[Q] Changing Screenshot Default Format PNG -> JPEG - HTC One S

It seems that T-Mobile MMS doesn't play nicely with the default .PNG screenshot format. They look fine on my phone, but once sent via MMS they are extremely blurry and almost completely illegible.
It's not a file size issue, as any other photos (at the full 8 megapixel setting) look great. So, my question is, can I change the default screenshot to JPEG, or does anyone know another permanent workaround?
For reference, the first image is the original screenshot, and the second is the screenshot as it gets sent/seen by the recipient.

Use go sms it has an option to preserve mms quality.

How can I Video/Pic Compress?.. Is there an App out?.

How would I go about compressing the file size in terms of Mbs used I look through my file manager and into dcim folder and look at all the pics I took and they go from 810kbs to 3mbs. And want to if there is a way to just have a app or something that I can do from the phone to compress the file that it does not take much "mbs" I think total I have about 200 mbs give or take of just pics and I do back up my pics. And same for video (i have about 20mbs give or take) I know about the settings in the camera and video to change the resolutions but I dont want to lose resolutions but not take up so much space. If any of this makes sense lol sorry if it does not lol.
If you crop an image it greatly compressed it. I don't know if any app to do this on multiple images.

There are free apps to shrink pics in the market.
I use Image Shrink Lite, but I've also used Reduce Photo Size. Both work well, both integrate into the gallery so when you get ready to send a pic, it gives you the option to first send the pic to the app to shrink its size (you pick the final resolution). Both preserve the original file, and save a copy
Image Shrink Lite works first time, every time. Reduce Photo Size didn't always seem to work, so ISL is now my go-to app.
Don't know about video.

Android now to support high resolution photos for contacts in ICS!

About time Google fixed this stupid pix-elated contact picture sync, cant wait for ICS to come out even more after seeing all these bugs being addressed, Google FTW!!

Large photos
Android now supports high resolution photos for contacts. Now, when you push a photo into a contact record, the system processes it into both a 96x96 thumbnail (as it has previously) and a 256x256 "display photo" that's stored in a new file-based photo store (the exact dimensions that the system chooses may vary in the future). You can add a large photo to a contact by putting a large photo in the usual PHOTO column of a data row, which the system will then process into the appropriate thumbnail and display photo records.
Yeah its good to fix on this issue but it will be better to keep 512x512 display pic instead of 256x256

Agreed 512x512 would be better, at least its an improvement.

MMS picture quality

Is the MMS picture quality bad irrespective of ROM, or is each ROM different?
I'm running JB 4.2.1 (Scott's CM10 ROM) and whenever I take a screenshot and send it through MMS it looks horrendous. Pictures fare a bit better for some reason, but not much.
Any ideas?
There is a file size limit for mms pictures. I'm not aware of what is is exactly (100kb?)
There are two main factors in jpeg file size. the first is the image size or resolution, the second is compression. The more compression the more artifacts in the image. Either way you are not going to be able to send a full quality 8mp pic via mms. Something has to give obviously.
I seem to recall that when I originally went from froyo to GB the mms pictures were smaller in pixel count, but better in quality when i sent them. I'm not 100% sure though.
I don't think it would affect pictures you receive though, that would be dependent on whoever sent you the photo.

S4 Camera / Photo / Email Problems, you too?

Anyone else having these problems:
(1) blurry photo's - I have removed the sticker and still get a lot of blurry photos. Sometimes it could be due to me moving the camera but most of the time I try to hold it very steady. I get the issue with HDR, Sport, and Auto modes. I did some research on this and tried chaning some settings but I still get the problem a lot. Some full sun photos look great, but way more blurry photo's than I would expect (coming from iPhone 3GS as a reference). I have these settings for past couple weeks:
PhotoSize: 4128x2322(16:9)
Burst Off, FaceDetect Off, Metering CenterWeighted, ISO Auto, AutoNight Off
Antishake Off (I think this was On and still had blurry photos so tried off),
GPS Tag Off, Review Off, VolumeKey Camera, Timer Off, WhiteBalance Auto, Exposure 0, Guidelines On, Flash Off, Voice Off, ContextFilename Off, ShutterSound Off
(2) edited/cropped pictures (from the Gallery) are saved in PNG format, why not JPG!?!? Did I miss an option for this somewhere?
(3) I use yahoo mail, occasionally I share a photo from the photo Gallery app to email (from the s4 to my email account). After receiving the email, I cannot view the pictures in the yahoo email webpage or on the computer after downloading them from yahoo). Same for JPG and PNG. Windows Photo Viewer says "Windows Photo Viewer can't open this picture because the file apears to be damaged, corrupted, or is too large". In the stock S4 email app, I have the Default image size set to Original. What is going on???
(4) Pictures are not rotated correctly when viewed in Windows (browsing DCIM folder directly from Windows). Is thi camera or Windows... this is frustrating that this type of issue still exists in the camera world with all the sensors.... the image should not need to be rotated! Is there a fix for this?
I did some searching and I see some people have crashes with the S4 Gallery app... I have not had that problem.
Thanks!
Another problem
(5) in the Gallery, if I use "Set As" to set lockscreen wallpaper from a photo I edited with the Gallery edit feature.... it won't set to lockscreen. I wonder if it is because of changing images to PNG???
I tried going into Application Manager and clearing cache and defaults for the gallery.... same problem.
My picturers rarely come out blurry, and I can set pictures that have been edited as my lock screen or home screen wallpaper...unsure about the whole yahoo email thing as I don't use yahoo. And I don't see the big deal of edited pictures being saved as PNG instead of jpeg...than again I'm not a picture snob so I wouldn't know the difference.

[Q] How to Make Camera Photos Smaller File Size?

Didn't see any options or settings in camera app for smaller file size or compression? I want to take photos for work and have to email multiple ones in 1 email. When i take photos they are like 2.8-3mb each! Need them to be more like 1mb each in size if possible?
I know in stock messaging app if you attach a photo you took with device camera it automatically makes the photo smaller in size so it will send via mms but no feature for email?
Camera settings>crop. Choose one of the smaller sizes before you take the picture.
