[Q] Bypass Android Pattern Lock on Galaxy Duos S6802 - General Questions and Answers

Hi Everyone,
A friend of mine gave me her recently deceased husband's phone to see if I can bypass the pattern lock so that she could save the data in it. I have been trying all sorts of things and I'm having no luck with it.
The phone is a Samsung Galaxy Duos S6802. I can't access it via adb and it does not have a custom recovery, just the stock android recovery. I have tried flashing the latest official rom hoping that would somehow disable the pattern lock but it didn't. I flashed iDuos Kernel by manoranjan2050 from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=33037765 but it still did not solve my problem. I tried to flash clockworkmod recovery via Odin but it failed.

Anyone seen something like this before? Or solutions to the no 4g problem as thats the root cause of all of this mess.
note: My IMEI is still in tact.
Back in the day I lost data and imei from flashing 4.2.2 roms
I would have to go back to stock to fix.
I would have this problem and I was clueless
For whatever reason I tired on my moms computer and it worked fine.
It was not a bad download either. I still use the same files to date.
Hope this works for you.
God bless the American people

Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. If it worked before it'll work again. Try different USB ports, the ones in the back of your PC, and cables. Odin can be finicky.

I read all the google search including Russian websites at-least but I couldn't find the issue
I have original cable
Solution
I know now the problem and the solution.
The problem: The flash memory on the mainboard is defect. This was the answer of Samsung Support Office.
The solution: The mainboard have to be replaced.
I am now in Turkey and here there is no N8020, but just a bad version (N8005) !!!
So, Samsung could not repair it for me. But I found everything I need for the repair on ifixit, also the board, BĀ“but I could not collect the money for that, so maybe I wait or sell it. Here in turkey no one want to buy it because the phones here have to be registered and this costs much of money. hmm

Go over to the S8+ sampawnd thread it's now locked but I'm sure there's something there that would help you in your situation. A lot of nonsense in there it's going to take some sifting through the junk but I'm sure you'll find your answer. Good luck...
Update .. solved
Problem solved. Disconnected phone from computer. Did a soft reboot power+volume down for about 20secs. Phone rebooted ok. Works ok.
