boot into any of the 3 boot modes. Otherwise I have no idea, but when in doubt just try everything.

This is a classic sign of a hard brick...
To make sure, when you plug it into your computer, what does it recognize it as?

Let me know how it works, you need to use that thread along with the sprint thread linked. But you need to use the Verizon specific files, he also posted a helpful video also.

Sometimes it takes repeated attempts, also are you following the sprint guide? You have to do it in a Linux environment, either the full os or a live CD of Ubuntu.
