So I've been running Elegancia Blitz 2.5.0 for almost a week. The first couple days, it was fantastic and I had no complaints. However, over the past two days, it's restarted at least 8 times and it's extremely frustrating. I thought it was overheating before but now it's just turning off even when it's not being used excessively. Is this a result of the new 3.33 firmware? Is there any way to solve this?

Alright, so I've been using the new Faux kernel for a few days, and I thought it was perfect until I got a random shutdown this morning . It also killed my battery from 96% to 16% although I've been using it ever since and the battery level has not dropped below 16% so I believe it's inaccurate. Hopefully this will be the last time.

you should try Bricked..i tried using sebastians but it wasn't the best experience, and faux didn't cut it either. lol
Bricked is a great kernel.are you sure your battery is not going bad? With a drain the size you had I would suspect that perhaps you need another battery ? If the stats keep draining quickly like that I'd look into perhaps buying another battery . I use a Anker long lasting battery and its been great . Sometimes when you keep getting a massive fast drain it is the battery causing it. Once you get your kernel squared away keep a eye on the battery for massive fast drain if it continues to do it, like 96% to 16% in an hour then I'd look into another battery also. Hope this helps. Best of luck.

Hello everyone posted this thread up so that I can get to the bottom of the random reboots and strange battery % eny feed back would be great thanks
I have been on viper Rom for a few months now. its been a great rom until I changed the Kernal in the tweaks it just hasn't been the same . random reboots and battery % has been all over the place jumping from 80% to 10% after reboot. I have kept to all the default settings in the aroma installer no uv and no oc. the phone works no problems when on the charger witch makes me think its a battery issue. I have tried cleaning the battery grounding pins and placing a bit of card at the top of the battery with no success I am at a loss here. feed back would be great thanks for your time

Hi,
Well , you won't do that again...
Reflash the ROM.
Choose the settings with the original kernel.
The rest of your data and settings should remain intact.

I think it was anthrax or pyd am not sure. The kernel at the moment is bricked I can use the phone when on the charger as soon
As I disconnect it 5 mins or so it will reboot with a different battery % .
Its so frustrating honestly ready for throwing the phone off the wall to see if that helps

Hi,
OK
You should think about saving all your data, wiping the phone clean, and start again from scratch with the good kernel.
If that fails, then, you should look for a new battery.

My GF and I have the same phone, and hers has the bone stock ROM from TMO/HTC, and she's been getting a lot of strange reboot/battery drain cycles going on lately. I've got an older ARHD ICS ROM, and I've had no trouble at all with it.
Her phone went from 50% to 8% after a reboot last night, and after about 10 hours on the charger, it's only showing about 75%. If she has any more issues, than I'm going to put the latest ARHD ROM on it and call it good.

The battery meter is not accurate whenever you flash a new ROM. You need to charge to full, and let it drain to 10-20% or so, and repeat a couple times before the battery meter can be trusted.

each firmware has different advantages and disadvantages. But for those who are interested in battery life than the processing performance of the device, which firmware and kernel has the longest battery life?

None of them; there is no answer to that. Too many variables to just say "so and so ROM and kernel give the best battery life". What apps you use, how you sync/push data, how you use your phone overall, and much more all come into play and mean that everyone is going to have different results with every ROM. Plus, your exact location versus radio probably has as much (if not more) to do with battery life than just the ROM and kernel.
i just lose 1% a night
Hey Guys,
I didn't know where to ask this question so I made a new thread here.
My question is that which ROM should I use for best battery life??
I have tried most of the ROM in the two sections. But all ROMS drain battery so much. I have tried different Kernels as well. Nothing improved.
Please let me know if you have any in mind. I'll give it a try. Most of the roms work 9 hours max. I'm looking for more than that.

Screen on time/Radio on time are the killers if you use your radios and/or keep the screen on a lot, that makes sense.
With Viper and bulletproof give me an average of about 14 hours with about 2 hours of screen on time and 3 hours of Bluetooth headphones + Tune in Radio.
If you're using your phone a lot then no rom will help you. AOSP roms will not have as good battery as Sense but still pretty decent.
Invest in a pocket charger or one of those extended battery cases.

I dont use radio or anything else. Only thing i use is texting or calling. or some times games.

Battery stats gets messed up after a fresh rom flash. Give it time and couple of full recharge cycles to get stable. Drain full Battery and charge it again to 100%. ViperS has a great battery life. Don't worry your phone battery will last normal. Just battery stats gets weird.

Hello XDA users,
I have been Using the HTC Sensation XE for about 7 months now. But im having some issue's with it.
My phone randomly reboots at calls, typing text and taking photo's. Also the phone's gets quite hot. I looked up the problem and found out that the battery is the problem. and with some more reseach i found that its a common issue with the sock battery so i replaced it for the ANKER 1900mAh LI-ION BATTERY. After replacing the stock battery with the ANKER battery that issue has been solved. But my phone still gets quite hot once its in its rebooting loop. The phone reboots it lets my fill in my PIN-Code and after a minute it reboots again. once this has happened a few times i started to notice the phone is getting quite hot behind my Micro SD CARD.
Do you guys have any idea's what the issue could be?

do you have overclocked too much?
also those rebooting loops happened only once or do you have them frequently?
if it happened once then just switch off the device and let it cool for 10 minutes
then switch it on again

I did not overlock it. its underlocked once my screen goes of to save battery life. and when it gets stuck inside the boot loops sometimes i have them a few times a day and other times i dont have them for a week so it seems kinda random to me. and mostly when i leave the phone off for 10 min (battery fully taken out like in the picture) it solves the loop.
Could it be a software issue?
