Custom ROMs for Daily use

USING A CUSTOM ROM FOR DAILY USE
Hey guys have been bitten by the Jelly Bug and decided I needed JellyBean on my Note NOW!! as a normal Android user :laugh: tried out a few ROMs out there. Finally settled on Paranoid Android JB:CM 10 Hybrid http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1871713 Its abosolutely super Hats of to Chef Utacka the daily update keeps me up to date with the developments. He has without a doubt solved the memory leak bug with JB roms. It is really smooth and the thought of going back to a TW based ROM makes me want to throw up a little
The only draw back of flashing a custom JB: CM 10 ROM on the note is that one can get a bit lost if using the note for business as all the Sammy TW Based apps dont work and some of the ones mentioned in the Themes and Apps forum are not refined, so decided to to list out a few which I personally bridge the gap on my note and help flashing the daily updates a breeze:
1) App Manager http://ow.ly/efNxe the best app to keep your apps all backed up. after a clean flash the only app you need to download is this one and it allows you to restore all the apps back. Or just download it and copy it to the SD Card so that you can install it directly after flashing the new update an re - install all the apps you need.
2) ThinkFree Office Mobile http://ow.ly/efOQn One of the best purchases I made for Rs 465/- it entirely replaces Polaris office, and is much smoother too.
3) Jotter http://ow.ly/efQ84 Does a super job replacing SNote and worth the Rs. 211/- asking price
4) Photo Editor Easy Photo Editor http://ow.ly/efQGo or SketchTalk - Drawing & Editinghttp://ow.ly/efQPD work really well replacing the sammy photo editor. I have just found Sketch talk and first few hours testing it out produced quite impressive results
5) G Tasks: To Do List http://ow.ly/efRqy syncs with Google calendar and provide the integration which is somewhat lacking in the Sammy Organizer.
6) SMS Backup & Restore http://ow.ly/efRMp for some of us who keep valuable information in our messaging app, please remember to back up all sms before clean flashing updates.
Enuf Said... our NOte is close enuf to the original but somewhat better because we dont have to wait for the high and mighty Sammy to give us the latest software
UPDATE:
App Manager failed me Twice. So shifted back to the Time tested Titanium Backup http://ow.ly/eDHzI
To find more apps to improve the functionality of our Note and make the functionality similar to stock i came across this lovely port of the samsung app store for CM 10 / CM10 based ROMs by XDA Member Amandeep Parmar http://ow.ly/eDHLD
This app store gives many App options which are not available on Google's Play store like Sketch! http://ow.ly/eDHY2 by XDA member Wabz and
Photo Desk : which allows doodling and annotating screen shots and photos, although this is a two step process unlike the single step process on the stock ROMs it is pretty easy to use and the apps do exactly what they need to.
The only thing missing was a good replacement for S - Memo which is required while taking on call memos, for now Papyrus http://ow.ly/eDIbn will have to do.
Still sticking to the Lovely work by Utacka and Paranoid Android team as my Daily Driver.. Super stuff
UPDATE: 10th Nov
Utacka's PA rom for NOte now has Stylus Gestures http://ow.ly/fb1I2 Configured them on my note as under:
Left Swipe => Emulate Back Key
Right Swipe => Recent Applications
Up Swipe => Emulate Menu Key
Down Swipe => Invoke Search
Long Press => Go TO Home
Double Tap => Jotter
Works super
I personally Love the CM 10 PA experience and just cannot bring myself to even try TW based ROMs anymore. But i was pleasantly surprised with http://ow.ly/fb1Qm The latest Stock XXLS7 Samsung JellyBean ROM by eybee1970.. I did not like that the dev says "Kernel is PROBABLY brick free. Flashed it anyway... It is smooth and stable !!

Thanks to JimmyMcGee and Jared Burrows i found this app to replace Titanium backup I personally think App Manager does the trick for me but yes Titanium backup is usually the choice for Flasholics

I use Titanium Backup too....On GB first,on ICS and now on JB.
I take pro version on playstore but i not use pack restore on JB.
This app works fine everytime......

