[IMP] [3Mar] Checlist to be performed before releasing a ROM - Micromax A110

Hello Guys,
I came with this because we have lot of custom ROMs and most of them lack of stability and with issues.
Thanks for the all developers to come up with new things in their ROMs. But for more sustainability we need the following.
I know this thread should be not in this section. But it should be here for better development and release of ROMs.
What is this all about?
This is a checklist of testing to be performed/identified to make a better and stable ROM releases.
CHECKLIST: Screenshots will be good
1. No WIFI issues
2. No force closes while opening apps.
3. Atleast minimum Gaming
4. Signal problems
5. SIM detection
6. OTG storage detection
7. No reboots during calls/playing games
8. Both the front/back camera should be working which gives some quality images.
9. Charging options even when phone is switched off like in stock ROM.
10. Indication LED lights should work.
11. USB OTG on the fly (without using apps)
12. USB detection.
13. Tethering and hotspot should work.
14. 720P Hd videos should be played with out hassle.
15. GPS test
16. FM
17. Headset (Play, pause and stop) should work for Music player and FM.
18. Bluetooth
Last but not least and most important is the Battery: If possible with screenies.
Suggest more guys, will be added to the list.

Reserved for future
OK, lets take the requirements as well. Will help the ROM devs
Requirements:
1) More user RAM availability.
2) Battery percentage on the battery.
3) build prop - Should support playing most games like gangster rio..like galaxy s2.
4) Should have good looks but doesn't compromises on performance.
5) Should have apps like 4.2: playstore (black),camera and gallery, samsung calculator(touchwiz mod from razer),black message etc
6) Increased flash brightness to max(MMX A110 led is very poor by default)
7) Notification bar with brightness slider and and is transparent like.(http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1890150)
8) A good lock screen with 4 options(unlock,camera,messages,call)
9) LOTS of tweaks for gaming....
More .... Will add it soon..

THESE ARE WHAT I WANT FROM A ROM DEVLOPER:
1)It takes less ram all unrequired apps removed which arent required.
2)show battery perc on the battery.
3)from build prop its any mobile which supports playing most games like gangster rio..like g)alaxy s2.
4)has good looks but doesnt compromises on performance.
5)HAS apps like 4.2: playstore (black),camera and gallery,samsung calculator(touchwiz mod from razer),black message etc
6)Increased flash brightness to max(MMX A110 led is very poor by default)
7)notification bar with brightness slider and and is transparent like.(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1890150)
8)A good lockscreen with 4 options(unlock,camera,messages,call)
9)LOTS of tweaks for gaming....

our forum is is full of useless rom.its not gud for new users.

Re: [IMP] Checlist to be performed before releasing a ROM
1) Ram Must 180+
2) Good Gaming Performance
3) Good Battery Life

Thanks for the list Gurpreet. But some of them looks like requirements.
The list should be like mandatory things for a ROM to be stable. Agree?

Many of People said to Dev that to do try that os can consume less RAM,
We understand you all But please understand We have only 512 RAM and ICS and JB , Which basically Consume more RAM and Second thing is that our Hardware is Dual core and its also take lil bit more RAM den single Core,
If we were have GB den i can sure it consume so less RAM den ICS and JB.
But we are trying our best but we can't stop system process to consume less RAM
But Yes Stability Is Most Imp. thing and am completely agree in that.
Thank you for your Support.

Why do we need more RAM?
To play High end games?? Ofcourse yes!! Anything else?
If for playing games, with 100MB of RAM or even less, I am playing all the games. Even I am not using any task killer, RAM optimizers, just the stock ROM.
As Jigar said, system process consumes RAM. Some apps like JB keyboard even taking 22 - 30MB. We can optimize in those areas.
And coming to the performance, every one is claiming their ROM is best at performance. It would be great if ROM devs can prove them by statistics or you can even describe how the ROM is made for performance with which tweaks and how they effect the performance considering the battery.

I agree with this point RAM space can be saved by removing unwanted system apps running in the background.

