RebelROM Question - AT&T, Rogers HTC One X, Telstra One XL

So I am trying to flash into this ROM from Clockwork Recovery and when attempting to install I am getting a "Installation aborted" error. Any ideas why this may be happening?

Damnit kittens... I forgot lol.. Nice catch, I'll take my foot out my mouth
By any means I would try to re-download it with another browser

I skipped over using RebelROM and went with CM 10.1 and all is working well. One question. How do I get the Play store?

clockwork? where can i download?

hi,
I need to download clockwork recovery, but unfortunately the site is always of-line
is there anyone who has one or a mirror?
thanks
Get Rom manager from market then there is a option in it to download clockwork and flash it to your device.

Try www.google.com next time?
sorry, I thought there was a nexus for the clockwork s, I did not think it was always the
same for all devices ...
then if you search on google always refers to the site is offline
You have to flash the recovery and than install root explorer and rename the recovery script to something else so that clockwork recovery won't erase itself after reboot. I had that problem but doing that fixed my problem.

Gapps won't install

Title speaks for itself. I reflashed AOKP because the kernel I was on was giving me SOD and I forgot to reinstall Gapps as well. So I went into recovery to install it and I get something about not being able to install with (bad). I downloaded gapps again and got the same result. Do I need to reinstall the recovery?

Which gapps version? The latest I believe says ICS 3-17.

Yeah I've been trying to install the 3 17 version. The weird thing is that I've installed it before but know it's not installing.

Did you toggle script verification in your recovery that could cause it?
Currently on aokp hoping build 32 will convince me to stay
Just tried it and it didn't work :/

Is the UCLI3 update known to soft-brick phones w/ CWM?

I just got an update notification for build UCLI3. Is it safe to upgrade to on a phone with Clockworkmod Recovery installed? Some people are saying it boots into recovery, but then says "update failed" once rebooted.
TL;DR: Has anyone seamlessly updated to UCLI3 on a phone with CWM installed?
almost any update to a phone that doesn't have the stock recovery wont update due the fact that the update thats being sent out is processed differently with stock vs cwm and twrp
an no its not good to update with non stock recovery

I did. I didn't know whether or not the "update failed" message kept the phone from booting normally. I don't exactly have an hour or so to check.

So, would returning to just the stock recovery, then doing the OTA and re-installing CWM work, or do I need to do a factory reset as well beforehand?

I got the update notification as well. It downloaded and rebooted to CWM recovery without installing. Rebooted to system with no problems.I did an ODIN revert to stock and checked for updates, it downloaded and installed properly. Then reinstalled CWM via ODIN.Then rooted with flashable SU zip. all seems fine so far.

Yeah I also noticed a significant drop in LTE speeds. Maybe more around 5-10mbps slower.

installing 4.2 gapps

hey had a question about trying to install the 4.2 gapps. im currently running King Kang rom with the kernel that came with it (not 5) and TWRP. after i downloaded the .zip and went to install from recovery it instantly fails every time that i try it. am i missing a step somewhere, or do i need to be running kernel 5 or something?
Could be a bad download. Make sure signature check is off

Yea sig check is off, downloaded 2 different zips and both do the same

Download cm10 again ans reflash it, cleanly. Wipe system/cache/dalvik. Then try and flash over gapps. But I'd do another wipe on cache/delvik before you flash it. Just trying to keep the flashing as clean as possible. It also might be a problem with the version of gapps you're using. Do you have the latest?

[Q] AOKP Nightly Hercules on Skyrocket

I have seen numerous places online where TMO Roms have been installed on the Skyrocket and I have been trying for 3 days now to get CWM and TWRP to install the AOKP Hercules. Can anyone tell what I need to do to get this going on my second Skyrocket? Everytime I try to install the rom I get the error or wrong device. CWM nor TWRP will install the rom and let me run the conversion zip.

Delete the assert lines in the updater-script. You'll need to extract the rom and find the script. It's buried pretty deep in the META-INF folder.
