Hello all,
I've seen this posted a few times either without resolution or a suggestion to reflash clean by wiping data, which did not work for me.
I originally rooted my tab via Odin on my PC when my tab was running 4.0.3 and then again when I updated to 4.0.4. Everything was fine. Then, when jellybean came out for the p3110, I flashed this via mobile Odin, it worked great, but I started seeing a corrupt display during boot for a second or two (green and light red vertical bars in a random pattern). I tried to get rid of this, but couldn't. I even flashed the official p3113 jellybean image from Samsung updates and it too has this boot corruption. Now I am on Cm 10.1, everything is working great, but I still have that annoying display corruption during boot.
Is there any way to fix this? My tablet is working fine, but I am worried about resale value.

I think we both have the same problem - look at my thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2178196
Did you find a method to fix this bug?
Greetings,
Srynx
You need to flash a JB bootloader for your device. Method is in the first post CM10.1 thread in the 7-inch development section along with bootloaders for P3110 and P3100. There's a JB bootloader for the P3113 on post #1250 of that thread.
Look for the correct 51XX bootloader in the equivalent 10 inch Tab2 thread.
I thank you so much!
Greetings,
Srynx

What if I flashed the JB bootlader (everything works fine with CM10.1) and then downgrade to an ICS ROM (4.0.4 with CSC DBT for example on Sammobile P3110XWBLH3 as PDA and P3110DBTBLH2 as CSC)?
Flashing to an official German ROM could be necessary for guarantee/warranty.
Will I have a bricked P3110?
It took me a bit of searching to find the correct thread, since there are quite a few CM 10.1 threads in the dev section!
I'm posting the correct thread in case anyone else has this issue:

Okay, the question could be a bit difficult
I have read the thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1722745 but it still won't help me.
What should I do if I have a JB-based ROM (with a JB bootloader) and want to downgrade to an official ICS ROM which I can find on Sammobile? Do I have to flash the firmware normally with ODIN (1-part firmware as PDA) or do I have to flash an ICS-bootloader before/after? Or is the bootlader in Sammobile's firmware included or do run ICS ROMs with JB-bootloaders?

I can confirm this works for me. I was having trouble flashing with Odin earlier... My windows XP VM kept crashing and rebooting every time I tried. I finally updated virtual box and that seemed to do the trick. My boot time seems much faster now and I see no corruption at all. Thanks!

it works for me to i was looking a long time to solve this thanks!!
I had stock 4.0.4 and i flashed stock 4.1.2 for my p3100. I see the glitch on startup - should I flash this bootloader for JB too? Is it safe and will it work with my rom version?

Last time i ever rooted a mobile it was my old Htc desire a few years ago now, i have had my samsung s3 for over 3 months but after updating to Jellybean i have had a few errors coming up, main one was touchwiz failed and also failed to update even though i am running Jellybean. I think the failed to update is to do with logs on my Mobile or something like that. I fixed the touch wix problem by installing nova launcher as well but just fancy Rooting it Now.
I have Vodafone contract running 4.1.1 (JB) and the model number is GT-I9300
I have been through the threads but there is that many different s3 info i was wanting to make sure i follow the correct thread, would also like reccomendations on which ROM to use and if you can duel boot it with 2 different rom options as well.
Thanks for reading and hope i have posted in the correct thread
I am pretty new to it but the S3 is the easiest phone ever to root. Just head over to the I9300 forum and look for CFRoot 6.4 and use Odin to flash that. Took me about 5 minutes.
I am running Siyah Kernel which allows me to dual boot CRDroid rom and Cm10.

I am no longer supporting this version of CF-Root. I have personally moved away from permanent custom recoveries. I will still be providing roots by way of CF-Auto-Root (click). The downloads in this thread will remain available, I just won't be updating them.

This is the one I used http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1695238
Though if you read the top of that it appears to have been replaced by auto root. So I would go for the latter.