One more important requirement:
Charging options even when phone is switched off like in stock ROM. some roms do not charge when phone is switched off.
Indication LED lights working as in stock ROMs
USB OTG on the fly (without using apps)

YA thats what i would be looking forward to...and we have too many roms so to stand apart from all those roms i think these things should be considered.

Ya i mentioned it in my post and also provided the link for that mod.

oops..didnt notice...anyway i had seen that thread earlier.... the decompiling systemui.apk didnot work for me! ... the apk tool reported som error.!.
wonder if just opening the apk file via 7zip enough?..
..i hop our rom developers wud be able to do that and give us transparent status bar..

The only other way for us to expand our Ram is use the Custom Kernel and put s Swap Ram or Zram. I gained extra 40-60mb of ram.
If the users is not satisfied with the Rom, why don't they stick to Stock Rom?

MIUI ROM, My impressions.

So after running pretty much all the roms available for the XT720, I have to say the new MIUI rom beats them all. I came from dexters froyo 1.3 with bug patch. And for some odd reason it was extremely slow and laggy for me. Even with autokiller optimizer id start out with 60 MB free memory and slowly after some use itd come down to 19-20 mb. Anyways this is how I feel about the new MIUI ROM.
MIUI BETA 4:
This has got to be the fastest ROM ever. I had gotten used to using the laggy XT720 and hating it in the process but whoa am I amazed at how fast this one is. You can just fly through applications and menu's without lag. No lag when you open the keyboard, and the most annoying for me was how the keyboard would lag while using haptic feedback which I love. Dont be put off by the theme in the start everything from the boot screen, to the lock screen can be changed using the theme manager. Theres also a bunch of extra functionality. Like for eg flip to stop active ring, if you pick up the phone while its ringing the ringer volumes goes down. Contacts can be divided into groups, favourite messages etc.
The only draw back with this ROM were if you set up swap it seems to drain the battery really quick. like 10 % / 2.5 hours. I use milestone overclock at 56 vsel 1 Ghz and its pretty stable. I love this ROM and whats been put into it. Waiting for the camera app, HDMI out and other little tweaks here and there to be complete. Thanks Khal!
well I run bluesteel Tom. I have modified it some startup 65+memory avg running memory is between 75 to 90 I only know overclock to 800.
Very fast system no lag at all.

I would like to see your list of removed system apps dude..... Bluesteel was like all the other dxter based froyo for me.. works great with memory management for a few days, then slowly memory reduces down to the 19 to 21mb range & performance goes in the crapper.
Can someone explain in detail how I can install Minimod? I know how to install OR but not Minimod.
This info on minimod can be found in xt720 development (minimod)

F*ck MIUI! I really hate this ROM. Every time I see my phone with MIUI it makes me wanna trow it. It looks UGLY by every mean!
Despide MIUI is stable and fast, I think that if you clean BlueSteal v4 it's better. I have better quadrant benchmark resoults too. 1497 with MIUI and 1601 (personal record) with BlueSteal. I start with around 70 free ram on BS and after all widget start (a few, not much) and I use it a little bit it goes down to 45-50, but it's enough. ROM is very stable and responsive. With fj kernal I stay on 60-65 free all the time.

I am interested to see this too. 3rdstring has a list going, but always nice to see another pov. I have same doggish problems too. To the point I am considering 2.1 for awile. Pulling low 1200's in quadrant, but don't take too much stock in that if everything is lagging.

Lol, to each his own I guess. Im pretty sure you are put off by the theme. Blue steels theme was pretty ****ty too. And I dont like updating themes through open recovery its just a pain in the ass. I always just adb push the ubuntu font onto my rom and then change the themes. With MIUI its much easier. Have you ever used a phone with stock MIUI it is on of the most responsive devices ever. I have always had problems with dexters based ROM's. If you have any tricks up your sleeve please share.

