Go over to the S8+ sampawnd thread it's now locked but I'm sure there's something there that would help you in your situation. A lot of nonsense in there it's going to take some sifting through the junk but I'm sure you'll find your answer. Good luck...

Update .. solved
Problem solved. Disconnected phone from computer. Did a soft reboot power+volume down for about 20secs. Phone rebooted ok. Works ok.

Congrats. You have a paperweight. You need to find the Infuse 4G STOCK ROM better to check that devices forum.

Wow.
Sent from my SGH-T959V using XDA Premium App
and this is why i asked lol cause i read it just wanted to make sure that what i read was right lol thanks krylon and honk so i wasnt the only one that saw that
I've been flashing ROMs on phones for 6 years and this is a first.
The reseller I bought this thing from said it would take the Galaxy S ROMs. He will be getting a call tomorrow.
The Infuse forum had a ROM and I'm already back running.

it does take galaxy s roms so long as there made for your device nottttttttttt another device
lmfao!!!!!! epic fail, you've been trolled
I like how krylon360 was the first to facepalm, haha. :x
Good to know your phone is running again though. Next time, be sure to use the proper ROMs, or else you'll just get a really fancy paperweight.
In addition to that, make sure you do research before you believe anything a reseller says. They'll sometimes say anything to sell you.

I had the exact same problem and after digging around I found out that it was most likely because I had the option "Reactivation lock" (Under Security) on, after turning it off the CF-Auto-Root worked fine. I hope that helps.

SCH-i535 Soft-Bricked - No boot recovery, and unable to use Odin to flash

Hello, this is a bit embarrassing seeing as how this is my first post here on XDA.
My issue is that I rooted my 4.4.2 Verizon SCH-i535 galaxy s3 and I bricked it. I know, I was extremely stupid for trying to do this while half-awake at 2 in the morning LOL... but i ended up with a screen stating that "this device has detected a software not authorized by verizon wireless, please go to a branch to get help"
When I use Odin to try and flash any ROMs, this is the result:

Thanks for understanding and for helping to keep XDA neat and tidy!
Attempted to follow the guide here on my old Infuse to breathe some life back into it, but I can't get it to work. Installed the drivers through Kies, Odin detects my phone in yellow. I follow the guide to the letter, but after flashing 'reset' in blue and getting the green 'pass' my phone simply doesn't reboot, nor can I boot it manually. I've removed the battery a few times and it doesn't change the situation. I can still boot into download mode with no issue and have tried flashing a few times, but I'm having no success booting the phone after Odin is done, nor can I get into recovery mode.

I never tried this flash before, but I do have a couple questions before proceeding...
Is your phone AT&T or Rogers?
Are you able to get back into download mode (that is, by method of device fully turned off, holding down both Volume Buttons and inserting the USB cable)?

AT&T, the model is I997. I can still get into download mode, but I can't boot normally, nor into recovery mode (by holding volume up + volume down + power button; Samsung logo never appears). I used the included version of Odin with both the UCLB3_Unbrick_1.1.zip and UCLB3_Unbrick_root_1.1.zip files on the linked thread (I tried both).

I always recommend this one for AT&T (could never try it myself, as I was a Rogers user), but you may have more luck with this (option A or D).

Tried this a few times and it keeps failing. It'll get about 1/3 of the way there and then my computer will make the 'device disconnected' noise and Odin will fail. I left it in download mode, plugged in, without attempting the download to see if it was an issue with my cable or port, and it didn't disconnect...it seems to only be happening when I attempt to flash the md5.

For some reason option D is taking an unreasonable amount of time to download (it's been over an hour now), so I had initially skipped it and tried options A and C, with the same results. I'll report back once I am actually able to get option D downloaded.
Same problem with every option. Progress reaches about halfway, then fails.
