Battery Life Kernel MIUI 2.3.7 I9003! - General Questions and Answers

Hi!
I'm zozoquete! and i have this question!
I want to know what's the best kernel for battery life on my i9003! I got MIUI 2.3.7 GingerBread, and my battery life it's around 8-9 hours without wifi!
And i saw several people that their batteries last for two days!
I got vurrutKer! so i want to know the best battery life kernel for I9003!
Thanks a lot!

I'd check your phone forum to find out. As far as MIUI versions, Galnet 2.2.10 gave me the best battery life and as I have a Motorola it was still on the stock kernel.

Really?! do you have the link to download the kernel?! How much time does your battery last?! and how much with wi fi activated?!
Can my I9003 support that galnet kernel?!
Thanks!!!

You don't need the kernel. Just see if there's a port of Galnet MIUI for your device. It's the most stable Rom I've run to date and had the best battery life as well.

If you want the galnet Rome check the galnet site. As their Roms are banned from XDA.

What do you mean that Galnet Rom is banned?! Is there a problem?! And with that Rom how much time the battery last?!

Galnet roms have been banned from XDA for a long time, I will not talk about why. As for the battery life. I couldnt say. I know better then running an MIUI rom no matter who it is from

I think that Rom stole private data?!
Another option for a Great Gingerbread MIUI with an awesome battery life?! 'Cause i tried SetCPU and it still the same!

Hey MissionImprobable can you give a link to that Galnet Rom for I9003?! Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaase! And someone tell me why was that Rom banned!

I had problems with the hashcode ROM, I switched to the Project Jandycane ROM and its been pretty good so far. Just flashed version 1.6 today.

I already stated that it will not be talked about about. You can find the galnet site with some searching.

[Q] New to Nexus S, any ROM recommendations

Just got a used Nexus S (i9020t) coming from a Vibrant. The number of AOSP based ROMS over here is very refreshing. Anyone have a recommendation for a 2.3.5 ROM that is stable, easy on battery, and fast? (Hey, I want all three). I've been running cm7 on my Vibrant, so I'm familiar with that. Is the last nightly stable? What about the Kanged versions? Should I be swapping out kernels?
Basically I'm looking for a solid ROM that I won't have to (or want to) mess with for a while. Thanks for any suggestions.

Try my rom. I just updated it 10 minutes ago. Fast and stable. If you're trying to save battery do an undervolt and lock the max speed to 800mhz.
Edit: ROM is called -=Nexus MV=-

Thanks for the reply and thanks for releasing a ROM. Will definitely check it out.

Try a CyanogenMod 7 kang from Simms22 (you can get them on the CM7 Nightly thread): http://fitsnugly.euroskank.com/gigg...cm-7.1.0-RC1-NS-KANG-signed.09142011-0558.zip
Flash the Google Apps package: http://goo-inside.me/gapps/gapps-gb-20110729-signed.zip
Use the Trinity TUV kernel (it's broken at the moment, use this build from the 11th): http://morfic.euroskank.com/NS/TUV-Any-NS+4G-11092011.zip
CM7 is just... amazing. Use this for speed and very good battery.
I would recommend cm7 miui and Peter Alfonso. All very good roms. In my opinion Pete's rom has the best battery life but try them all and see what u like best. What works good for me may not work for u lol. Just try all the roms people on here said and see what works best for u

Im using CM7 ...but it is very disspointing me because of the battery..
just last for 10 hours..
I've been running Formels MIUI, it's on the devs forum here on the Nexus S, it seems to be stable compared to the stock MIUI and battery is better.
Still, I'm also looking for a Rom that improves the camera, recording still isn't as good as I wanted and sometimes I get the random freeze&reboot....

[Q] BEST ICS ROM FOR NEXUS S(i9020/i9023)

Hello ,
I have a Nexus S i 9023 and i have installed many different ROMs but I don't know which is the best . Please inform me about your opinion.
I am talking about ICS Roms and you can also post benchmarks to help me deside.
Now istalling GummyNex 0.7.7 I Will tell you what I think of it. Achter installimg of course. But it should have a lot of tweaks hand stuff!!

I think KANGY11 is the best. I've tried many but that one beats everthing. Try it with Glados 2.9 and you will have a excellent batterylife!

CyberGRv7 ICS Rom is MINT!!
I'd say CyberGR's v7 as well, have it on my own nexus, works like a charm
15½ hours on battery , still 74% battery left.
I'm agree. I use CyberGR V7. It's a great ROM. I've tested some another, but I have great battery/perf/functions with CyberGR.
I really like CyberGR v7. Has been pretty stable (I have not experienced any reboots or FCs), really fast and good battery life.