If memory got dumped just:
Running services --> Stop!
If doesn't help, Manage Applications --> Force stop!
I don't use Advance task killer, it just dones't work...
Also keep it low on widgets!
Programs running all the time : WidgetLocker, BobD3 Clock, SystemInfo Widget, SwitchPro Widget, SetCPU, Fancy Widget, BattStatt, Launcher Pro Plus twitter and ALYac antivirus real-time scan...
The way I install my ROMs is:
1. Always Flash to stock 2.1 true RSD --> Factory reset!
2. Install Dexter Froyo -> wipe dalvik-cache/Wipe Data/ Facrory reset/ wipe Cache
3. Delete SD card craps from Dexter Froyo --> Factory reset (just in any case)
4. Install Khal's BlueStealEpicv4 -->wipe dalvik-cache/Wipe Data/ Facrory reset/ wipe cache
5. Factory reset (just in any case)
6. Delete - Talk, LatinIMEtutorial, Facebook,Tweetdeck,... etc.
P.S. I always reformat and repartition my SD card Fat32/ext3/swap(for any case )
It my seem too much, but it works for me.

You may wanna try this one http://www.multiupload.com/T05RW5U5HK ... real MIUI. The one you flashed is not actually a MIUI.
Also remember to flash Dexter 1.3 first and wipe dalvik-cache / cache partition / factory reset after restoring.
Hi, just install differtent launcher and change the menue style. After that You have original android feeling with miui advantages.
I use zeam launcher which makes the system very smooth.

Hi eSu.Matix,
i'm currently running the steelepicblue as well, it's way nicer than MIUI..I cleaned almost all the system apps and my available RAM is now always between 50 and 70 MB, however, i've never been able to reach that Quadrant score...
What tweaks did you apply? Thank you very much in advance!
Hi,
I love the Miui Rom for :
1. Lot of setting option posibility in Setting page.
2. Like the Toggle bar IN STATUS BAR (FULL SIZE <->) you can scroll left and right. (must have), Its easy to read and have 90% toggle icon we need.
3. Like how easy is to modify or change and customizing theme.
what i dont like is:
The rom is not fully compatible with our XT720
This rom contain some bug for XT720.
Camera have some bug and low resolution env 5meg, HDMI not working at all, VPN dosen't work on my XT720 ON VIDEOTRON NETWORK.
But even that, i have difficulty to leave away. i realy love and need the toggle bar INSIDE the notification bar.
It's is possible to have TOGGLE BAR IN STATUS BAR in other rom
like MIUI, full size <-> , scrolling, good look, easy to toggle etc.
but i realy dont like the LOOK OF toggleBar that use some rom like V4 rom GalaxyXT version

[Q] Heavy memory consumtion

I have a problem.I use stock GB 2.3.6 by samsung,CF root,CWM.
I use lancher 7 and strangely even if i hit "CLEAR RAM" button my mem consumption will be 350 mb on an avg.
Some times if i run high mem consumption games the games just shutters and my phone will restart and Battery will go <20%.
PLZ tell me a solution for reducing mem usage
I if i go ADVANCED TASK MANAGER there will be long list apps opened.

first of all android's memory management is different. There are mainly 2 reasons when u observe that ur memory is heavily consumed.
1. You are doing heavy multitasking.
2. Android itself minimise apps when it feels that its un-necessarily using resources.
I will suggest u to use some light weight launchers like adw launcher. Also use tweaks, ram script, uc kernel. I hope it will help u.
plz

They keep the RAM free. Or, Try a custom ROM with MANY in-built tweaks
or u can use OS MONITOR app to check for running applications n kill them manually

[Q] Reasons to use ICS or JB instead of GB in my i9003?

Hi,
I wanted to know if there are reasons of why we should try IceCreamSandwich or JellyBean roms for daily usage that still have bugs, other than keep with Gingerbread, and in my case, Frankenstein´s rom.
What I really want to know are if ICS and JB have some benefits, or we just want to use them because they are new.
I only have my SL phone, and that´s the reason I don´t want to start flashing lots of roms again... just want one that works well and in which battery lasts reasonable time.
My normal daily use is:
· 1 hour speak
· mostly 2g or wifi connection. Almost no navigation.
· lot of whatsapp
· 30 min average of bluetooth
· sometimes some gps
With this use, my battery lasts aproximately 2 days.
I don´t play games, I don´t watch movies... I just use it as a regular mobile + whatsapp, gps, adidas micoach, jefit, and small apps.
I think it would be good to receive some advice of those who tried different roms.
Thanks for your time, and hope this thread is useful to solve other questions also.
The reason is that people get bored of same old UI.
So we try ICS and JB.
They do support UI flexibility.
Also performance of phone increases in games[That's not for you]
And They also support more number of apps than GB.
But be sure that you won't get same battery backup though.