Thanks dental guru but I like Paranoid Android ROM precisely because of the hybrid mode... I feel It truly brings out the power of the note

Its a known issue. I think he might have solved it in their 21st OKT release but if you switch off "Automatic Brightness" it should not Blank out

[IMP] [3Mar] Checlist to be performed before releasing a ROM

Hello Guys,
I came with this because we have lot of custom ROMs and most of them lack of stability and with issues.
Thanks for the all developers to come up with new things in their ROMs. But for more sustainability we need the following.
I know this thread should be not in this section. But it should be here for better development and release of ROMs.
What is this all about?
This is a checklist of testing to be performed/identified to make a better and stable ROM releases.
CHECKLIST: Screenshots will be good
1. No WIFI issues
2. No force closes while opening apps.
3. Atleast minimum Gaming
4. Signal problems
5. SIM detection
6. OTG storage detection
7. No reboots during calls/playing games
8. Both the front/back camera should be working which gives some quality images.
9. Charging options even when phone is switched off like in stock ROM.
10. Indication LED lights should work.
11. USB OTG on the fly (without using apps)
12. USB detection.
13. Tethering and hotspot should work.
14. 720P Hd videos should be played with out hassle.
15. GPS test
16. FM
17. Headset (Play, pause and stop) should work for Music player and FM.
18. Bluetooth
Last but not least and most important is the Battery: If possible with screenies.
Suggest more guys, will be added to the list.

3) build prop - Should support playing most games like gangster rio..like galaxy s2.
4) Should have good looks but doesn't compromises on performance.
5) Should have apps like 4.2: playstore (black),camera and gallery,samsung calculator(touchwiz mod from razer),black message etc
6) Increased flash brightness to max(MMX A110 led is very poor by default)
7) Notification bar with brightness slider and and is transparent like.(http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1890150)
8) A good lock screen with 4 options(unlock,camera,messages,call)
9) LOTS of tweaks for gaming....

2)show battery perc on the battery.
3)from build prop its any mobile which supports playing most games like gangster rio..like g)alaxy s2.

our forum is is full of useless rom.its not gud for new users.

Thanks for the list Gurpreet. But some of them looks like requirements.
The list should be like mandatory things for a ROM to be stable. Agree?

Many of People said to Dev that to do try that os can consume less RAM,
We understand you all But please understand We have only 512 RAM and ICS and JB , Which basically Consume more RAM and Second thing is that our Hardware is Dual core and its also take lil bit more RAM den single Core,
If we were have GB den i can sure it consume so less RAM den ICS and JB.
But we are trying our best but we can't stop system process to consume less RAM
But Yes Stability Is Most Imp. thing and am completely agree in that.

Why do we need more RAM?
To play High end games?? Ofcourse yes!! Anything else?
If for playing games, with 100MB of RAM or even less, I am playing all the games. Even I am not using any task killer, RAM optimizers, just the stock ROM.
As Jigar said, system process consumes RAM. Some apps like JB keyboard even taking 22 - 30MB. We can optimize in those areas.
And coming to the performance, every one is claiming their ROM is best at performance. It would be great if ROM devs can prove them by statistics or you can even describe how the ROM is made for performance with which tweaks and how they effect the performance considering the battery.

I agree with this point RAM space can be saved by removing unwanted system apps running in the background.

One more important requirement:
Charging options even when phone is switched off like in stock ROM. some roms do not charge when phone is switched off.
Indication LED lights working as in stock ROMs
USB OTG on the fly (without using apps)

YA thats what i would be looking forward to...and we have too many roms so to stand apart from all those roms i think these things should be considered.

Wish transparent status and notification bar.. Like in lewa..

Ya i mentioned it in my post and also provided the link for that mod.

oops..didnt notice...anyway i had seen that thread earlier.... the decompiling systemui.apk didnot work for me! ... the apk tool reported som error.!.
wonder if just opening the apk file via 7zip enough?..
..i hop our rom developers wud be able to do that and give us transparent status bar..

The only other way for us to expand our Ram is use the Custom Kernel and put s Swap Ram or Zram. I gained extra 40-60mb of ram.
If the users is not satisfied with the Rom, why don't they stick to Stock Rom?

