Hi,
You need to run a RUU
Look HERE
Choose a Gingerbread RUU.
This will return your phone completely to stock.
You can then, re-install a custom recovery and flash a GB ROM
May I suggest ARHD

Don't go back to stock. If u want a stock look go for "Android Revolution HD" Rom. It has 100% stock look. much better than stock. It will converted your sensation to sensation XE with beats audio. Very fast & smooth. better batery life. very good for gaming!!
Download ARHD rom & flash it via CWM recovery. ARHD installer will ask you to flash a custom kernel or stock. Select custom kernal. after that select sebastian FM kernel or Faux kernel. I flashed sebastian. It's good for me.(because better battery life with good performance & features)
Install this ROM & check your benchmark scores.. Quadrant benchmark shows around 3800-4500.(on my device)
google a stock benchmark score screenshot of sensation. On stock Qudrant benchmark shows only about 2300.
It proves it's very performance than stock. Also on gaming.
press "thanks" if I helped U!!

Hi,
You can still flash this ROM with your setup.
Make a nandroid.
You must wipe your phone in recovery.
Flash the stock kernel in the aroma setup
Wow guys thanks for all the help I just finished flashing and the speed difference is really noticeable I really appreciate all the help and I'm staying with this Rom for a long time.
Just one question before I run along and enjoy this rom, are the home button, option, back, and search buttons on the bottom suppose to always stay on?

Android Revolution HD 6.X.X were really great to me!, so 6.1.0 would be amazing.
This rom would be a great choice!.
Hello,
now I have ARHD 3.6.9 on my HTC Sensation, I would like to know if I wanna install ARHD 6.1.0 / firmware 3.24, I'll be able to install later ARHD 3.6.13 on new 3.24 firmware??
Thank you in advice !!!
If you do this you will probably get bootloops.
As far as I know, you would have to flash an older firmware, because the new one is only compatible with roms built for it (ARHD 6.1 for example).
Sent from my HTC Sensation using Tapatalk
3.12 is for the first lot of ICS roms, such as ARHD 6.0.X, IC etc.. 3.24 is for ARHD 6.1.X. For gingerbread roms and to get advanced fastboot commands you need 1.17 firmware.

so it is possible to make downgrade of firmware to be able to install/run ARHD 3.6.13 ??
Yes it is possible. Just flash the firmware you want.

No the 3.24 firmware only works with the latest release. If you try gingerbread with the 3.24 firmware you will boot loop.

Amazingly stable, excellent battery life and looks very sexy in native ICS style
Hello Friends
I am a bit cunfused If I am reading experiences and problems from people using new ICS for HTC Sense.
My question is simple, flash ICS or wait until all bugs will be solved?
I am new in android so I have not any experiences to help developers somehow
and I don´t want to reinstall telephone so offen.
Thank you in advance for your help in this decision.
Why dont u give it a try then u'll know urself?
With me the leak ICS is stable enough.
I've used ARHD, and IC, both work great, and I didn't have any issues... fast, stable and great battery life. I'm currently on VI 3.5 since the lock screen caller ID issues has been fixed, and it's a great AOSP rom.
+1 on Virtuous Inquisition.
Official HTC ICS is coming out in March I believe. What isn't known is what HBOOT version it'll have. If might become hard/impossible to S-OFF if applying official ICS.
If you haven't already done so, s-off via revolutionary.io now, then it's done.

Flash ICS its good.
I personally like the look of stock ICS so i went with Virtuous Inquisition because nothing was really broken and is pretty stable. However, before I used Android Revolution HD 6.x.x for a while. It is also very stable. It all comes down to if you want stock or with HTC Sense. Also to mention, I never went back to Gingerbread. It's not optimized for dual core.
ICS is the only way to go Bro! It rocks and is progressive!
Can I S-Off now and still get ICS OTA in March?
Sorry for the n00b question but I was wondering if I can and should S-Off now or will that mess me up to get the ICS OTA in March?
I was actually using ARHD for GB but went back to stock since it was announced that ICS would come to the Sensation in March. I figured I could wait until my phone was "officially" updated before re-rooting. I didn't want to mess up the OTA update.
Is my thinking flawed? Will S-Off and rooting mess up the OTA or will it be okay?
ARHD was okay but some things didn't work correctly (Plants vs. Zombies kept restarting, another app got stuck, etc.). Does anyone know why? Is it the overclocking?
i know there is a few of these threads but im only 15 and this would be my first time flashing. i just cant decide what rom i have seen alot of suggestions for coredroid or hypernonsense. but i dont know what i should flash i want good battery better than original stock rom for htc sensation 4g. plus stable and goog performance. but i just dont kno hope someone can help me decide.

I run OrDroid and freakin love it. Sense UI is far superior to stock, as long as you don't use the Sense launcher (use something like Apex or LauncherPro or whatever you want).
The other parts of Sense UI (camera, contacts, browser, etc) are FAR superior.
OrDroid w/ Sense 4 runs smooth as silk on the Sensation.

Same here im only 16 lol ull get it just read my fave is CM9 though its getting better every week
Shouldn't even be mentioned, I started flashing roms on my T-Mobile HTC Shadow which ran Windows Mobile 6 at 17. Loved it.
ARHD is great for a first-time modder for two reasons:
1. The ROM is solid, stable, and further customizable.
2. The documentation is clear.
I visited the site, http://www.htcsensationroms.com, and read about the different ROMs and their procedures. Android Revolution HD (ARHD) is the one I recommend. Follow the conditional logic in the documentation and it will navigate you to different posts in order for you to obtain the tools necessary to prepare your phone and satisfy all of the requirements before you actually flash (firmware), wipe (phone), and flash (ROM).
Before you actually do anything to your phone, I recommend that you take time first to read thru the various posts you will pop as you learn how to satisfy one prerequisite after another. Familiarize yourself with the process and the steps you will have to take. Build a mental checklist (or use pencil and paper) of the things you will need to do before the step when you actually boot up your phone into bootloader have it automatically install the contents of PG58IMG.zip.
It all starts here...and there lies within.

I have CM9 but I wanna to try viper 1.6.0, will I going to have any problem for that?
of course i will do wipe data, cache and dalvik...
anything else???
edit: i just see the link thanks... i'm going to flash now ...
All you need to do is make sure you have an unlocked bootloader, s-off, it's, 4ext recovery. Once you have all that just drop the rom on ur sd, go into recovery and install the rom from zip. If u need instructions on how to s-off, unlock ur bootloader or anything else just ask.