some apps dont work on GB (google chrome, google now, etc..), thats why i switched to JB...
battery wise, mine last a day (using an internet simcard and switched to 2g), used only for updates, whatsapp and viber...
if you were to switch to a custom rom, i would suggest you use jellybam...
But jelly bean and ICS have lower autonomie than GB
About 1 or 2 day

Hi there.
I m currently using Frankenstein Mod (v 3.8) and i want to go for some JB or ICS mod which should be at least equal to Frankenstein in terms of Performance. Please .. and i want a fully functional Keyboard, To play 'Agent Dash', possibly error free GPS and full whatsapp.
Any good suggestion will be appreciated. And i have REMICS-JB in my mind!! what say

That's the risk to use JB or ICS, but if you use Jelly Bam the recommend version + Revolution Kernel = your phone live about 1,5 day or 2 day (I'm on Jelly Bam)
Of course, your phone still need some setting in the performance menu, suggested governor: SmartassV.2 with min speed 300 and max speed 1000 or 1200. That should give you no lag but battery saving phone. If you think your phone taking too much power, use CPU Spy, you can found it on Play Store

According to this, there's no reason to go for ICS or JB (Plus, these are NOT totally stable/reliable/functional).
Stick to good GB kernel/roms.

Well..
I tried to install CM10 Alpha 4 with no success. I don´t know if it is some trouble with my modem (I´m from Argentina), or what, but I tried 4 times to install it and couldn´t make it work fine.
Now I´m on CM9 Alpha 14, with Alpha´s 11 Kernel.
I like it, but I find it a little bit laggy.
Is this just a characteristic from ICS in our phone?
Any other Kernel to recommend?
Now that I´ve tried ICS and JB, I can say that a big difference I find is the way some shortcuts work.
For example, when you pull down the notifications menu, you can access the setting from there, and in JB, you can go to alarms or calendar.
Also I like the new recent apps.
What has to do with the design, I find ICS and JB really pretty. Spaces between things in menus, and other stuff look very well.

Defntly for daily usage i strongly recommend GB over ics/jb.. The main issue with later 2 os is battery. I m nt getting even half day with moderate usage..(at present i m using REMICS 1.7) bt still m using it bcs it is more user friendly, support more apps finally, atleast to my frnds i can say "i m running more advanced os than u"
Some user have good battery life with jelly bean (2 days) !!!

For me, I use Jb instead of Gb because:
-Video call with Gtalk. No Gtalk vid call on Gb.
-Beautiful UI. The spaces, the consistency of usage of colours, the fresh new look of android.
-Built in Data Monitor. I can track my data usage and warning if almost reach limit.
-Expandable volume control(we can set media volume, ring volume and alarm volume just by pressing the button)
-Great keyboard.
-more apps supported.(apex launcher, some games, Chrome, stuff)
-settings button accessible in notification
-Swipeable notification (I like this because i can keep my text message to be read later while deleting other notification)
-Quick reply text messages using button on notification area without opening the messaging app.
-Google Now cards. It shows stuff without having to search for it.
-Very organized system settings.
-Different Widget displayed.(eg. Google+ widget in GB is a text bar to post new statuses. In JB, it shows people from our circle's posts.)
-Fast stock browser. (Updated html support)
-Can save web page for offline reading.
-can place shortcuts on lockscreen.
-apps on the market had given guidelines on the app layout.(not making apps that looks like iPhones and Windows phone apps)
-No pre-installed bloatwares.
-Can show to s2 users that I already have JB while they still ICS
Benefits of Gb over Jb(at this time):
-Tethering (tethering in cm10 is not yet possible)
-Have FM Radio in stock rom. Good to hear free music when bored.
-Have UMTS Video Call in stock rom. Can Video call using carrier charges(its the same price as voice call in my country. Very good to have)
-Can create folders INSIDE the app drawer.(value packs only)
-Good battery usage.
I would prefer JB more because I could use my phone more effectively. About the lag, I used the performance tweak and the Project Butter enchanter mods by Top Droid and the lag is gone!