Nexus Redefined- Final version.​
Ok, guys time for the final version of this rom. Before that let me give thanks to you all. Its now proven that this rom is one of the best roms for our device, and this is possible only because you people liked the rom. Since previous two versions were almost perfect, i made a little change in this version. Hopefully u dont have to flash anything for bug fixing or camera. I now have very limited access to my phone since i have upgraded to Galaxy Nexus, the moment i created this version, i flashed it and checked the major features like camera, GPS, wifi etc. Seems fine to me, there should not be any further issue with it now. So here i present u Nexus Redefined rom.
Changelog:
Rebase the rom with Repacked version of Nexus V2.1 made by Stas2z. Big thanks to him for some bug fixing and liking my rom.
Radio is now updated.
Updated Apollo music player and CM file explorer. Now no lag while opening files.
Removed Stock android music player and Music Fx.
Added CM DSP manager- it should give some sound boost.
Pure Audio MoD.
Many init.d tweaks like- zram,sqlite,zipalign etc.
Adobe flash player added for viewing flash enable web sites.
Stock full functioning camera, no need to change built.pro or use previous files.
Fixed uninstalling giving FC
Almost full Developer option, you can enable or disable HW coposer, enable MSA tweak etc.
3 shortcut lockscreen- unlocking, Google search and Camera.
CM lockscreen widget and Dash clock widget to choose from, no icons in the app drawer for CM widget like before.
Removed HOLO launcher, Only Stock Android Launcher is used.
Added a small alternative market for some secret apps not available in playstore- fdroid.
Changed the bootanimation to latest Google bootanimation from Google edition of Galaxy S4. Thanks Shubham Jain for XoloLiquid rom.

The Settings App In the NEXUS has a black or default JB background, not some wallpaper like in ur screenshot
Im using ultimate v2 which scores about 13,000 on antutu, what about this? nd does it have any audio lag problem in games like Most wanted like stock q800
also does this have the full developer options like on nexus 4.. under settings i mean, stuff like force gpu rendering etc (ultimate v2 doesnt have it)
nexus 4 allows expanding statusbar from lock screen does this?.. (ultimate v2 messed this up)
is the dialer, gallery, contacts, .. same as in Nexus 4?. i mean are they stock vanilla apps?. (ultimate v2 has a pathetic phone app)
named nexus edition... how much from nexus .. or how stock android (vanilla) is it.. i see its a PORT.., not a home brewn ROM.. so..

Thanks for ur opinion. Actually its my first cook. and i m searching for the resources to have it look like pure vanilla nexus. i have also discussed this matter with some pals. but it seems there are not so many people at this moment willing to work on it. Besides the resources to make a complete nexus like rom is limited too. and i m not a dev. just a rom cooker. i have been asking devs for their help regarding this matter. Since its MTK 6589, its really very hard to have compile even if u have complete sets or rersources. I had a talk with Brajesh, and i m a big fan of his work. Ultimate V2 is very good rom. thanks for pointing me out the issues, i will try to do my best that is within my reach.
and for the benchmark, i checked Antutu and Quadrant, on first run it scored 13111 on antutu and almost 4000 on quadrant, something like 3983. next time when i did intalled some apps antutu scored 13093. and this rom has no sound issue like xolo stock rom.
if u have some source of Nexus goodies like phone app and the other things u mentioned plz pm me. i will try to include them in next version. and yes its a ported rom, and thats why its hard to have complete nexus feel. if there were any way to built it from source, it would have been much easier. altough currently the kernel source is out, but it still lacks some vital files that is required to have fully functional custom kernel. Untill then, i dont see any hope for USB OTG. and next version will be a bare bone one, i will not include any 3rd party app on it.
one last thing mate, if u know a very good themer who is willing to work for our device, plz ask him to Join our group on facebook. Coz i dont think there is much hope without a good themer building a complete nexus like rom.

hey, firstly im glad u bothered to reply, just um taking care of the stuff in BOLD letters, woulda been enough, yeah i now its a mt6589 and making/porting aint easy, i tried pushing nexus 4 system apps, such as phone and contacts into our phones, but. dint really work out, i think its proly because of the different hardware relating to dual sim functionality, however u could try this, holo launcher is free and looks more stock than all other launchers, we already use the normal android 4.2 icons so those look stock, a black background for settings and other system apps, and no third party apps on a fresh ROM, these few stuff would give ur ROM a proper 4.2 stock vanilla look. im not a developer but i believe u can somehow give access to the developer options in settings... like force rendering en all. i already see ur half way there, there are pie controls in ur browser, there the nexus 4.2 camera, also. if u havent already included, throw the stock keyboard away replace with the actual 4.2 keyboard with gesture input http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1964663 .. for audio make sure the phone sounds as good as ultimate v2 rom, the acid audio engine and some tweaks in the engineering mode helps increase volume also its easy to use Cyanogen Mod's Player, their file manager also in-cooperates holo theming and looks really stock.. all of these u can get from xda pages. i could help with links if u want, for theming, could be clear of what sort u want, cause we already have a vanilla looking status bar, notifications, icons n stuff.. i mean our framework is already vanilla themed. nexus 4 wallpapers, roms, are all over the internet in case u need em for anything, with ur current ROM, and with the stuff above.. Thank u for the encouragement bro. i have gathered some of the required resources. i just need to change the bakcground settings to black like brajesh's rom. For sound enhancement, i decided not to include ACiD mod, instead i will add 'PureAudio' Mod, i already tried it and it works very good. mean while will add some built.prop and init.d tweaks. thanks for the feedback. i m glad u liked my work.

