[Q] Is corporate calendar working on JB 4.2 - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket SGH-I727

Has anyone been able to get corporate calendar (exchange) syncing properly on any JB 4.2?
If yes which ROM and GAPPS have been used?
Any help to further debug this issue would be highly appreciated.
OLD POST:
I just flashed JEDI SoA (wiped System/Factory/Cache/Dalvik) and everything is working fine.
I successfully configured my Exchange account ... emails and contacts are sync without any problem but nothing appears in the calendar.
I forced a sync of the calender under Settings/Accounts ... no errors ... but still nothing in the Calendar.
I also tried installing Orthus 8 and I'm getting the same problem.
Under Calendar -> Setting -> Account I see a calendar for my Gmail account but nothing under the corporate one

Re: JEDI SoA 4.2.2 exchange calendar not sync

same issue on Gnex.
I'm having the same issue on my Gnex, already on 2 different 4.2.2 ROMs. Corporate email and contacts are set up properly, but there is no Corporate Calendar in the "calendars to display" of Calendar settings. Under sync all 3 appear, calendar mail and contacts. I tried Slimbean and now on JBSourcery 5.1, both with custom (from the devs side) gapps. Could the gapps package be the fault? When I installed another 4.2.2 ROM, I installed the oficial gapps package for 4.2.2 and calendar sync was present. What apps/services are responsible for the corporate calendar sync ?
BR,
Ivan.

Initially I was using Superlite Superfast (vicom Rutumax 4.1.2) ... I'm still using as my daily drive.
Then I installed Jelly Jedi and I also tried Ortus.
Anyway before flashing the new ROM I always perform a "Wipe system" + "Factory reset" (at least 2x).
Exchange works fine on Superlite Superfast 4.1.2 (email + contact + calendar).
I never managed to get any 4.2.2 to work with Calendar ... Emails and Contacts worked initially and then stopped working after a while.

Let me try one more time ...
Has anyone been able to get corporate calendar (exchange) syncing properly on any JB 4.2?
If yes which ROM and GAPPS have been used?
If no ... is this a well know problem of JB 4.2?
Is this a ROM or GAPPS problem?
Thanks

I tried and didn't work. Email are fine but still nothing in the calendar.
Looking around I noticed that my Calendar apparently is working properly only on the distribution using Stock Exchange (SecExchange.apk) vs Exchange2.apk.
Could this be the reason?

I'm getting my outlook calendar to sync also.

Found a solution that worked for me:good:: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=31803329&postcount=10
I have no data plan on my mobile so I changed "push" in settings to manual. Calendar showed up when I changed back to push. I haven't tested yet if I can sync without push though, but now know where the problem is.:victory:

Thanks snigel, followed the suggestion and worked. During the setup of the exchange account I left the frequency on "push" and the calendar was properly populated. I then changed the setting to manual and the calendar still show the exchange account in the list to sync.

maybe I'm too late... but I also had the same issue... had to set the sync to "Push". This fixed it for me. You can change back later.

[Q] Twitter for Android - sync contacts broken in ICS / Android 4.0.3 ?

I upgraded my Nexus S from Android 2.3.1 to 4.0.3 and all was well: those I follow on Twitter turned up in the new People app. But recently I ran a factory reset to try and improve battery life and since re-installing Twitter for Android it refuses to sync my contacts.
My Twitter account has been added to the Settings > Accounts & sync screen. What I get for "Sync Contacts" is: "Sync is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly". "Sync Twitter" is working fine as is syncing with googlemail accounts.
My colleague has a Samsung Galaxy Nexus (also running Android 4.0.3) and I got him to add his Twitter account to the Settings > Accounts & sync screen. He is getting the exact same problem.
Is anyone else getting this? It's been broken for a few days now.
I'm running the AOSP oICS and it doesn't work for me either. Try to sync contacts with twitter and it just fails. NS4G.

It's a problem with Twitter. It was fine a few days ago on stock Galaxy Nexus with 4.0.1 and then it just stopped working.
Mine works, but I installed from a backup so they may be gone when it updates.
Mine also doesn't work. I submitted it as an issue to them and I recommend you guys do the same.

It's a 4.0.3 or Twitter 3.0.1 error I think, not sure. Anyway I contacted them (FWIW) and I got the basic reply:

Yeah I figured in the meanwhile, not app/OS version specific, lets hope they can fix it soon because my contacts are all grey and boring atm
guess what..u guys are not alone. Mine also suddenly causing me similar issue since last night.
Definitely not an ICS issue. It has to be a twitter issue, because it also stopped working on my gingerbread-running Optimus One.
do you think it's a twitter problem or is ics?
I sent a message with the link ... waiting response now ... =)
Wait & see
Same here! No ICS Issues confirmed
I can confirm the issue, in my Xoom running ICS and also in my phone running Gingerbread, both with the same message using the same account... So I think is twitter fault...
So we have to wait for an update...