amifiq which rom are you using & how good is the battery backup?
Im using cm10a3. Usually it last like a day if i use it like sms, whatsapp, calls. But if you want good battry life, use gb. Cm10 isnt stable yet so have not as good battery as stock.

As rightly pointed out by amifiq in earlier post
My views will be similar to what he said.
But to be frank Battery lasts only for a day at the most.
leaving it I would rather prefer the JB instead of GB.
Above all it is the firmware created by our devs.
That is more important to go for JB.
My SL is currently at -->
Jelly Bam v.4.0
SIRI KERNEL rc2
Performance Tweaks - Version 1.4.1
issues found as below ,
1.whatsapp
-heavy lag at times while switching from other apps (5sec delay)
-hang / or black screen when using camera , have to remove battery and reboot
- force close
2. MX video player
- phone reboot after watching 25 mins
3. copying files in debugging mode connected to pc
- become slower in day 2 and 3
attached is the catlog when i experience reboot while on MX player
sorry i have to put it here because my post is still less than 10

Suvi Rom V13-Rhea review

Hello Mr.Suhas,
Thanks for ur awesome rom. I have been with ur rom from V1 to V13 and want to express my feelings not just by hitting thanks button
Review:
We all know Suvi Rom.We all have Experienced it once. But have we got its best taste?
After a day of use I bring to u the detailed Suvi Rom V13 Rhea in 2 partsetailed Decription and Quick Format(Pros,Cons,Advantages over other roms,Disadvantages over other roms,Suggestions for next version)
Part 1
Looks and Quality:
Boot Logo:
Its the default white canvas sketched image. The jellybean default. Its common in every rom which features JB
Bootanimation:
As the rom is based on aroma installer, it features 2 boot animations.
1st the Suvi default S4 bootanimation
2nd is the 4.3 google boot animation
I advise everyone for the time being yo stick to S4 bootanimation becoz the 4.3 animation is scaled up and looks pretty bad
Lockscreen:
As u power ur device, some of u who have used Samsung phones like Note2 and S3 in past will see the similar interface.
The 1st thing that comes to our mind is the Ripple Lock Screen. Its the S3 or Note 2 ripple lock screen. It has the shortcuts at the below like phone, camera, etc to serve a quick purpose of opening those apps from lockscreen itself
Phone Interface:
As we go inside, we see the multi DPI Samsung S4 launcher. Its fast, its smooth and looks good on device at the startup.
Then we see the S4 Accuweather widget. Now u all can guess that the rom has the Samsung user interface by default
Status Bar:
As the rom features Aroma Installer, u have 3 options of Status Bar and its toggles.
The 1st option is 4.2 status bar with green note2 like toggles and a brightness slider
The 2nd option is Just the green toggles with clear memory
The 3rd option is Lidroid Toggles with Green Themes(I stick with this though)
For the time being choose 1st or 2nd option as lidroid toggles has some missing features such as changing the default sim in dialer or message app which leaves me disappointed.
The other problem is if u switch on the mobile data, by default the 1st sim is used and u wont get option like before. The temporary solution for this is to go to sim management and choose the default sim for mobile data
The battery has been changed to Samsung Green like but i dislike it, the previous blue one was really really cool
Task Manager:
The task manager is samsung like but is really buggy.
It doesnt show all the active apps and cannot clear or stop them.
But as i see it, not many of us use task manager to clear apps, so its not a real use app but like a cool Samsung based task manager
Recent Apps:
It is by default the JB like but if u have chosen the 4.2 status bar option then it will be HTC like
Settings:
It looks cool and the icons has been changed as well
If u chose the Lidroid Toggles option in status bar it will have Suvi Heart Arrangement option in the 1st. There are other features too but explore that urself.
The only problem here is that the data usage graph is holo or so as to say it doesnt show the graph
Dialer:
It is the themed Samsung Dialer Interface.
It looks grt and is better than the stock one for JB
U also get the swipe to receive calls like S4 and Note2 which is better than the stock one too
CONCLUSION-1: The rom has really been famous for its looks and quality. It feels really calm when using the device.
Everyone using the V13 will feel as if the phone has been reconstructed by Samsung
Performance:
I must tell everyone that this is tested under using Seeder 2.0 in aggressive profile
Boot Speed:
The 1st time the device boots is more becoz the rom is deodexed but after that the boot times are significantly less ie 10-15 secs
Ram Management:
I have installed nearly 150 apps and 8-9 widgets of contact, flipborad, google chrome bookmarks, weather widgets, etc and the device still holds its own by giving me 120-140 ram when i kill apps using Gemini Task Killer
Smoothness:
The device is very smooth and by that i mean really really smooth.
The S4 Touchwiz Launcher is really a ram eater and laggy sometimes so i have removed it and made Nova Prime as deafult launcher
Games:
High end games have no lags at all.
The games i have tested are:
Asphalt 7:Heat
Temple Run
Temple Run 2
Temple Run:Brave
Temple Runz
GTA Vice City
NFS Most Wanted
Frontline Commando
Frontline Commando-DAY
The Amazing Spider Man
I am a heavy gamer after all and still like the phone.
No heating issue is present anymore
Navigation System:
The GPS still doesnt fix for me.It may be just my problem but still it doesnt get fix
Sound & Media:
The sound is really high by default.
The stock music player is not that grt and u can remove it and install Walkmann
The Video Player is not that grt and u can install MX Player from market freely
