Has anyone used this app on the htc sensation? I have installed it and so far it is "learning".

Does anyone know how long the app "learn" and is it possible to restart the phone to flash something while it is learning?

After a brief 2-4 day introduction period, Snapdragon BatteryGuru learns the user’s behaviors and then notifies the user that it is ready to extend the battery life and improve the experience. (that's what the developer says in app description)
When you flashed your device you have to start from scratch teaching the tool your behaviour.

I mean, if a flash a mod for example and restart the phone, is battery guru learning again from beginning?
No clue, but I don't think so if you don't change something deep in system with the mod
I've used it for a week(after learning process which took 3 days initially ) and honestly i didn't see any improvement in battery at all ..I always use auto sync but still ..
give this greenify app a shot ..its performing awesomely good with regards to ram and battery ( i got +5 hrs total time during first cycle )

So,I'm so freaking tired of charging my phone 3 times a day (HTC inspire) so I flash different roms, without sense to try and save battery, and I get maybe one extra hour!! So it makes me want a different phone, and I try to think of a different OS so I install miui just to see if I can stand not having full blown android, and I can't. So I'm stuck at a crossroad, with no money to just buy another phone. What would you do? No one will trade me an atrix lol.

Try a low voltage kernal w/ smartass governor maybe.
Try a battery calibration app and LBE security app, lower display brightness. Limit the number of widgets and start up programs.
I run CM7 nightlies with faux's LV kernel overclocked at 1113 and have 4G + GPS enabled. I get at least 10 hours but more like 15. Good luck! Thankfully I don't have to limit myself or disable certain functions. I have a myTouch 4G

It really depends on your usage pattern, doesn't it? If you're going to be using your phone with the screen on all of the time, then I really doubt changing the profile will be making that much of a difference to your battery life. In any case, it's very difficult to accurately and objectively determine the impact a profile or kernel will make on your battery life. For example, I use my phone differently each day, so it's really hard to tell. I can roughly gauge if a kernel can give me better battery life, but it's very hard to say for sure. There is a difference since all those profiles control the CPU differently, but whether you can see a significant difference or not is up to you.

Same here. Most of the time my phone survives for two or even more days without recharging (ondemand profile) but there are days when it drains battery like there is no tomorrow (no network, using it for navigation...) so I guess it boils down to your usage patterns and what you are expecting from device.

For me, the biggest negative is that the phone is not fast enough comparing to S3. Although, it might be touch wiz problem than hardware, because Nexus 10 feels much fluid and smooth.

it has a lot of features and a 1080p screen (yes the 1080 has more than twice the pixels of 720 that it needs to use memory for the GPU), it needs to use up some extra ram to run smoothly. imagine how slow it would be if it used 550mb and kept swapping it out
furthermore ive got a droid 3 with 512mb of ram... even with a custom rom with zero bloat this thing had like 50-100mb left to run apps... imagine how disappointed i am with it -_-

this isnt a legit complaint because its the fastest phone in the world. when i build a computer i expect some of the parts to sometimes run warm. in fact, my 7970 runs around 60 celsius under full load. the latest greatest technology is expected to get a little warm lol...
besides who ISNT going to use this thing as a hand warmer during the winter? lol
I too experience phone restarts when entering the camera app. Battery drains on average 10% every hour ( or more ) on medium use. Reached 50C degrees battery temp when browsing app, it got very uncomfortable to hold in the hand.

Yeap, I disabled all of them.
Still, when routinely switching between camera -> gallery -> email -> back to camera the transition between windows is very slow. And it's not because of animation, but probably because the phone needs to restore the state of a next app and it takes ages.
The phone is ok, but I expected more from 2013's hardware.
My phone never restarted itself, camera has crashed 2 times in 3 weeks, I don't have a problem with overheating, even if I use it all day (batterry draining is normal for a quadcore with 1080 screen... it lasts high use about 5-6 hours )

So I built another app and would like ppl to test it out. This app will kill core 2 to increase battery life. It also kills when the screen is off.
Just push the off button and the the core will be turned off and will remain off till you turn it on through the app or reboot.
Please let me know your thoughts!
This is going to be free on the market when its done.
Please let me know your battery life and what not if you can.
Thanks guys!

haven't done anything long term to test battery life but it seems not to keep core2 off 100% of the time (is it supposed to?). even when i directly wake from the lock screen into the app itself i can see core status switching off & on.
im also getting a lot of SU toast notifications outside of the app itself. when i run linpak the multi thread yields results typical of both cores running.
running Liquid smooth and a custom BMS kernel.
thanks but uninstalled for now