CF-Root is used for installing Custom ROMS.
CF-Auto-Root is for stock ROMs and installing SuperSU (gaining root) ONLY.
Hi, I'm using a Galaxy tab 2 7.0 P3110. android version 4.1.1. I've already rooted it however i don't have CWM installed.
I would like to know how I can update it's version, but I would like to have a nandroid backup first.
So my first question is, how do I install CWM if my tab's already rooted?
2nd, how can I update its version?
Sorry for my noob questions. I already tried reading and searching for the answers here in XDA, but I'm still lost.
Thank you.

Download odin flashables and flash through odin link
Or best way is to download ClockworkMod from gplay and download cwm from there and it'll flash directly.
Download 4.2.2 or 4.1.2 version from here link
I suggest 4.1.2 caz u can swap ur device sdcard on this version for gaming, if u r not a gamer than 4.2.2 is the best!!
Best of luck.
Looking for instructions on how to go from rooted 4.1.2 to latest build. I found a zip to update the modem and have done so, but would like to update everything if possible without messing up root.

This is an easy upgrade (and one I did, going from a 4.1.2 ROM called BoneStock 3.4 to MOAR 7.1 and then to my current TW4.3 ROM, CleanROM 8.0). Its pretty similar to any other ROM you have flashed. You just need to make sure you flash a ML1 modem (which it appears you have already done), then flashing the new ROM.
There are a number of good TW 4.3 ROMs found on the Verizon Galaxy S III Android Development thread, and while I have experience with Mother of All ROMS aka MOAR (recently updated to v8.0) and CleanROM, but each phone is different so what works best on mine (or even what has the features you value most) may differ for you. Best to research each of the TW 4.3 ROMs by reading the specific developer threads and even asking questions once you have researched. The developers and the community is very helpful once you have done your own homework. Pay attention to what the developer instructs in the OP of each thread, as most of any question have about how to install are usually answered in the OP.
The good news... these ROMs are getting rock solid... pretty problem free and smooth. Good luck and enjoy the new ROM!
UPDATE: one suggestion... you may want to update whatever Recovery you are using. I do know going to a 4.4 ROM requires the latest TWRP (the recovery I favor) to 2.6.3.1 which I am pretty sure is the latest version. It may not be required for 4.3, but seems a good idea none the less. You will also note that your files will then be stored in a different place (I am not technical enough to explain this... so do some research on that). This will make a difference when you back up important files (pictures, messages etc) and also when you do the nandroids. And always, always make nandroids!
Hi All
Just little advice required if you can help.
Had my GT-N8010 for maybe 3 years now and not done any flashing for a long time.
Currently running custom rom Android revolution HD9.0 which is 4.1.2
Have got hold of N8010XXUDNE4_N8010BTUDNF1_BTU_N8013.tar which i believe is offical stock rom?
Can i just flash this with ODIN and will it work ok.
Will it update the bootloader for KitKat ??
Thanks
Sorry for posting in the wrong section
Basically, I need a rom/kernel I can flash that is a stock rom. It would be very helpful if it is compatible with the 4 capacitive buttons model.
It is a SCH-R760 and I hope you guys can help me!
( I currently have siyah installed as a mid-way point, it isnt compatible with the model of the phone but it boots into the os so i can actually use it, still looking for help tho )
Hello,
I have sent you a personal message with a link to your stock firmware, it is the 2.3.6 though, that is all I'm finding for your model.
If i remember correctly, the S2 Epic 4G Touch(SPH-D710) firmware will work on your device, it has the 4 capacitive buttons on the bottom. I have the SPH-D710, when I first got it it was used, it had a stock SCH-R760X firmware on it, I restored it to the SPH-D710. The D710 has 4.1.2. stock if you want to try it.
You can find the D710(SPRINT) firmware at "rwilco12's Android Repository" every stock file that exists for the D710 is there, stock and custom recoveries, stock modems, stock firmwares, stock pre-rooted firmwares, everything.
