[Q] New Rom - Eee Pad Transformer Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi ...i have been searching for some time now for a stable JB rom..any suggestions? have looked at Eos 3 and Eos 4 but this is the first flash on my transformer and wanted input. Also where do you download Eos at ?? . looking at all the options they have and i am totally confused with build #
I would like to see Jb perform much better than Ics ..any help would be great
Thanks

EOS3 #81 with KATKernel #69 is my recommendations atm - That is JB 4.1.2
EOS4 is fairly new, a newer build of JB but has a few problems atm
If you want a fast, smooth, bug free ROM, go for EOS3 #81

4.1 is slower than 4.2 for me. TeamEOS's 4.2.2 is the best thing my tablet has seen in a long time. As stated above, there may be bugs as it's newer but I haven't experienced any show-stopper bugs or anything annoying.
You can get it from their official thread.

I have not had any bugs other than audio loss after some sleep (fix with the K.A.T Toolbox) on the EOS 4 latest ROM.
EOS 3 is stable, have not run it in a while though.
I was running the PA/CM hybrid of Mattmanwrx and it was stable.

new rom
Thanks for the replies ang info...think I will give EOS 3 a try.I was leaning that way have heard 4.2 had some bugs also might look at ray fx

Xoom 4.0.4 - rooted but which ROM to enable overclocking?

Hi folks. Ive been trawling through the forums in the developer section all day.
What I have it a US wifi only XOOM with 4.0.4 - was totally standard.
Now what Ive managed to do is boot unlock root it so far. What I want to do is overclock it. To do this I understand I need a custom ROM on it. But which one? Just want something tha'ts stable and works. I cant quite get that information from the developer section. Im not too fussed about JellyBean for the moment
Any help would be welcome
Cheers
Do you want jellybean or ICS custom ROM?
Team eos ROMs are THE ones for you, stable and super fast,
Mz604 jellybean ROM from team eos. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=28576370
Mz601 jellybean ROM from team eos. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=171.
Mz602 jellybean ROM from team eos. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=28578992
Mz602 ICS ROM from team eos. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=21001782

Mz604 ICS ROM from team eos. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=20479464
Without doubt, team eos roms are the best. No debate about it at all.
As for ics , or jellybean, team eos ROMs ICS are fully customized and funtional even with theme engine. Lots of options included.
Jellybean ROMs are under development, but they are so stable, and compared to ICS, they are way smoother and faster including more options from source.
Team eos release updates and add features support constantly say every week at least which you flash with wiping cache and dalvik only. Their amazing work is appreciated and guess what, they do it for free. That is why we love them and donate to them.
As for the added features of jellybean on top of ICS by Google source, refer to this link. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=28839960
Bottom line, catch team eos and preferably jellybean to feel how amazingly smooth and fast it is asap.
As for over clocking, they have this option under system settings for over clocking. And, you also can download off the market setcpu app or any other equivalent app to do the same job.
Welcome to eos xoomers

Why don't you click his thanks button then.
I did not see that! Duly clicked.
The url you posted for Mz601 isn't work for me. Can you double-check it? I tried to browse for it but all I found was what appears to be a EU version.

[Q] ASUS ICS x CM9 x CM10

We all know the official ICS for TF100 is a CRAP, and apparentily after .24/.27 they do nothing anymore.
Is CM9 for TF100 have all the official ICS bugs, SLODs, RRs, etc or is it stable?
What about the CM10 stability (i know it's alpha yet)?
CM9 is aosp so it has nothing official from Asus in it. The kernel seems to have been the main issue so its worth noting that Guevors/Raymans/Mysticninjas kernels redressed this for most ICS users.
CM10 is very much an alpha as suggested, however Eos3 and Raymans versions are very much improved. Eos3 being at the most polished and advanced stage.
Makelegs is working on CM10 based Jellybro and has made some improvements.
As for performance - ive been real impressed with Jellybean, even with the slowly but surely disappearing bugs. I would honestly suggest giving Eos3 or Raymans JB a go.
Just make sure you are on one of the latest recoveries, full wipe as always, and read the OPs to make sure you have all the files you need for a hassle free experience (ie gapps for all JB builds & the Super SU flashable zip for Raymans)
You can always flash back to ICS based builds if your not happy.....just remember to have an ICS compatable kernel stored for flashing if you do.
And dont use rom manager

