I have a problem with Sabsa Prime ROM, my microphone does not work. It worked up to version v14. After installing v15 stopped working and now only works on v10 and newer anymore. Can anyone help or advise?

With other ROM I have no problem. Even v14 version worked great while I have not tried v15 and now it does not work. Version 10 works fine. I also tried FULL ICS ROM and then I install Sabsa Prime and nothing helped
so no one really knows me deal with my problems?

Sorry, i don't have a solution for you i don't use sabsa prime. But if the mic works on other roms then it's probably a rom issue. A logcat posted on the sabsa thread might be helpful if the the dev can figure it out. Other than that id suggest another rom

Some people have been asking me why my Inspire ROM based on RUU 2.36.405.8 feels smoother than other ROMs using this base (when scrolling through home screens in particular). I again thought I should share with the community to improve all Desire HD ROMs.
It's as simple as dropping in a few libs from the 2.31 leak (libsurfaceflinger.so, libsurfaceflinger_client.so, and libpagemap.so to be exact). Hopefully HTC takes notice of both this and the wifi issue and fixes them both in future builds.
This will help both RUU 2.36.405.8 and Saga based ROMs.
Just flash through Clockwork Recovery.
It may seem simple, but it actually took me a long time to narrow down which exact files are required to fix the issue, so if you appreciate my work, donations of any amount are very much appreciated.

my phones weather app started fc'ing after i flashed 6.0.2. up to then i only had the known sunday bug. after restoring to 6.0.1 fc'ing is no longer a problem. sunday bug persists.
also tried mdj's kernel v8. everything seemed fine at first. only problem was gps, wich couldn't find any satelites. now i'm on 6.0.1 with stock kernel and i just love all the working stuff. i trust, the few not working things can and will be fixed.

It's funny, I mentioned this scrolling lag quite a few times and people said things like "I have zero lag, the ROM is flying!" and stuff like that. I thought the lag was just targeting me haha. Nice to know I'm not alone .
Thanks for the fix man, I really appreciate it. I was about to give up on the laggyness on the new ROM's until I tried this out. It works like a charm and makes them as fast, or faster than the S ports.

Just Flashed it over 5.1.1
Booted without Problems. Seems to be smoother, but idk if thats a Placebo^^
If I make a phone call or receive one, the quality is very poor, stock was amazing. Is there a fix for this? What about gingerbread... is it better?

I understand, but you asked if gingerbread is better.
There are many versions of gingerbread and one of them is leedroid ROM.
Try a different ROM that has GB in the title of the thread in the DEVs section.
If not flash the ruu for stock that gives u stock sense and 2.2.1 yet rooted. So you can flash another rom at anytime

Keep the audio fix on your SD Card. I've been using the same CM7 desire to inspire audio fix for all the euro DHD ROMs and haven't had any issues, all great results actually. currently running TB Fusion 0.4 with LeeDroid kernel 3.0.4 no issues.

Well I rooted to revolution, and did'nt like the layout... so I went back to leedroid and use that patch. Thanks man, everything is great. Just trying to get the gps to get stronger signal.

Hello All,
I am a total newbie to all of this, I just bought a Galaxy s2 Skyrocket. I managed to find good info on how to root it and did that with something called superoneclick. So it is showing rooted with out the yellow triangle. Now for my question.
There are so many custom roms out there i have no clue what to do. All i am really looking for is a custom rom that will let me do the following if it is possible, wifi tethering, custom bootanimation and if it will let me overclock. And I guess something that is stable as i see mentioned on here a lot.
Anyway anyone that has time to help a newbie I would really appreciate it. There is a lot of great info on here but most of it is written for people that at least have a clue about this stuff.
Most of all i want to say thank you to anyone who is willing to help me in advance. And if you don't feel like helping a newbie I do understand that also.

Or will everything be fine with the 2.0 and the fixes are already in there. Sorry to be so much trouble some of it is just confusing to me and I dont want to brick "i believe that is the correct term" my phone.

