Miro Home Screen bug - Sony Xperia Miro, Tipo (Dual), J, E

im having a little bug since yesterday.
after every reboot the shortcuts for 3rd party apps like whatsapp, es file explorer etc . dissappear from my home screen. however walkman, play store won't.
i place the missing ones again but they dissappear again on next reboot.
how to solve this?
EDIT: i searched a bit, maybe its been caused due to moving them to internal storage. but they don't appear even after 10 minutes.
it did not happen ever before even when the apps were on the internal storage.

Quirky Market / Application List

Over the past several weeks, any updates from the market usually become unresponsive. They will perpetually show downloading. At the same time, if I try to look at my application list, they just show "computing" and never complete so I can do something simple as clear the cache.
When I reboot, it sometimes takes 5-15 minutes for the apps on my SD card to show up. Once they do, the market works for a while and once it goes unresponsive, I have to reboot if I want to do any app updates. The rest of the phone seems to work fine however.
I do use a class 4 microSD card as my expansion and about 80% of my apps are there.
I have hard reset and erased my micsoSD card one already.
Any suggestions?
Brian
This problem seems to have gone away...still takes a while to scan all of my apps then going into Manage Applications though.
when you went to my apps in the market, did your apps show up?
for the last 4 days, i only show 3 apps in my market, none of my other 30 or so apps including purchases show up.

[Q] Process.media force close issue

Ever since the ICS Update on my XOOM, upon turning the XOOM on I would received the process.media FC message. Typically twice. I read several posts on the forums where it said to go into Settings-->Apps-->All and clear the cache for the media app.
I did that. I rebooted, and now when I go into the music and video apps, none of my music or movies are there. When I use OI File Manager and view the SD Card, I can see the music and movies. I can even play them.
For space reasons I want to keep them on the SD Card, how do I make them show in the apps?
Apparently I just had to be patient. Came back 90 min later and everything was visible again.
go settings - appps - media storage - clear cache - reboot

I have the same problem. The only thing to 'fix' it is to move apps with a custom icon/custom name back to the phone memory
How i fixed this, i reseted my phone

All my apps keep getting randomly deleted without my permission!

I went to go play some games on my phone today. One of the games, when I launched it, gave an error that said "App isn't installed". I noticed that the game's home screen icon had been replaced by a grayscale version of itself, possibly something that Nova Launcher was doing. Then I noticed half my other games had the same problem - all greyscale icons, all "not installed". I have also noticed every couple of weeks or so that a "hole" will appear in my home screen icons - there used to be an icon there, but there isn't anymore, and I install so many apps that I can't remember what it was. I also notice that my "Free space" widget will randomly jump up by a GB or two. "Huh, I thought I only had 3GB remaining, now I have 4GB? What the heck?"
Remnants of the apps still remain in the obb/data folders, but the apps themselves are disappearing, and I don't know why. I do not, and have never, installed any apps on an external SD card, I wouldn't even know how. What on earth could cause my system to actually take an installed app, delete almost all its data, without ever asking me or telling me? What kind of system logger could I install to figure out why this is happening?
Example: Ski Safari AT, second row 5 across, has been deleted and had its icon turn grey. When I tap it, it says "App isn't available":

this is really interesting..
let us know if ever you can see what the cause is if ever no one can determine here
Same thing happens to me, Nvidia Shield.
The cause is Android is hopeless.
What???? Really? ??
I can't believe this. Shocking
May be there is a virus or someone is making you fool by messing your mobile up.
Please make a factory reset but before that try to figure out what is going on?
Do you know how to make log file?
Google it.
Upload that log file here and devs will help you.

App Icons Disappear from Home Screen after Reboot

Every time I reboot, some of my app icons disappear from my home screen and I have a to manually put them back to where they belong. I've noticed that only the apps that are stored on my SD card (adoptable storage) are effected. I am currently running CM 13 Nightlies with the Squid Kernel (http://forum.xda-developers.com/201...ment/kernel-squid-kernel-moto-g-2015-t3215726) but it has been occurring when on the default kernel as well. I don't want to just move all my apps to internal storage because I have a lot of them with 16 GB of internal. Thanks for any help!
I have the same problem.
Even worse - some icons disappear from the list of apps too. The one I noticed is Pixlr-o-matic - when I tap the middle button (the list of all apps), usually the icons from SD card which after reboot disappear from the screen could be found here, but Pixlr-o-matic disappears even there. However Google Play Store says the app is installed and gives me the "open" button which really opens the app, so the app is still on the phone.
So is there such a thing like forcing the launcher to re-scan all apps and validate the icons again?
Thanks
Moto G 3rd, with default Marshmallow rom from Motorola/Virgin Mobile/whatever it is (I mean I didnt modified the phone in any way pretty much)
I had a similar experience when I tried switching between the Google Launcher and Nova Launcher. Nearly all my app icons disappeared. I have no clue why. To fix I restored a TWRP back up and stopped switching launchers.