dont know brother. u can try my addons. use Fly on Mod according to the tutorial of original thread. it has many pluggins like balanced, multitasking, gaming. use gaming pluggins. this might help a bit. and make sure u dont turn on auto brightness while plying these 2 games. Auto brightness in this device is a bit restless. it tries to adjust brightness too quickly and thats why lags sometimes. setting brightness manually will solve this issue i think.

ISSUES:
android 4.2 default camera app with photosphere seems to be crap, photos taken are dark n bad... when compared to the stock camera app and the one in ultimate v2 rom (that was the best) solution : NONE.. i tried putting camera2.apk from ultimate v2 rom in system/app, and setting right permission but app doesnt show up.... SO I NEED UR HELP HERE. PLEASE tell me how to add that camera app instead of the one in ur ROM. thanks
gaming is stuttery ..not smooth on TEMPLE RUN 2, OZ and SUBWAY SURFERS (solved by enabling disable HW overlays option on developer options... however this option must be turned on every time the phone restarts) also UI more smooth after turning HW rendering... with these changes, gameplay is super smooth and unparalleled. PLEASE tell me a way to automatically turn on disable hw overlays option.
init.d folder is there, but flashing stuff like scripts from cwm which add scripts.. dont work, u have to manually put the scripts in place, like the fly on mod flashing failed... didnt do anything.. because scripts dont get added to init.d (solved by manually putting scripts in folder and setting permission)'
about phone shows galaxy nexus. woulda liked XOLO Q800
other minor bugs, phone or call button in dialer seems slightly dislocated or wrongly alligned,
woulda liked es file explorer over cm file manager ..also as for apollo, and cm file manager u used very early slow, pre-historic versions, these apps have been updated and made speedy, anywy thats not a issue...

Thanks for liking my rom. about the Camera, i have uploaded Stock Camera with necessary files also built.prop editing TUT. Plz check OP, they are all included in the 2nd post. i was getting way too many complaints about nexus camera and had to upload the stock ones. I tried the method written by myself and camera with gallery works perfectly fine. and About init.d, i dont know but flashing fly on mod worked on mine, i use TWRP recovery. and i agree cm file manager is slow, i collect it from XDA somewhere and some guys ported it. dont know without port it will work or not. will try it. and about ticking HW overlay everytime, i have no working solution for it for now. i noticed it on every rom that has complete developers options.

Hmm, just checked the issue. pressing menu doesnt giving me force close but 3 circle edit button is giving me force close. sorry bro, currently i dont have any solution for this. may be i will build another version when i find a suitable base. till then, wait plz. thanks for pointing these out. remember, i m not a developer, i m just a modder.

