Directions to install
1. Download apk.

I might... Can't imagine samsung changing that app. They are not like HTC always changing widgets with a new version of android.
Only suggestion I have is back up before doing it.
When I get time I will flash a 4.1.2 note 2 touch wiz rom to try it.
If it doesn't I will make the mod again

Thank you looks fantastic

CleanROM6
I just tried to install this on CleanROM 6 and it said couldn't install. Any ideas as to why? Tried using Solid Explorer and also Root Explorer.

I assume you copy and pasted it to system/app and changed the permissions?

I'm having the same issue on clean ROM 6 but I read the OP. Not sure what the heck I'm doing wrong.
Any ideas

Permissions need to be set at r-w-r-r. Then reboot.

I renamed the current one to .bak then moved over, updated permissions (see my screenshot) or as Thebear j koss mentioned, r-w-r-r. Reboot, add from widget.

Make sure you are uninstalling any previous edition of any app before you install any modded version. I use system uninstaller to delete any apk before i try to install a modded apk.

I overwrote mine and can not get this transparent one to work. I keep getting problem with widget, and Touchwiz stopped responding errors. Permissions are set properly.
thanks

In case anyone needs it, I followed these instructions and was able to extract the original widget apk file and put it back.
Would've loved to have Accuweather Widget transparent, but I guess I need to be on a full rom instead of a barely modified stock one.

try this, http://d-h.st/5a3 its show AccuweatherWidget[1].apk, just rename it to AccuweatherWidget.apk.

Followed the instructions and works fine

odex?
Couldn't get it to work on 4.1.2. I moved to /system/app, set permissions, and rebooted. I'm on a stock 4.1.2 odexed ROM. Will this only work for deodexed?

Update to origninal post
Ok Guys I posted a flashable zip in the 1st post. JBeitel and I both tested and it works fine. Enjoy!!!!

Samsung Keyboard apk

Can someone post the apk for their international version of the Note? I love the fact it has a full dedicated number row but the AT&T version does not have a dedicated number row and I would like to replace it if possible.

Ok just a thought. You guys trying to replace the samsung keyboard, are you on a odex or deodex rom?If you are on an odex rom, after replacing keyboard did you delete the odex file of the old keyboard? It is in /system/app and has the same name as the keyboard with type .odex.Did you give to the new keyboard the correct permissions rw-r--r-- and reboot your phone?I am on cm9 ics rom so i can not check it

Dont'work it, the file is untouchable:

That's because the filesystem is read-only... I guess you're not able to set "Mount R/W" ... You could try to copy the file using adb:
Code:
adb shell remount rw
adb push voicetalk.apk /system/app
adb chmod 644 /system/app/voicetalk.apk
adb shell remount ro
Or change file explorer and see what happens...
so... you guys say it work.. can we see some screenshots for the n7000 users that are still on GB waiting for ICS to officially come out.. and what functions work and dont work on the S-Voice from SGS3. can you say the silly things like where to hide a body or how much wood can a wood chuck chuck. like you can on the SGS3 and you get the normal responses like you do on the iphone 4s siri. ?? i am just curious.. i enjoy messing on my wifes SGS3 (that we bought near are house in HK)
Yeah, can work after put it into system/app,press install to replace the old file.
M in Alba V2.1..
I am getting server error any ideas on stock rooted lpf

Anyways if its not a .zip then its impossible to flash with recovery...this doesn't mean all zips are flashable tho...what makes a zip flashable is an updater script located in meta-inf/google/android/ (I think that's the location...)

Yea, that GoogleSearch.apk posted above is not from Leak#1.. you need one with this sha1 hash: d97306272d64c54817342b2d81e47d3d9090cecc - that's what the mini-ota from leak#1 to final ics is looking for.
And, why didn't you do as the Google Now install said and just name that GoogleQuickSearchBox.apk to .apk.bak..?
I am sure I have the proper apk somewhere on my home computer - I could send it later, if you don't have any luck by then.

Try moving to system/app 1st. Then change permissions to r w r r. Reboot. If it doesn't work still you are missing some other vzw stuff needed to make it work. Easier to just flash the zip of debloated apps and removing the stuff you don't want after making sure removal of 1 doesn't break the function of another...

After you fix permissions you just need to reboot. Don't try to install it because it will say app not installed. Reboot and the app will be in your app drawer. If the app doesn't work you may be missing some lib files.

Could someone help me? I have the lg g2 rooted with the cloudy g3 rom. I flashed the zip file and nothing happened. Moved apk to sys/app and changed permissions to rwrr. Rebooted. App is now in the app drawer but force closing. Above mikeman says this could be an issue of missing lib files?

May not work since it's a port not a stock based ROM. I would ask in the thread of the ROM for help.

Ok thank you for your help. For some reason I don't get an option to post in the rom thread.

You need more posts. Not allowed to post in development with under 10 posts or something...

Ah, thank you. After much digging, I actually found a thread about this exact issue. I'll follow that one. Thanks again for your help.
