Hey guys
I just installed JB 4.2.2 AOKP - R5.0. Everything seems to work fine except auto rotation. Any quick way to fix this? Maybe a setting I'm missing?
Peace

Why do you keep referring people to the help thread? Surely they can ask questions here too - this is the Q&A section after all.
As for the OP, the auto-rotate problem is a bug in the rom so I don't think there's much you can do other than wait for a fix by blindndumb. As a workaround/alternative you can try an app like Ultimate Rotation Control
Edit: Auto-rotate does seems to work for some, perhaps a clean flash might fix it

the reason why I refer people to the help thread is because jugg1es created the thread so that people can get answers more quickly. There are also more professionals there. Not that I am denying anyone to post in the Q&A section, but jugg1es created the thread so that there won't be people asking the same question over and over again.

Please when asking a question, give as much info as you can. What rom youre running including version. make sure you have done a full wipe (data/cache/dalvik) before installing said rom. and also please do a little bit of searching first. I found that your problem was fixed in this version of VU in about 30secs of searching.

this is an outdated version of virtuous unity. i'm on version 2.39.
There is a Q&A thread for the Virtuous Unity ROM where this question should be asked. This isn't even the Q&A section. It is the General section.
And most likely this has already been answered in the Q&A thread or in the Dev's thread.
Agreed please post in the correct section.

Hey guys,
I installed this ROM last week and the only problem I noticed is that the camera force closes when I try to record video. Does anyone know if build 15 fixes this problem? I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to all of this ROM-stuff and I did not want to jeopardize my current installation and install the new build only to find out that it doesn't help fix this problem.
Or if anyone has a workaround, I would appreciate any help.
Thanks!
You may have better luck asking in the corresponding ROM's thread.

Yeah, that was the first thing I tried, but I have less than 10 posts and it won't let me.
1. this is general...not q&a where questions belong
2. there is a sticky in said q&a section for that rom, and you don't need 10 posts to post there.

Hey MJ, I think this can be discussed over ardatdat thread.. @NewbieGalaxyR: buddy you can ask whatever problem is coming to your device due to Devs development. so please ask to Ardatdat thread for kernel.
Reported to Justin for this thread.
First of all this issues should be posted to kernel thread there is no need to create whole new topic for just a single issue.
Btw have u wiped data from CWM before flashing ardatdat kernel?
Try to boot in recovery mod if u r unable to boot in recovery than there are chances that its a brick.
If ur phone is booting in recovery mod than DONT RESTORE CWM BACKUP. U are having stock kernel and restoring nand backup is dangerous.
I suggest to donwload official ICS (from sammobile, see dev section for links) and flash it through Odin, than flash CWM and flash ardatdat kernel it will work fine.

There are lot of threads regarding these that how to be new user and not a noob. (like one made by mf in my sig) also we have sticky made by cooleagle regarding where to post. New users should read it first before posting.

This is okay guys. I'm happy with either:
a) a thread in General asking the question; or
b) a post in the respective thread.
In my ideal world, the kernel thread itself would contain nothing but the initial release and changelogs, and be closed after two posts (meaning people could only 'thank' the release, not post their thanks). All other discussion/praise/moaning/bug reports would be in a kernel Q&A thread in here, with one for each kernel/ROM available.
So I don't really mind seeing new topics for questions, so long as they are questions which haven't been answered time-and-time again.
Thanks for the heads-up and diligence though, I appreciate it greatly
Justin
Thank you Justin the way you are handling this Forum is really great....
@NewbieGalaxyR please make sure from next time you follow the XDA Rules...

Hello,
Pls can can someone suggest the best rom for me.
I downloaded a rom (pa_saga-2.51-26OCT2012-103713 True HybridMode) I love the interface of this rom but i'm having some issues with it. 1. I can find apps like FM Radio, voice recorder,Youtube, and some other apps i'm familiar with on the ICS even some other custom roms like Desire XS. 2. My wifi does not work, its turns on but wont detect a network(My pc network using connectify) 3. The front camera force close the camera (Whenever i reopen the camera, it says 'Unfortunatelly gallery has stopped' Also seems the network is not stable as i get a blank network for \a long time.
....
I love this rom cos it looks like the nexus'
....
Anyone knows the best rom for me with dos stuffs?
Thanks

Wrong section, I'm afraid. This is for posting roms, kernels etc. Your thread is a question, so it belongs in the q&a section.

Pardon me pls.. How do i delete the thread?
ear deveshmanish.iam useing ROM CM10.1.2 Stable Release[UNOFFICIAL] UPDATED July 14 right now.
Video cant not work on 1080p mode. Can U fix that in next version?
First - Show little respect for developers & forum! Creating empty threads & even if it in GENERAL leads to thread locked/deleted.
Second - Creating threads about ROM problem will not help it solved... Pst it in ROM thread.
Third - Your probem is already known in all custom ROM's, so it can't be solved for now...
I suggest you read forum rules...

At least you can show a little respect... our devs are working very hard to keep the a2 alive ...give them some time to resolve matters... and dont make a seperate thread just to ask the devs to fix a bug ...it really irritates them... please keep the a2 forum clean...stop posting like this even if your new...