Have you upgraded to Apex 1.0.2 yet? I tried, but after flashing my wifi worked great but 3G would not connect.
It's hard to say "this ROM is best!" for anyone, it depends what your looking for in a ROM. If battery life is your main concern, I'd second CyberGR v7.
Performance? Personally I like Codename Android with matr1x kernel (mainly because of 1.46Ghz OC.)
Bugless petes for best of everything!

I'd give my vote to CyanogenMod 9 (v3.4 atm). Get it from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1399035. I used to use MIUI but switched to CM when ICS came out and have still not found a reason to search any further.
I've gone from CyberGR v7 to Oodie's MIUI and now on nuhetri v2.3.0.
I think MIUI is still a bit laggy, but it's coming through fast.
Nuhetri is working pretty good for me. A would still need to check battery life on it, but it's pretty fast!
Nuhetri or cna v1.4.0 ! I have cna atm with air kernel 3.3 overclocked to 1400mhz. soooo smooth! And batterylife is pretty good

Which rom are you talking about?
The best rom so far is cybergr with air kernel. Great battery and no lag

Hard to say which ROM is the best because they all have their pluses and minuses. Same can be said for kernels; each kernel will perform differently according to which ROM you choose. I'd suggest reading through the ROM ops and selecting the one you like based on features and theme. Once you've found a ROM you like, flash several different kernels to find one that is most compatible (also doesn't hurt to read kernel ops as well for feature details). This process, although a little more time consuming, will likely give you better results than relying on the objective opinion of others. Also, bedalas compiled some awesome reference guides on on room and kernel performance that's a must read for anyone looking to get the most out of their device.
You without me is like Harold Melvin without the Blue Notes

[Q] Best Functioning 4.0.4 ROM?

which ROM so far works the best??
as far as performance, apps working and force closing..
I´m on the latest CM9 nightly and it works perfect for me,fast, smooth and stable, the battery life is also fine,up to 2 days with no OC and no games.Give it a try
You might want to check bedalus work on bechmarking ICS ROMs. As of now, I am using MIUI Stuff Crusted and it's working great (I'll probably going to test it a few more days, since I flashed it two days ago).
I'm using CyberGr's ICS Roms and it's awesome. Don't trust the synthetic tests, they are not the best way to judge a rom (although useful to some extent).
i am also would voute for cybergr's rom, really sweet.
i would like to recommand codename android i had all versions since 1.2.0 all worked perfect except 1.5.5 that had a problem editing APN's which solved in 1.6.0.
CNA also get updated really quickly.
I am using PixelRom 1.70 + AirKernel V3.7. So far most stable with no reboots.
I would say CM9 or AOSP+
4.0.4....

+1 for CyberGR
Really appreciate the forethought that went into the mods

Oxygen 2.3.2 is the most stable ROM I've ever used. I moved to CM9 kang a lil time ago but even that isn't as stable.
Check out Carbon Or Nexbreed is good too
Try Brainmaster's MIUI, it's a really nice rom, smooth and stable

Add another vote for Oxygen. Blandroid and Bugless Beast are also stock with a little more out of the box.
I'm usually partial to Peter Alfonso's ROMs, though I'm trying out CM9 at the moment.
You can dowload the 12-17 GB ROM here. I ran it for a long time and really liked it. Not a lot of bells and whistles, but VERY stable.
EDIT: Since you're on the 4G, and I don't know which would be best to flash, I'd just go to his download site and grab the latest. I'd imagine the 4G version is just as good as the 3G one.
Oxygen 2.3.2!

is there any ICS ROM which is more stable than the ICS stock ?

I have OTA to ICS now. The battery is better..much better.. I would like to know if there are any ICS ROMs out there which are more stable than this stock ICS.. stable as in battery life...

You could always look at some build.prop tweaks even on a custom ROM based on ICS, or follow some (or most) of the suggestions I outline in my battery guide. As far as a specific ROM that is better on battery life, I'd say wait until the dev team's CM10 (Jim, alteredlikeness, et. al.) is finished and try that one out for yourself. I can attest that on my SGS3, running CM10, I am getting anywhere from 20-26 hours between charges.I'd have to acquiesce that the same expectations are not without reason with Jim's and the rest of the development team's CM will be comparable in this regard...
