I am trying to get the Hide My Root apk, when I install the application on my HTC vivid [ics 4.0.3 stock rom, rooted] the apk should be in the system/app/ folder as "com.amphoras.hidemyroot" except its not and I'm finding that I can't see the Hide My Root apk on my Motorola DroidX [gb 2.3.3 Liberty Rom rooted] either.
I'm thinking that the dev for Hide My Root is really clever and hides the apk under a good alias or I'm just missing something that should be obvious.
Anyone have any ideas?

Hey Everyone,
Attached is the Stock Vanilla Launcher (which was removed from HTC OTA update).
Note: All buttons are functional(ie Phone, App Drawer, and Browser) YOU MUST BE RUNNING A SENSE BASED ROM FOR THE PHONE BUTTON TO WORK CORRECTLY, OR HAVE THE SENSE DIALER APP INSTALLED!!!
Update: If you are having issues with the Phone(Dialer) button, using either adb or root explorer(or a like) push the correct Dialer(AOSP/Sense) to the SYSTEM/APPS directory.
This is the NO BS Light weight app launcher, and probably the fastest!
Thanks Again Everyone!!!!

Awesome contribution. Thank you.
I'm curious. You say to have the sense dialer installed, but in the screenshot, it looks like the aosp dialer. ?
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
Yes it is the AOSP dialer, I have tested both phone dialers with success. Note: I am running Vaelik 4.2 RC2.
If the phone button does not work, use adb or root explorer(or others) to mount the default /system:app directory with r/w, and replace it with the dialer I will provide.
Thanks again
Dear all,
Would you mind to tell me how to remove the stock lockscreen please? It isn't convenient at all. I want to install lock pro but it can't replace the stock one. My DS has rooted, thank you!
What version of sense do you use? 2.1 or 3.0?
if 3.0, you can remove idlescreen_Base.apk, idlecreen_shortcut.apk, idlescreen_photo.apk and idlescreen_weather.apk from system/app using RE
I don't want to root my phone...I just want to get rid of the brown! Is there a non-rooted theme available? I am currently using ADW which is nice for icons and such, but doesn't get rid of the brown theme everywhere else! Thanks

you can use adw/lpp themes to change some stuff around
but you need to have root to install custom themes
System themes modify the framework.res and tw-framework.res in the system files which are inaccessible without root... so that's a negative ghostrider.
Technically, you could theme your system and not have root, but why would you want to? To theme the ROM, it needs to be deodexed for easiest theming. After that you need root access to replace the files that are themed. If you wanted to have a stock looking system, you'd have to root, deodex, theme, re-odex, de-root.
You can use Go Contacts to theme Dialer and contacts, Go SMS for messaging, and Go Launcher for a mini makeover. Maybe not a complete theme, but it can help with some of the things you use alot

hi guys i have modified the contacts.apk to make the dialer more attractive but i cant install or push successfully with root explorer.
i am running cm7 on a nexus one
how can i install this as a system app?
For all those Touchwiz fans out there, here I present the Samsung Galaxy S5 launcher, ported from a clone HDC S5 ROM made by Sixis Developer Team . I have only tested it on my Stock ROM, and it works without problems. I will also provide some other apps which I ported from the S5 ROM.
No need to flash anything. Only Root access is required in order to install the S5 Launcher.
How to install:
1. Download the SecLauncher2.apk from this link: https://db.tt/ULAxtzvM
2. Copy the SecLauncher2.apk to the /system/app folder using Root Explorer or any other file manager that supports root access
(If you are doing this on any Samsung device, you will probably be asked to confirm the file replacement. In that case, I would suggest you to backup the old SecLauncher2.apk with Titanium backup)
3. Change permissions to rw-r-r
4. Reboot phone.
Note: After reboot, you will probably be asked to select the Default launcher. Select Touchwiz Home and choose one of the two options. And there you go, your S5 Launcher is ready to go.
I have tested this Launcher on my MTK6589 device running on JB 4.2.2. It should work on any device. Please report any problem after installing the Launcher.

I'm very sorry to hear that. I guess its not working on Android M. Did you push it to the right directory? I think Android 6.0 does not use the same directory for launchers as the Jelly Bean. You can also try this launcher ported by dgrules. It worked for me, together with the widget, but I removed it cause you cannot apply static wallpaper, only scrollable:

It is because I themed my phone to look like S5 Kitkat. You can see that statsubar is different and all the icons are white, just like on Kitkat. If you want to theme the Statusbar, just install the xposed module called HK Theme manager, and download the S5 theme for Cyanogen mod. I can provide the link if you dont manage to google it.

I followed the steps exactly as described. Will try that one later. Thanks
You are welcome. One more advice: with root explorer open /system folder and look for a folder named priv-apps. I think that's where Android 6.0 stores the launcher. S5 launcher has to be placed in the same folder with your stock launcher.
I have a cubot x17 mt6735. I want to install it but it doesnt start i put it in priv apps and apps where the stock browser launcher3 was. Both not starting. What can i do.