SkyRocketeer and Sky Ice Cream Sandwich are pretty good. Next one I will be testing out will be the Red Sonja!
Red sonja is the best. Completly stable and fast. Vibrate does not work. But other then that its its perfect.
I'm using Super Stock 2.3.6. It's a rather bare bones ROM that is close to stock but with a few tweaks and removals of stuff like bloatware and other things. Overall I'm satisfied. I'm using this until the AOSP is released and some of the other ROMs become a bit more stable.
I'm using Sky Ice Cream Sandwich, it's my daily driver. Whichever rom you install, make sure you follow the dev's instructions. Only install roms for skyrocket, very important.
Most Roms in the Dev section are Stable-ish.
Red Sonja is probably the MOST stable in my OP.....less vibration, you dont have to do any work arounds, no extra flashing less the 4 intitial flashes( really 2 flashes if you dont want the comic pages)
but after that, everything is working as it would be on stock.

I only have one question if i decide to try another rom, is there a way to go back to the way i have my phone now with out doing each step again. Like if i use the backup feature in CWM, If i do a restore will that put it back the way it is now.

That's the point of doing the Nandroid backup. It'll restore your phone to how it was. At least that's what it's supposed to do. I honestly can't attest to it because I've never had to do it *knock on wood*

Yes you can but I have never tried Alien build dont know how stable is it. ICS does offer wifi tethering. I just ICS only dont know about other rom
Firstly,thanks for Vorbeth's great work for CM9,it's wonderful ROM,I like it very much (esp. for [25 Mar] OpenSensation | CyanogenMod 9),unfortunately after fashing,my wifi can't connect the internet anyway,at last,I found a very simple way to let it work,just change the two files, one is \etc\wifi\wpa_supplicant.conf,another is \bin\wpa_supplicant,the two files I draged from lastest ROM-ARHD6.5.3,he he,flash into CM9 rom,it really works,if you have the same problem,you can try the ZIP attachment,just flash it without wipe anything,good luck!

I am confirming that this fix worked for me...previously I was only getting wifi to work with (cyan build 22-03-12) any newer build i flashed broke wifi no matter how I flashed it (i.e. full wipe or not)....

I don't know the real reason,but change the two files , WIFI is ok ,I guess that there are something which set in these two files broke our routers,so I post it here to help people like you and me, and the reason also let OP to find out more easily.

Sorry it won't, but maybe a similar method would. As long as you have the OTA files and put it into a zip it MIGHT
@pekaka Can you please describe your wifi bug? Mine just gets stuck on 'Turning on Wi-Fi...' and simply does not detect any networks. After you exit the Wi-Fi screen and return back to it,the 'Turning on Wi-fi...' is gone,the toggle reads 'ON' but no networks detected!! I seem to be the only one with this bug so I need to look for a fix.Any help?

Hi, does anyone know how to fix the blue flickering while capturing on 720p and also while watching the captured 720p video.
I itried many rom.
Roms that i tried: Fallout, Desire XS, ViperSAGA
i am using now vipersaga v1.1.0.
No problems with it
I think its because of the tweaked kernel in custom roms is not stable....
vipersage v1.1.0 has got a stock kernel 3.0.16 and it handles fine with 720p.
And also go to recovery menu to fix permissions (helped for me)

When i tried to flash the latest XI kernel there no flickerings anymore.
I will test if this is the real solution.

Edit: ICE DS 5.2 haven't got any 720p flickering problem (Try it )
Stock kernel of viper have blue flickerings. I'll try to flash latest XI kernel.
EDIT: i dont flash the XI kernel. I just use FIX PERMISSIONS on my recovery. Because fix permissions on venom tweaks dont work.

Yep i don't recommend it.... 720p still gives blue flickering....
and its very laggy and slow

i think it is faster as 6.5 it feels very comfortable and i haven't spot a bug!
Just try it out!
After few hours after i use FIX PERMISSIONS. The blue flickering appears again.
I'll try to flash the XI Kernel.
Hope it will work.

That new kernel has so much bug and lag in my experience

I've tried ICE DS 5.2 but i've found the same 720p blue flickering, even after fixing permissions in recovery.
I'm going back to 6.5
Im now using stock rooted rom. And im selling my DS becase of this bug.
Is this bug known to everyone??
Strange thing is that this problem happens only while using sense ics rom.I was using miui(jb) some days before but everything was fine with 720p videos watching/recording...
