CM9 drains my battery! - Samsung Galaxy SL i9003

Hello,
I installed Dhiru's CyanogenMod 9 porting on my SL some time ago, and I noticed that the battery life (which was already pretty short) is significantly shorter than when I had the stock Gingerbread ROM.
I read that changing kernel might help, could you suggest me one? And could the launcher be draining too much (I'm using GO EX)?
Thank you in advance.

Battery Life Kernel MIUI 2.3.7 I9003!

Hi!
I'm zozoquete! and i have this question!
I want to know what's the best kernel for battery life on my i9003! I got MIUI 2.3.7 GingerBread, and my battery life it's around 8-9 hours without wifi!
And i saw several people that their batteries last for two days!
I got vurrutKer! so i want to know the best battery life kernel for I9003!
Thanks a lot!
I'd check your phone forum to find out. As far as MIUI versions, Galnet 2.2.10 gave me the best battery life and as I have a Motorola it was still on the stock kernel.
Really?! do you have the link to download the kernel?! How much time does your battery last?! and how much with wi fi activated?!
Can my I9003 support that galnet kernel?!
Thanks!!!
You don't need the kernel. Just see if there's a port of Galnet MIUI for your device. It's the most stable Rom I've run to date and had the best battery life as well.
If you want the galnet Rome check the galnet site. As their Roms are banned from XDA.

What do you mean that Galnet Rom is banned?! Is there a problem?! And with that Rom how much time the battery last?!

Galnet roms have been banned from XDA for a long time, I will not talk about why. As for the battery life. I couldnt say. I know better then running an MIUI rom no matter who it is from
I think that Rom stole private data?!
Another option for a Great Gingerbread MIUI with an awesome battery life?! 'Cause i tried SetCPU and it still the same!
Hey MissionImprobable can you give a link to that Galnet Rom for I9003?! Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaase! And someone tell me why was that Rom banned!
I had problems with the hashcode ROM, I switched to the Project Jandycane ROM and its been pretty good so far. Just flashed version 1.6 today.
I already stated that it will not be talked about about. You can find the galnet site with some searching.

The current custom rom give me about a day of battery.

look at the threads yourself all the jb roms are gonna be custom and they will explain the flashing process. there are also good guides on how to install a custom recovery in the dev thread
Thank you any suggestions on battery efficient ROMs

I have been using the Superlite CM10 JB ROM, v7.0 for a couple of weeks. It has a reputation for having an excellent battery life. For me, it is the first ROM (of many attempted) that doesn't result in daily crashes or SOD's.

Good luck.
based on my experience, Sky-JB is great, super smooth, on my advice, battery is quite amazing, you should stick to T7 versions, T10 base is good, but on my opinion, i'm really satisfied on T7 base, well overall is superb rom, fast smooth.

Flashing cyanogenmod 10 on nexus s.

hi,
I just got my nexus s and its running stock 4.1 got it through OTA update.
I have root my device and I just came across stable cynogenmod 10.
Now, i am in dilemma whether to sit back with official 4.1 or to flash cynogenmod 10.
plz help me out.
I want a sable software which is free from any bug or errors and also I have noticed the battery is not very impressive in 4.1 compared to my previous device Live with walkman.
Does flashing Cynogenmod 10 give me some good battery life.
why should I go for cynogenmod 10 ? What are its advantages ??
plz help me out with my query .
Thank you.

Advantages are more control over the hardware and other customization options but if you're happy with the stock then stick to it. I feel the CM version of JB4.2.1 drains your battery.

flash cm10 stable without changing kernels then you'll get a great battery life.

ROM suggestions pls

Hi everyone, my dad has the photon q on sprint. It has all the latest updates. It drains the battery pretty quickly. Can anyone suggest a ROM, I would prefer aosp based but open to stock based, that is easy to use and good on battery? Thanks everyone.
Stock is probably going to be the best for battery life.

Do you have any suggestions on a good stock based rom that has been debloated and has been optimized?

Unfortunately I only ran the stock ROM for a little while, and it was stock from Moto.
Fortunately Moto doesn't overly skin/theme stock phones so vanilla stock is actually quite pleasant compared to other OEM's.
CM 11 great battery life.

[REF] Best ROM/Kernel Thread

Most of you know that I'm the paladin of reporting to close threads like "What's the best ROM for this device?". Now, making this thread, I'm a big troll, I lost my fight. Peace bros [emoji111]
XDA is currently experiencing to allow questions and threads like this, everyone can write here his opinion about any ROM/Kernel and help someone that wants to know.
This rom is the best but i´m not going to tell which and the rest isn´t like that (I´m using AOSP)
Liquid smooth 3.2 is the most stable and customizable rom

I am on Sami OS for 2 months for now. I used 10.1 way back but I remembered it was similar to some stock if not better, then I used 11 for some time. I am not sure that I can compare it well now. And my battery is swollen. And I think 10.1 was better, but can't guarantee you.

Guys, you have tried a lot. Just try CM 10.1 once more and then compare.
Hey guys, I hear lot of you are going back to 2.3.6. Is it that good? CM11 is really fluid, but i'm tired of RIL instability. So I wonder is it worth going back? CM11 vs stock gingerbread?

No.
Use CM10.1 or a custom Sammy.
For me the best is the aospa developed by t4n017, smooth, stable and great battery drayn....
Sorry for my english...[emoji4] [emoji4]
For me the best is Vanir.
Another vanir user here. Been dirty flashing nightlys and haven't had a problem yet. Its quite stable for me, pretty quick too. Battery drain isn't too bad either.

Been on Vanir for 3 days and I'm very satisfied with my phone's performance. I'll just wait until the battery drain improves.