AOKP JB OR CyanogenMod 10

AOKP JB OR CyanogenMod 10
WHICH ONE DO YOU PREFER!!!
I use CM9 constantly for stability till CM10 is more stable though AOKP 4.0.4 I used that for more than a month and really liked the features so most of the time for stability I pick CM and for more (on board/stock) features I pick AOKP. Playing around with AOKP 4.1.1 it was unstable at the time but it should have gotten better but all the features that I missed and were missing from CM10 were there though CM10's build was a little more stable than AOKP 4.1.1.
Since they're both not 100% RC/stable beta then it all comes down to who gets better stability support first so you have to test them yourself and most of the great devs on our forums are keeping us up to date from the actual source. Remember more people work on CM than AOKP but like what AOKP stands for its a "Kang" of the features you like. Personally if AOKP has the stability as CM has then I would stick to AOKP.
You would just have to test it yourself or else it will be another this vs this thread and it will go on non stop. I flash a lot of things on my phone to keep testing which one I like CM9 -> CM10 -> AOKP 4.1.1 -> CM10 -> CM9
I think CM10 right now is smooth and nice, AOKP 4.1.1 is getting there but I always go back to CM9 when I need important calls or I am driving and using GPS because you don't want a random reboot to happen.
Overall I would just do a nandroid backup and flash away, if anything messes up then revert back. :good:

[Q] Which is more Stable on Wingray

Hello,
i want to know which rom is more stable on wingray?
1.[ROM][4.2 JB MR1] Team EOS 4 *JELLYBEAN MR1* Nightlies - Wingray / MZ604 / WIFI ONLY
2.[ROM][NIGHTLY] CM10.1 (Wingray/Stingray/Everest)
3.[ROM][4.2.1] My Android 4.2 for Xoom Wi-Fi - Stable Release
thx for answers ...
Probably all about the same. EOS is pretty stable, I haven't had too many issues, only had one freeze/crash in the last week.

I tried CM10.1 last night, on My Android 4.2.1 now.
I find My Android 4.2.1 a lot smoother and less bugs, CM10.1 had a few Force Closes for me and seemed sluggish, perhaps in a few versions time
I would like Chronus on non-CM roms though
thx for answer i flashed cm 10.1 ...

[Q] IS CM stable worth to install?

Hi there mates,
I finally decided to dump the stock ROM and give it a try on custom one.
After reading a bit i think i'm starting to like Cyanogen, but since i want a good stable ROM i appreciated some opinions form anyone who is using it.
1st and really important: my stock ROM does not have any of the know issues (deep sleep probs, random reboots, battery drains etc...) so anyone know if CM 9.x stable have any of this issues?
2nd does everything work? In the CM forums i found no one complaining with "loosing" functionality's but i would like to ear from anyone that uses this on a daily basis. (i found a lot of people complaining with encryption problem and bad flashing but not about Wifi radio, camera, etc...)
3rd: Is this the best choice to use on a daily basis? Or there is a better/more stable/more fluid Rom?
Thanks to all.
Most of the CM 10.x ROMs are pretty stable and usable. I am a fan of the KatKiss ROMs. 4.2.2 has the best functionality, but the 4.3 variant is not bad. The only thng that does not work for me is camera on Skype.
+1 for KatKiss #226

On KatKiss 4.3 the camera do t work for me. The CM 10 and 10.1 ROMs and KatKiss 4.2.2 it worked fine. I have not tried any CM 10.2 ROMs.

Have you tried the stable version recommended on the CM site? Its 9.1.
The 10.x versions are not marked as stable... and i really dont want to re-re-reflash over and over again
Thks

Hmmm, if I did it was a while ago. CM 9 is based on ICS. I have not run an ICS ROM for more than a few hours in over a year. I would say that the Jelly Bean based ROMs (CM10.X) feel SO much faster due to project butter. I flashed back to stock ICS a bit ago, and it feels so sluggish.
Most of the threads on CM 10 you can see how stable they are. I know the No-Name CM 10.1 is rock solid. Joesteink has moved on, but the ROM is still rock solid and many users swear by it.

Is CM finally stable? I had it installed a year or so ago, but then it was still beta for the transformer. Since then I used various flavors and eventually stayed with the EOS-build. Very stable with all the options I ever need (like overclocking and gouvenor-changing). I'm still using EOS, since it's stable and performing very well. Katkiss seems to be the continuation of it, so you could try it yourself And if you don't like it, then you drop it for something else