The only problem in this category remains as the default ringtones and notifications are very small.
As a rom of 258 MB, this must not be the case
Internet:
The internet is really fast in 2G as well as 3G.
Unlike others i had no problem in speeds and other disconnecting problems.
But the problem here is that the Tethering is not working but as we see it it will be corrected in next update
USB OTG:
Unlike the previous versions of Suvi Rom, the V13 brings USB OTG mount by default and does not require external apps
I have used a fat32 formatted USB and it really works
Battery Backup:
I will update this day after tomorrow becoz 38% of battery still in my phone after 4-5hrs of gaming
CONCLUSION-2:
By performance it is the best suited rom till date i have used. Many may not agree with me but i challenge them to use this V13 of this rom for a day, if they r still not satisfied then as their reward i will remove this thread. So shall we test?
Part 2
Pros:
Grt Lockscreen(Samsung Like)
Good S4 Animation
Aroma Installer
Ad-Free Option
Grt Status Bar and toggles(Samsung Like)
Grt Samsung JB dialer with swipe to answer or reject
Grt UI
Very Smooth
Modded Settings
High Sound
Good Camera option in aroma
DPI Option in aroma
Good UI
Battery Backup is good(Still this will be updated day after tomorrow with accurate readings)
Cons:
No OTA update included
Not many options in Aroma Installer(Just 4 or 5)
Buggy Wifi Tethering
Faulty Data Usage Menu
Suggestions for Nxt Version:
i)Include OTA
ii)Add new features like simplistic framework, og battery mod, gravity box, 3 mint frameworks or xthemes,4.2 binaries)
iii)Beats audio driver and Walkmann are better than stock music player
iv)Launcher really lags sometimes and it would be better if u could provide us with option like Nova in aroma itself.
That way people like me who dont love tw can save some ram.
As u know tw is really heavy on ram though and after restarting still takes more ram.
Xperia Launcher can be provided as other option too
v)Bootanimation is grt but the samsung galaxy S4 words below the animating S picture doesnt looks good.Micromax Canvas2 in its place would be cool and genuine.
The other thing is the dashes above the IV shines periodically making it look like a glitch.
vi)Google 4.3 bootanimation is scaled up and doesnt look good. Pls provide the stock 4.3 bootanimation ending with ur S as Suvi Rom Signature
vii)The current battery icon is really bad. Pls change it and restore the Quasar icon
viii)Pls give us a lite version of ur rom if u dont want to include mods like above said in 2nd point of suggestions and include Nova Launcher
ix)The media files have become old. Pls provide new ones from other devices becoz we can afford some more MB for downloading for new media files
x)Sony Mobile Bravia Engine3 and ClearAudio+ would have been good choices
FINAL CONCLUSION:
The rom is very stable and can be said to be a permanent rom for MMX A110, and for the tethering problem, it will be corrected in the next update, wont u Mr.Suhas?
Its Samsung Styled and is constantly improved(What more do u even want anyway???)
The rom has come a long way since V1 and is constantly updated in every month to remove the bugs. The Rom Maker Mr.Suhas has really made the rom from scratch and really earns my respect(urs too) for creating a wonderful rom. Hope U Like It in ur device(Which u will....)
and the most important question:
WHO AM I?
I am just a boy with ideas like u who is reading this.
The only diffrence is i am a really lot and lot and lot and lot of experience in roms.
How u ask?
My experience in flashing:
MMX- A50(my 1st),A52,A54,A56,A75,A87,A90s,A100,A110(my 2nd),A110q,A116.(thats just in mmx)
Karbonn - A1+,A21,S5(not much in this group)
Sony-any Xperia line smartphone u can find in the market(done them all, well nearly all but u understand the mangnitude right?)
Samsung-Nearly every smartphone in its galaxy line.
HTC-None(really not even 1)
and how to believe me?
I am just a student in 12th CBSE and nearly 10000 students study in my school and most of them possess samsung and sony phones. So after i modded my a50 with transparent notification bar and swipe to remove notification. Everyone started wondering how then i explained about roooting and flashing and i nearly rooted everyones handset and flashed them. So yeah now u believe why i wrote a lot and lot and lot of experience but i am new to xda
Dont Forget to hit thanks not to me but to Mr.Suhas in his Suvi Rom page.
Head over now and start downloading and explore the android dev in u alongside MMX A110 with Suvi Rom V13-Rhea in it
Why u ask and say u r fine with ur current rom?
The reason is rom is the best MMX A110 can get for the date and will be updated in the future to remove bugs(if there are any) and brings plethoria of features in it and will bring even more in the future.
For those who dont feel good after tasting the V13 in their MMX A110, i will remove the thread for them as a reward
Grt Rom Ofcourse
The cons are for mainly advanced people who like me want more from their device.
So for general people who dont want much this is a grt rom
Everyone who use Suvi Rom and want to express their feelings for
Mr.Suhas pls reply below with what u like and what u dont(mostly problems) and suggestions for making the rom better.
I want to make this the best rom that can be utilised by everyone daily and happily and to make it to the top, what people want must be the top factor(this is how it is in Omega Rom,for note2,s2,s3,s4)
So keep those comments coming.......
Hmm..thats really cool..I liked the review much. Appreciate your efforts.
I know there are some glitches and bugs.
In V13, I have tried to solve some like Aroma and USB Otg fix, task manager....
Lets continue our efforts in making the ROM more awesome and complete.
Alright

