I don't think we have the tar file (use for Odin) yet because Samsung haven't release the full firmware yet. Once they posted the file, then our devs can create the full firmware tar file to be use with Odin with no wipe or full wipe.

Well that would explain why I couldn't find it, haha. Thanks. Looks like the source was released, so hopefully I will have it soon.

How get back Stock 2.3.6?

I have been looking... I can't find the flashable Odin files.
I want to go back to Stock to the latest OTA 2.3.6 (UCLA3) // Where I can find the correct .TAR to flash it via Odin?
You can use the 2.3.5 then check for update... or I used the 2.3.6 nandroid backup posted in the Dec thread under stock firmware thread and found the stock recovery file and used Odin to flash it. Not sure where I got stock recovery but if you pm me I can give u link to my dropbox...

Here is Silver's LA3 stock tar you can flash via Odin: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1519648
There is a cwm-flashable rooted stock rom in the dev section somewhere too if you want to look for that...

There are more than one stock firmwares for your model, so i don' t think anyone will be able to help you with that request.
Furthermore, why do you think you will have an easier time downloading the same file from this forum instead of the original place?
All you need to do is Download the correct file, from samfirmware.com, on your PC and use Odin to flash it to your tablet/note.
It's useless, IMHO, to Download it on your tablet because you will still need to transfer it to your PC to use it...
(You can register a free account on samfirmware to be able to download)

Well that's all for now, 3M

Deleted....sorry I was on another thread and thinking confused. If you want to flash back to stock factory file give me a second see if I can find the tar file for you.
buhohitr said:
This is the original firmware and you must flash it using ODIN. This include rom/bootloader/modem/kernel (everything), it will also wipe your twrp recovery also. After flashed this it will bring your phone back to factory stock. If you're thinking something else don't flash it and just post what you want and people here can help.

If you already have strong signal and no issue with data drop, then you don't need to upgrade, otherwise yes you could upgrade and possible it may cure your poor signal...hopefully. In my case, this new radio did nothing to my phone signal.

PLEASE HELP, cant ODIN back to stock

Everything was fine. tried the minuit (or however you spell it) mod. Ended up in a boot loop. i can get into download mode fine. Downloaded the stock firmware to odin back and start over, but when i try, it checks the MD5 just fine. starts the "setupconnection" then i get a fail "can't open the serial(COM) port.
Am i doing something wrong here? Any help at all would be greatly appreciated!
What firmware version were you on before bootloop and what version are you trying to ODIN?

You need odin 3.10.6 and make sure you downloaded the latest stock firmware .tar. when flashing, don't move the phone, cord or laptop (if thats what you have).

I failed to use ODIN flash the entire stock ROM which is over 3gb tar.md5 file. Could I download the stock recovery only and flash by ODIN? Also, I am not sure if PIT file helps. I couldn't find PIT file download yet.

Not completely understanding you. Are you saying Odin is failing when trying to Odin latest firmware?
Yes, I failed to flash the latest firmware by ODIN 3.10. I read another post mentioned PIT file to flash to avoid this issue. However, I don't know where I could download the PIT file for this phone.

edit: try to use the same firmware your currently on (what i did) and the thing that worked for me was using an older sammy usb cable. Beleive it or not the original one kept failing on me. i had a thicker black one that was from my s4 maybe or note 2 i think and used that one and boom went thru. good luck

There is no Pit partition..

I tried to install superSu via samsung odin, but it says there is no pit partition. Someone told me that I need pit file for recovering it. Where can I find it?
Are there anyother solution for this?

There is no pit partition. The pit file is a file that describes the partitions on your phone for Odin. It's stored inside your Bootloader but you don't have to worry about that.
If your flashing from Odin it will use your current pit for flashing. If you are installing a new stock rom a pit file comes with it inside the CSC .tar.md5

I don't follow what you mean. Please reread what I said. Pit files are in every single stock rom, inside the CSC_OYM archive