Instruction for flashing-
1. Enter into recovery
2. From recovery take a backup just incase. Then wipe Data/Factory reset, Wipe cache and dalvic cache. You can also format System from advanced menu.
3. Now, flash the zip. When flashing is completed, wipe cache again.
4. Reboot.
Rom with more optimization and some awesome tweaks with all the bugs fixed coming soon.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ):
1. How to enable air command?
- Hold capacitive menu button
2. How to use multi window?
- Drag 2 apps from sidebar to home screen
3. How to hide/show sidebar?
- Long press back key button for 2-3 seconds
4. How to install OTA update(s) after downloading?
- Uncheck wipe data and wipe cache before installing OTA update(s).
5. Why Unfortunately, SystemUI has stopped?
- If you have facebook messenger installed, just drag the chat head(s) down to close it. Then reopen facebook messenger in app drawer to restore System UI back to normal.
- Another workaround is to install Xposed Installer/Framework and Gravity Box [JB] then activate it in Xposed Installer modules then reboot. Open Gravity Box and select Navigation keys actions and set Home key Long-press action to Show recent apps.
- It is also recommended to install Xposed and GravityBox or other modules in Internal Memory for proper functioning. Read next question about Xposed/GravityBox.
- Branded Android devices from known companies like HTC, SAMSUNG, SONY, etc. also encounter this problem when facebook messenger is installed.
6. Why Led indicator (sms/call notifications at top) is not working for incoming missed-call or missed-sms?
- Download , Install and just Open Light Manager and change LED color to "Green" for CALLS and SMS and also run Test to check color. LEDs of A116 can show only two colors, Green and Red, so do not change to any other color, else LED LIGHTS will not work.
7. FONTS option in settings does Force Closes. What to do?
- The Fonts option in settings is related to iFont App. Just install from playstore and it will work. You may also need to restart phone and clear Dalvik Cache. It was tested ok but missed in this first build upload.
8 - Xposed / Gravity Box not working?
A- Xposed works perfect in all roms made by me. But make sure that Xposed Installer and all its modules are installed in Internal memory and not sd card.
____1) Run App Manager and Move "Xposed Installler" and "Graviti Box" or all other modules to Internal Memory.
____2) Run Xposed and in Frameworks again Run "INSTALL/UPDATE" and reboot.
____3) Now just UNCHECK Gravity Box and RE-CHECK Gravity Box and again reboot.
This works perfect on this rom too and is tested ok, though I have not installed modules other than GravityBox.
This method works on other roms too.
9 - I can's see or setup Live Wallpaper. Why?
A - For some strange reason it was excluded from the rom, but as some people may still want it, here is the patch only for Colossus Rom on any ported model
10 - How to enable or disable sidebar and run two apps in MultiWindow?
A - To get familiar with sidebar watch this video

Downloaded and checked this ROM.
As mentioned in First post , after installing necessary apps free ram is between 430 to 540mb.
Output sound is loud and clear.
Display brightness is sharp and clear.
Camera is 13 rear and 5 front.
Was able to play Vector , Sniper and Need for speed.
- Play FM Radio without headphone now.

As given in first post, FM was working without earphone, but would be better if user doesnt want to listen in loud speaker mode he can change to headset mode.
Pls check if this can be done or not.

CNT (ChrizelNoteThree): Issue
Hi @cmahendra, Downloading now,
On Friday i had installed the CNT (ChrizelNoteThree) & I love it a lot, so will install in next weekend.
I wanna to know that where following shortfall from CNT (ChrizelNoteThree) ROM is solved or still present..

1) There is no icon in dialer & Massage which make me understand that the call/massage is on sim 1 or sim 2.
2) Call log shows call only not showing the call+massage.
3) Network icon on status bar are white for both the network.its not changing the colour as per selection in network setting.
4) Home & lock screen wallpaper always change simultaneously. wether u send home screen or lock screen it change the wallpaper for both..
Pls help up ....Sorry for repeating the question..

Smart Stay feature isn't working. Tried re-flashing ROM and checked it.
Am i the only one having this issue or anyone else, because i dont want to leave a bad comment and misguide users. I understand your efforts( all devs and testers) and pain in making this rom stable and smooth. Pls help.....

Please note we paid only 200$ for this phone and it does not have many sensors which Samsung Note 3 have. So some features may not work and that is normal in ported rom. Some features like gesture and other can be enabled in future updates but NOT ALL. So, if you think this custom rom will convert your low-end phone into Samsung Note 3, then its not correct.

Good Rom
Sir I flashed this Rom yesterday
Played some games like gta, Nfs, Tennis etc No lag at all and Smooth Gameplay
I know we cant make our a117 like NOTE 3
But this Rom looks same as Note 3 settings, status bar, every interface is changed
Well, Stand by time is superb and Battery backup is Good till now
Smooth Transition effects and I mainly liked 5 X 6 app grid menu, it suits mainly for touchwiz interface
I dont use fb messenger so no problem for me
Apps like sketch book, S note, S planner, Story album works perfectly
Only thing is Vibration of Capacitive touch buttons is too high For now i turn off that vibration but like to use it
As u said Light Manager gives only two Colors ie Red and Green. I would like to know the reason that any LED is capable of providing all colors or not ???
One more doubt sir! Greenifiying System apps effects the system or not ?

I did not say LightManager can give only two colors of LED. I said this phone can show only two colors. Green and Red. For getting all colors you may need to spend around 700$.
Greenify is an outstanding app which freezes apps in background saving CPU load and that saves battery. You cannot Greenify System App, coz they dont show up in hibernation list while adding apps in hibernation list.
YES IT IS MUST USE APP THESE DAYS RECOMMENDED FOR ALL ROMS.

