Try wiping everything and flashing viper again. Don't mess with it and you'll get good battery life.
Also let it settle for a few days

If you're s-off, I'd suggest to try different radios. 3.18 radio drained my battery super quick but flashed 2.20 and my battery easily lasts all day.

The battery meter is not accurate whenever you flash a new ROM. You need to charge to full, and let it drain to 10-20% or so, and repeat a couple times before the battery meter can be trusted.

interesting! I always do a battery re calibration after a fresh rom install.
each firmware has different advantages and disadvantages. But for those who are interested in battery life than the processing performance of the device, which firmware and kernel has the longest battery life?

None of them; there is no answer to that. Too many variables to just say "so and so ROM and kernel give the best battery life". What apps you use, how you sync/push data, how you use your phone overall, and much more all come into play and mean that everyone is going to have different results with every ROM. Plus, your exact location versus radio probably has as much (if not more) to do with battery life than just the ROM and kernel.

Always wipe battery stats in CWR Advanced>Wipe Battery Stats whenever you flash a new ROM. Also, you have to give it a couple of days to sort itself out. I've had ROMs lose 10%/hr in standby for the first day and they usually level out after a day or two. Especially CM7. Then try messing with kernels and whatnot. Just give every setup at least 2-3 days before passing judgement.

Most important is how you use it to drain so fast. Do you have mobile, wifi or GPS on. Do you play lot of games, listening music. Personally to increase battery life I have onoff widgets on my home screen and turn them on only when I need them. You can set lower brightness as well. Why don't you install some battery monitor widget to see battery draining.

Wiping battery stats to improve battery life is a myth.
Sent from my HTC Sensation XE with Beats Audio using XDA
Hello everyone, I recently went from the Revolution HD rom to the ViperS rom. I had flashed the radio and firmware required (stated in the rom's thread) for the Revolution HD and didn't see anything stating I should flash a different firmware when changing to the ViperS rom.
Now I have noticed my battery life has been reduced tremendously, where on the old rom I could get a day of general use this struggles to last 5 hours now. I have changed the governors and settings for ViperS and reflashed it many times but nothing has changed. Am I missing something here?
You might have to re calibrate the battery.. this can be done by wiping battery stats after a full charge in 4ext touch, or using a battery calibration app from the play store.
Hope that helps
Sent from my Sensation using xda app-developers app
Wiping battery stats is actually useless, it auto wipes every time it hits 100% and doesn't actually offer better battery life. To calibrate, just charge all the way up and discharge all the way down two or three times.

If I see another misleading post about wiping battery stats I will bang my head against the wall in frustration. I dont know how many times Ive said it, IT DOESNT HELP. A google engineer even said as much and gave a full explanation on G+ (google it if you want more info).
Sense 4 ROMs naturally have more battery drain than Sense 3.6 for some reason. To calibrate the battery, charge it to 100% then let it discharge to 5% then repeat 2-3 times. For some reason ROMs need a "settle" period
This is interesting because this Rom has given me the BEST battery life I've ever had in a Rom. Have you tried disabling the logging feature in the settings? This might help a bit. Also perhaps it does need to settle a bit. I've been reading and it's about 50/50 some are getting great battery life like me, others are not....I'm not sure what the differences are that some will get great results and others not. Maybe it's in the settings.also I did not flash the new firmware...
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using xda premium
Okay I will give it more time to see if the battery just needs longer to adjust and I'll turn off logging.
So I've been running Elegancia Blitz 2.5.0 for almost a week. The first couple days, it was fantastic and I had no complaints. However, over the past two days, it's restarted at least 8 times and it's extremely frustrating. I thought it was overheating before but now it's just turning off even when it's not being used excessively. Is this a result of the new 3.33 firmware? Is there any way to solve this?

Alright, so I've been using the new Faux kernel for a few days, and I thought it was perfect until I got a random shutdown this morning . It also killed my battery from 96% to 16% although I've been using it ever since and the battery level has not dropped below 16% so I believe it's inaccurate. Hopefully this will be the last time.

you should try Bricked..i tried using sebastians but it wasn't the best experience, and faux didn't cut it either. lol
Bricked is a great kernel.are you sure your battery is not going bad? With a drain the size you had I would suspect that perhaps you need another battery ? If the stats keep draining quickly like that I'd look into perhaps buying another battery . I use a Anker long lasting battery and its been great . Sometimes when you keep getting a massive fast drain it is the battery causing it. Once you get your kernel squared away keep a eye on the battery for massive fast drain if it continues to do it, like 96% to 16% in an hour then I'd look into another battery also. Hope this helps. Best of luck.

Just installed ViperS, latest version, love the rom but battery is really bad. Going through setup and using the screen on I'm losing about 2% a minute. Is this normal for the first couple of hours? Is there a fix?
It's actually getting worse now, just lost 5% in 2 mins, any help guys? Need my phone fully working for work tomorrow.
If you can, flash Revelation 1.0.2 rom, great battery life.

Battery stats gets messed up after a fresh rom flash. Give it time and couple of full recharge cycles to get stable. Drain full Battery and charge it again to 100%. ViperS has a great battery life. Don't worry your phone battery will last normal. Just battery stats gets weird.