Sorry for the inconvinience
Sorry to tell u all this but i really dont believe in quadrant or antutu scores. They can be made very high with a little tweak, so the scores doesnt really show the real time, real use performance and we also forget:
'Every device is diffrent from other even if by a little fraction'.
After so much of flashing, i have atleast learnt that the feel of the device is the actual performance. Why? Ur antutu or quadrant may be high but if ur device lags at some point, is that score useless?
The tests r only to provide the limitation of a device so that we can compare it to another device and can choose the better one. But r we all at xda not trying hard to surpass the limitation?dont u agree?
For the time being I recommend Suvi V13 as the permanent rom for A110,
it just has tethering problem which can be corrected with a patch too or will be corrected in nxt version.
So hw many of u agree with me, regarding the score statement that is?
And my rom is not fully covered-battery backup is left for more accuracy

Hi bsuhas,
Please fix the TETHERING issues foremost as this is the basic bug i am facing since V12. Other than this your rom is awesome in looks and feel. I had tried the alternate solution clockword tether but that too didn't seem functioning good, sometimes connects and many times wont. Hope to see some patch fix and i wish to see no Known issues section (meaning that all are fixed) in your next version. All the best :fingers-crossed:
I was using lewa rom. It sucks. It has very low ram left. I was not even able to play temple run. The looks and presentation of the lewa rom was awesome. But the ram was hell of a problem. It took 2 days for me to totally get rid of the different recovery in it..