Go to your calendar. Open settings. Click calendars and make sure the one with your Gmail is checked. Should sync.

Email.apk and exchange folders on 4.2.1

Hi all,
I'm using Paranoidandroid 4.2.1 on Nexus and experiencing no folder sync/browsing with exchange accounts.

Same for me! Realy missing the email.apk and exchange connectivity (both calendar and mail)!
Using Rufdroid 1.2.0 ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1817897 ), als based on 4.2.1
Great ROM but email is missing (gmail cannot connect to exchange server).
Hope someone have a working email.apk for 4.2.1
I solved just by selecting sync period to the longest one. Magically folders appeared right!!!

I'm wrong, tried to factory reset the phone and after set the exchange account, folders don't sync again!
Magically folders appeared after a long time I set the account... just after some hour of (maybe) frequent syncs.

Roms with working Exchange?

I have trie both Revelation and ViperS, but none of them works with Exchange (not possible to add account).
Is there any other roms on Jelly Bean for HTC Sensation XE that can handle Exchange accounts (and Facebook syncronisation)?

Do you need it to be Sense-based? If not, have a look at droidevs HTC Sensation ROMs & Development.
It's a bit of a jungle because of the many virations and many(!) updates, but all of them are supposed to support exchange, and those that don't (in their current version) are already identified in the forum threads.

You CAN use exchange with JB Roms.
This is how you do it:
Iceberger said:
With a help of an older JB rom (an ICS rom wont work), in this case ViperS v3.0.0 and Titanium Backup I came with this workaround.
1. Install ViperS v3.0.0 (JB) and add your Exchange and Hotmail accounts. in v3.0.0 it works!
2. In Titanium backup choose Accounts and Mail 5.5.2311133269.528614.493299 (E-MAIL ACCOUNT SETTINGS) to backup
3. Install ViperS v3.1.1, Restore Accounts and Mail 5.5.2311133269.528614.493299 (E-MAIL ACCOUNT SETTINGS)
4. Reboot
5. In accounts & sync enable synchronization for Exchange and Hotmail (and POP accounts, if you have them)

This is a workaround, not a fix.
You should be able to change password, but I am not aure.
For multiple accounts, just add 3 or more accounts in 3.0.0, and delete them after restore in 3.1.1. Then if you'll ever need to get them back, restore again using titanium, and you are good to go.
This is only until the devs fix the issue.
And if this is inconvenient, just use another mail client for the time being.

Google Calendar post 4.4 Kit Kat Update

Is anyone having trouble with the Google Calendar (from the Play Store, updated on 11/20) since upgrading to 4.4? Whenever I install the Google Calendar from the Play Store it stops the default Moto X calendar from working and neither the Google Calendar or the Stock Calendar work when it is installed.

the "stock" moto X calendar is the "old" Android calendar. why they don't merge when you install the google calendar is beyond me. i had both operational (at the same time) in 4.2.2 and ended up disabling the android calendar. they functionally identical, but only one is updated in the market.
I been wondering about this also. Hopefully this has been fixed in 4.4. It's amazing how Motorola missed this.

With 4.2.2 I was able to successfully "disable" the AOSP calendar under the App settings (unrooted, stock) and the Play Store Calendar would still function fine. After the Kit Kat update, when I disable AOSP calendar, it breaks the Play Store version. This is really annoying because if I leave them both installed, besides the clumsy look of having 2 calendars in the app drawer, I get 2 separate notifications. I suppose I could try disabling notifications on the AOSP version... but anyone have other suggestions or similar experience?
This is odd, on my Verizon moto x DE I just have one calendar app and always have, both on 4.2.2 and the new 4.4. This must only be a problem for other carriers?

You can re-enable in under Settings->Apps->Disabled tab (far right)
Yes this is very strange, why would they leave the lesser of 2 still hanging around....especially in Kitkat.
Also, make sure under settings, Google, that calender sync is still check marked.
I've had this problem on multiple builds and it drove me crazy. To fix it go to Settings > Apps > All and select Calendar Storage, then clear data. Either calendar should work without issue after doing this.
Here is how I got it to work. Disable Calender in settings>apps>all. Next go to Calender Storage in settings>apps>all. Force stop Calender Storage and clear data. After that install the Google Calender from the play store if you haven't already. Finally, reboot and it should sync with your Google accounts.

When I did it I already had Google Calendar installed from the Play Store and I hadn't disabled the stock Calendar. I've also done it with the stock Calendar removed and only the Google Calendar from the Play Store installed and it worked.
I don't think that disabling the stock Calendar before clearing Calendar Storage data or rebooting afterwards is necessary - at least it wasn't for me, but I never tried it with only the stock calendar installed (I hate the stock calendar!). You might need to go to your account sync settings and uncheck + recheck the Calendar sync to force a sync, but this should happen on its own regardless.
