put the rom zip in the root of the sdcard and flash it from recovery
if you are S-ON i suggest you to install 4ext recovery(if you don't have it yet) and enable smartflash berfore flashing
also it works only with 3.32fw and 3.33fw version
but before everything do a nandroid backup first

I got 4ext N S-off, i mean viper is use JB and works better, for kernel and ril etc every rom has recommended. I search here and i think this are :
Device: HTC Sensation Z710e
Bootloader: HBoot 1.27.1100 - Revolutionary S-OFF - Root - Super CID
ROM: ViperS 1.6.0 | Android 4.0.4 ICS | Sense 4.1
Kernel: Bricked-3.0-v1.36-ics
Firmware: 3.33.401.6
Radio: 11.76A.3504.00P_11.24A.3504.31_M
Ril: HTC-RIL_4.0.0037HMQ
Recovery: 4ext Recovery Touch 1.0.0.5 RC8
not the best but most of these i got just not sure for Radio and ril. That way i looking for guide .

hello,
I have CM9 but I wanna to try viper 1.6.0, will I going to have any problem for that?
of course i will do wipe data, cache and dalvik...
anything else???
edit: i just see the link thanks... i'm going to flash now ...

All you need to do is make sure you have an unlocked bootloader, s-off, it's, 4ext recovery. Once you have all that just drop the rom on ur sd, go into recovery and install the rom from zip. If u need instructions on how to s-off, unlock ur bootloader or anything else just ask.

get the matching rom from this thread
here
the matching rom would be
RUU_Pyramid_HTC_<country/carrier>_<firmware version>_Radio_<radio>_release_<xxxx>_signed
EDIT:
oops sorry you want to know which firmware supports gingerbread right?
brief description of each firmware:
3.32 Unlocked is the latest/stable release ICS 4.0.3 FW for Sensation (sense 3.6 Version) that has the Unlocked bootloader (posted by Mike1986)
3.30 Unlocked is ICS 4.0.3 FW for Sensation (sense 3.6 Version) that has the Unlocked bootloader (posted by Mike1986)
3.24 Unlocked is ICS 4.0.3 FW for Sensation (sense 3.6 Version) that has the Unlocked bootloader (posted by Mike1986)
3.12 is ICS 4.0.3 FW before that (Sense 3.5 Version)
1.17 This is the original Revolutionary 1.17.1111 Firmware with a completed Gingerbread Firmware v 1.45 package (Radio 10.14.9035.01_M)
Also the firmware thread
fclick here for firmwares
Hm i tried it but when i was on gingerbread and wanted to update with a RUU to a clean stock rom, EVERY RUU i tried was "Wrong" and wasnt working...
So i keept the stock ics rom, without superuser and s-off, but 4ext is still there....
so i think i have to keep it, it should "damage" my warranty , or am i wrong ?

Hi,
You need to run a RUU
Look HERE
Choose a Gingerbread RUU.
This will return your phone completely to stock.
You can then, re-install a custom recovery and flash a GB ROM
May I suggest ARHD
Look HERE

Don't go back to stock. If u want a stock look go for "Android Revolution HD" Rom. It has 100% stock look. much better than stock. It will converted your sensation to sensation XE with beats audio. Very fast & smooth. better batery life. very good for gaming!!
Download ARHD rom & flash it via CWM recovery. ARHD installer will ask you to flash a custom kernel or stock. Select custom kernal. after that select sebastian FM kernel or Faux kernel. I flashed sebastian. It's good for me.(because better battery life with good performance & features)
Install this ROM & check your benchmark scores.. Quadrant benchmark shows around 3800-4500.(on my device)
google a stock benchmark score screenshot of sensation. On stock Qudrant benchmark shows only about 2300.
It proves it's very performance than stock. Also on gaming.
press "thanks" if I helped U!!

Hi,
You can still flash this ROM with your setup.
Make a nandroid.
You must wipe your phone in recovery.
Flash the stock kernel in the aroma setup
Wow guys thanks for all the help I just finished flashing and the speed difference is really noticeable I really appreciate all the help and I'm staying with this Rom for a long time.
Just one question before I run along and enjoy this rom, are the home button, option, back, and search buttons on the bottom suppose to always stay on?

root and rom the phone XE

How can I unlock my sensation XE - unlock bootloader and root and install recovery and rom? Which recovery and rom you recommend ?

Here is a detailed a guide

there are other roms too which are pretty good...for sense 4+ try Revelation or ViperS JB
Hope that helps

ICS ROMs should not have any bugs (or very little ones, if any). AOSP JellyBean ROMs should also be stable (I'm using albinomans CM10.1 for a month now without any issues (except MMS , which has a fix in here).
As for Sense 4+ (Android 4.1), it should be almost stable, but AFAIK there are still some issues with the touchscreen and it has not yet been perfected. I'm giving it some more time to mature myself, but many people use it as a daily driver already. There are two sense 4+ ROMs available: ViperS (which has many more tweaks for advances users), and Revelation (which is very close to stock).
Both use the same kernel and will be perfected at the same time, as all of the issues currently plagueing those ROMs are kernel related.

Yes. You can flash any ROM based on same firmware without being S-Off. You can flash ViperS JB Rom with the same method. Just enable smartflash in the 4EXT recovery and if get stuck in bootloop. Flash boot.img via bootloader. Happy flashing

Just download the ROM zip and put in your SD card. Boot to recovery and enable smartflash. Wipe data and all partitions except Sd card and flash the zip from recovery. If you get stuck in bootloop then just extract the boot.img from the ROM zip and flash via fastboot. And before doing everything just make a nandroid backup.

viperS rom and every rom has kernel including in it
so when you flash the rom the kernel will be changed too
by the way specifically in viperS 3.1.2 rom only one kernel is compatible and it is the one including in the rom
no other kernel works with this rom