I have given my father the A110(for daily usage and battery tests), so tethering is not that needed but when needed, it will not be funtional.
And i also want the dual sim, dual ringtone setting but that was in ICS i think or lower suvi rom had it but still it is now the default rom in my A110. Anyway, not moving from this rom but will test other roms soon

Tried trial and error ways and found tethering work fine with clockwordmod tether app.
Connecting steps:
1. Open tether app on PC and click start.
2. Open tether app on phone and click to run tether.
3. Now connect the phone to PC. Connection establishes perfectly.
In case of intermediate disconnection, exit tether app on PC and phone and reiterate steps.
Note : After performing Step 1 quickly complete Step 2 and 3 within 1-3seconds. Else the connection won't establish as noticed by me.

Hey OP, everything's just great! But still the battery issue isn't fixed yet, at Night it dropped from 55% to 32% without any usage or Wi-Fi on. I hope you'll soon come up with an update as you mentioned. Cheers, rest everything's smooth and great, no delay with the hardware buttons too!
Regards, MR.
Still there are some problems
It is been great work devs
I have tried using this ROM lookwise it is an awesome one working good but only there are some issues that are came across are :
I am using phils recovery.
I have install just ROM without updates it worked fine.Asap I have install only update no bettery workaround it started to show FC in all cases like UI, OOES at boot time etc.
Sound it bit low but can be adjusted from Engineering mode
Battery consumption is high even after applying Battery workaround
After sometime playstore giving error authentication failed even if I am logged in using usual account of Gmail
Other thing works fine
People who are using and installed successfully can suggest which recovery you are using
Overall performance like miui ROM...

First look is awesome. Performance is gr8. Sound is a bit low. Camera is showing 8mega pixels only, but still fine for this monster. Battery is draining pretty fast. Charged 100% and device was locked. Havent used for 4 hrs 30min. and battery was down to 67%.
One thing that i have observed is :
In audio profiles there are two audio enhancements
1.BesAudEnh
2.BesLoudness
If i enable both, close settings and reopen again the BesLoudness is going disabled automatically.
EDITED : While on call if we try to use keypad the other caller was able to listen beep sounds which is not happening while on other call. Just came to know.
Hope in next update sound boosting and battery draining will be fixed.
Thanks a lot for your grate efforts in presenting this ROM.
ROM is smooth and quite responsive, games worked well for me. Good job @Siddhesh.K15 :good:
but there were some issues like:
1. Battery drain, although device doesnt heatup still drains very fast even after applying battery tweaks. Also i noticed that cpu is not going into deep sleep mode, maybe thats the reason for battery drain.
2. Gravitybox(KK) crashes.
3. Camera: rear is 8mp & front is vga and HDR doesn't seem to work, force closes (tried other third party apps too)
4. The equiliser in Fusion app doesn't work, means the effects don't get applied.
Hope all this get fixed in next update.
thanks to the devs for such a awesome rom
pretty smooth
awesome UI
no lags
sound is a bit low
only bug is battrey drain...charged 100% yest night...in the morning it ws 60% ( wifi was on )

Thanks for your review. Battert drain is still issue so we have provided the patch to reduce it to some extent. Gravitybox wont work as it is for pure aosp roms and this is themed rom. And the 3 rd and 4 th are purely hive issue we will look forward to make hive ota updates compatible with our device

It asked to register Xolo, there is only one option: 'OK' so i press the back button in order not to register. Then a sms came with my imei, when I looked at my usage from service provider, I saw that also a sms was send and a fee charged.
