[Q] Stuck at "Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0" Splash Screen (GT-P3113) - Galaxy Tab 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Ok, so I am new to rooting Android, and I kinda rushed into it after finally getting the drivers working (curse you Kies and MTP driver for not working on Windows 7), and now my Tab won't actually run. It is stuck at the "Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0" splash screen.
At this point, I just want to get it running again.
The good news is I can still access the downloader (Power button and down volume button), and what is called the "Android system recovery". I tried the factory reset / wipe cache, but no luck.
So, this is what I did to get to this point:
I used the CF-Auto-Root-espressowifi-espressowifiue-gtp3113 package and Odin to load the PDA file. I had previously tried different PDA files.
So, I have given up on root access. How to I set it back to the original "Binary"?
Thank you!

OK, so I got it fixed by uploading a factory firmware, using the latest version of Odin. Thank you for your help (you can find the firmware at various sites on the web)

Flash cwm through Odin and when your done. That's if if works correctly shut down the tab and when the samsung galaxy tab 2 7.0 logo appears hold the power and volume down keys at the same time. Let it show the logo twice and it will boot into CWM

Dude when your coming from a custom ROM you have to check repartician or you have a possibility of permanently messing up your phone lol just out it back in download mode hook it up to Odin and make sure you put the right .pit file in there and the stock files and click rapartician and start

Problems trying to put any stock version

Hi, I have a problem that has me worried is that I had the latest version for my galaxy s3, but I started to give problems with the camera, when the error was saying abria camera.
Well I decided to flash again using odin android version 3.07 and version I535VRBMF1, but when you finish installing and Restarts the phone enters recovery mode says this
e: failed to Verify whole-file signature
E: signature verification failed
Instalation aborted.
I've tried with version 4.0.4 and also feel the same, not to do never had happened, the stock rom is all and that I had also, in some cases the phone rises to the configuration but remains there, says updating android is not letting me do anything, begins to vibrate.
thanks

Hmm, try Odin flashing one of these tar files, preferably BLK3. I'm somewhat confused by your words. When you Odin flash a tar, it successfully does so then it never boots into the rom and automatically goes back into recovery? Is that what you're saying?

[Q] E:signature verification failed -- in System Recovery

I tried to run CWM in System Recovery but everytime I try to install a ZIP file I get:
E:signature verification failed
Installation aborted.
I read over several posts on this subject but cannot figure it out.
I have:
Samsung Infuse
Gingerbread - installed after I had bricked my phone - UCLB3_Unbrick_root_1.1.zip
My Android Recovery Menu is blue - <3e>
When in my phone, I can run Terminal and get a Linux prompt - so I assume that means its rooted.
Wanting to get CWM.zip installed so I can go on to installing ICS and then on to JB.
Any ideas on how to get passed this roadblock?
Thanks
Carl

I'm going to recommend some threads that you should read. Some are old, but still have very good information. The first link will show you the basic, and help you go from stock Froyo to custom GB. Then you can use what you learn there and the install information from the ROM you want to install, and go to JB or ICS.
The other links will come in handy in case of a problem, but I recommend to read them because it's good info to learn. Hope this help you.

Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 not booting

So I have this Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0, GT-P3100 with Jellybeans 4.1.2. I recently rooted it using Kingroot. It worked fine until I tried installing a custom kernel. I installed unofficial miui v5.4 using CVM Recovery v6.0.7 I think. I clicked install from sd card and installed the .zip file. It said installed after a few mind. I then clicked reboot device now. It started booting and showed a new boot image, which I thought was normal. But the image wasn't fitting in the screen. I waited full 30 mins and it stayed there, a light coming and going as a logo. Nothing happened, so I pressed the key combination of power button + volume up button for 5 seconds and it started again, showing the new symbol. It has not booted after an hour and half.
Please help, I don't know what to do.
I admit I am a little new in this. But I saw a website to tomsguide.com and followed the steps with pictures.

So I think you flashed a incompatible Rom on your tab 2, well the only way to get it back booting is to try restoring it back to stock firmware, just Google how to restore tab 2 to stock, and follow the video on the channel droid cheats but yeah if you have got pretty fast internet and don't want to spend entire life downloading that 1GB file go the general discussion of the tab 2 7.0 forum here and scroll down you will find a thread named fast download link stock firmware I think it should be something like that and download the one made for p3100, want more help comment below

hello sir,
i know how to solve your problem.
the problem you are facing is a boot loop .i.e you get stuck in the boot logo
and your device never goes further.
the common reason is not clearing dalvik cache before flashing a new rom in recovery.
so now solve this problem follow these steps.
1. charge your device fully and go to recovery.
2. do the following-
do a factory data reset.
clear cache and go to advanced and clear dalvik cache.
now flash the kernel and rom and the gapps(if you have).
now reboot and see you will go through the boot logo .
HURRAY YOU HAVE SUCCESSFULLY FLASHED YOUR NEW ROM
NOTE: all the steps above are only to practice in CWM Recovery.
if you still have any problems let mw know.
thanks