Dont panic! It is not related to flashing method. Who told you to flash with so many recoveries.
Its common problem few people face. with two possibilities.
1) Your SDCard file system is not FAT32. Connect SDCARD to pc and take backup of all data and re-format card in Mobile and restore data
2) If your SDCARD is good then another method is to rescan media storage.
Open Setting >> Apps >>> All >> Media Storage >>> Press Clear Data and Clear Cache and REBOOT.
After reboot wait for 5 to 20 minutes depending on number of songs and videos you have. Now Music and video apps will show media files.
If this does not help, there is small app called "ReScan SDCARD" run it. It will rescan all files and populate your photos, music and videos proplerly.

smoother than stock.....
really good improvement in the front camera department....the back camera gets a little sluggish in low light though...but no problem
light sensor improved..:good: liittle to no brightness fluctuation in low light...
only PROBLEM i faced is that the sharing the pc's internet connection to the phone doesn't work i cannot press the next button, ok button works( ss attached) but the network profile is not created to share the internet....

Back camera(13mp) is smooth in outdoor bright light but is quite sluggish indoor in normal to low light conditions or morelike in artificial light....maybe I'm noticing it too much coz the front camera is super smooth compared to d back cam....did changing 12mp to 13 cause this thing?(coz tlin stock rom(12mp cam) there was no such lag.... If so then most of us would prefer a faster 12mp cam than a slower 13mp.....please try to fix it sir....
Overall d rom too butter smooth... Making daily driver...thanks alot fr the hard work

I actually made this tutorial for you but by testing in A116. You can use A117 drivers and still try it.

Use anyone posted in Magnus A117 Android original Development thread

Hey OP, everything's just great! But still the battery issue isn't fixed yet, at Night it dropped from 55% to 32% without any usage or Wi-Fi on. I hope you'll soon come up with an update as you mentioned. Cheers, rest everything's smooth and great, no delay with the hardware buttons too!

I have tried using this ROM lookwise it is an awesome one working good but only there are some issues that are came across are :
I am using phils recovery.
I have install just ROM without updates it worked fine.Asap I have install only update no bettery workaround it started to show FC in all cases like UI, OOES at boot time etc.
Sound it bit low but can be adjusted from Engineering mode
Battery consumption is high even after applying Battery workaround
After sometime playstore giving error authentication failed even if I am logged in using usual account of Gmail
Other thing works fine
People who are using and installed successfully can suggest which recovery you are using

Overall performance like miui ROM...
Gaming OK .. High end games not recomeded.. I installed asphalt 8 latest at low graphic it run ok with little lag... Daily use messaging n all good...
FC sometime happens . when restart it takes lot time to load all things..

First look is awesome. Performance is gr8. Sound is a bit low. Camera is showing 8mega pixels only, but still fine for this monster. Battery is draining pretty fast. Charged 100% and device was locked. Havent used for 4 hrs 30min. and battery was down to 67%.
One thing that i have observed is :
In audio profiles there are two audio enhancements
1.BesAudEnh
2.BesLoudness
If i enable both, close settings and reopen again the BesLoudness is going disabled automatically.
EDITED : While on call if we try to use keypad the other caller was able to listen beep sounds which is not happening while on other call. Just came to know.
Hope in next update sound boosting and battery draining will be fixed.

1. Battery drain, although device doesnt heatup still drains very fast even after applying battery tweaks. Also i noticed that cpu is not going into deep sleep mode, maybe thats the reason for battery drain.
2. Gravitybox(KK) crashes.
3. Camera: rear is 8mp & front is vga and HDR doesn't seem to work, force closes (tried other third party apps too)
4. The equiliser in Fusion app doesn't work, means the effects don't get applied.
Hope all this get fixed in next update.

pretty smooth
awesome UI
no lags
sound is a bit low
only bug is battrey drain...charged 100% yest night...in the morning it ws 60% ( wifi was on )

Thanks for your review. Battert drain is still issue so we have provided the patch to reduce it to some extent. Gravitybox wont work as it is for pure aosp roms and this is themed rom. And the 3 rd and 4 th are purely hive issue we will look forward to make hive ota updates compatible with our device

Well the FC you face is becasue you flashed all zips at once . I have alredy mentioned to first flash rom then let it boot to system and do inistial setup google and all. Then again come back to recovery and flash update patch.

It asked to register Xolo, there is only one option: 'OK' so i press the back button in order not to register. Then a sms came with my imei, when I looked at my usage from service provider, I saw that also a sms was send and a fee charged.
