Samsung Captivate running teamhacksung's CM9 ALPHA for Captivate (BUILD 14) - Captivate General

Hey guys,
I installed this ROM last week and the only problem I noticed is that the camera force closes when I try to record video. Does anyone know if build 15 fixes this problem? I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to all of this ROM-stuff and I did not want to jeopardize my current installation and install the new build only to find out that it doesn't help fix this problem.
Or if anyone has a workaround, I would appreciate any help.
Thanks!

You may have better luck asking in the corresponding ROM's thread.

Yeah, that was the first thing I tried, but I have less than 10 posts and it won't let me.

1. this is general...not q&a where questions belong
2. there is a sticky in said q&a section for that rom, and you don't need 10 posts to post there.

[Q] Cyanogenmod 7 for the samsung galaxy ace

since i am not yet allowed to post in the developer section of the xda-developers forum, i wanted to ask my question here. since one of the first builds of cyanogenmod for the galaxy ace appeared, i had installed it.
the installation went fine, but seeing as though the proximity meter did not work, wifi had some problems, and multiple apps were randomly crashing from time to time, i was forced to fall back to the stock android.
since then a couple of new nightlies came out for this phone (one of them is rather recently released). the official thread is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1543521 .
what i wanted to ask is if there is anyone out there that tried the latest nightly build, to confirm the problems i named above are all solved.
the second question i had is, if i have a galaxy ace with baseband version xwks2, can i just flash a rom with baseband ks9 on it for example?
any help would be greatly appreciated, and i would like to apologise i could not leave a comment in an existing thread.
go to cwr and wipe date, wipe cache again, it's may have some wrong when you install this rom ?
but i think cm7 on galaxy ace is not work well, you can try myth, i thinks it's best rom for galaxy ace
sorry for my bad Eng
will do
thanks a lot there nicknayemclone ,
i have alreadyy tried wiping the cache and dalvik and everything, but the problem keeps occuring. the annoying thing is, if i use the stock android i also have slight lags(same thing when i just bought it). i have heard about myth, but i would like my rom to be as close to vanilla android 2.3 as i can get . myth seems like its to hard on my phone to run as smooth as cyanogenmod

[Q] How to get Samsung Infuse 4G to New touchwiz 4.5

Hey
you guys whats up! I have been trying to get my Samsung Infuse 4G to touch-wiz 4.5. I recently saw this post and wanted to seriously upgrade. I am not stupid I know how to use an apk file and just install on my phone however, every time I try to install it won't install!!! at first i thought it was because I was trying to install a pack but I corrected myself and found another file. But, even then it didn't work. I am currently using Android 2.3.6 and I was wondering if you guys could kind of elaborate on it see what the problem is?
Sincerely Boricua

If you would have TouchWiz 4.5 you must set the theme with it. Of course if the theme is ported to your model/ROM.

[Q] Wi-fi not working after last nightly (10/12)

Hi guys, my wi-fi is not working after the last nightly (10/12)... Any suggestions? Thanks
Flash boot.img using fastboot. BTW there is a CM10 discussion thread in general there might be some nuggets there on the last 10 pages.
Thanks, you saved my day. Anybody knows why they didn't release new nightlies?
There was a problem with something, affecting other devices to. Sorry that's not very helpful lol But there is a fix committed so will hopefully be back on track soon. Fipsib linked to the fixed commit, I think it's in the last few pages if the CM10 thread in development section.

[Q] No update button nexus 7 2012

So first off I have never posted something on a forum before, so if i'm posting this in the wrong place or something please feel free to move it to the right place or whatever. Are you supposed to even create a new thread for a question?
Anyways, I have a 2012 nexus 7. When I go into the the about tablet theres no update button/check for update button. i'm on 4.2.2 and i've heard android 4.3 fixes the lagginess of the device. My nexus 7 is unlocked, rooted, and running AOPK. I think AOPK might be the problem, but otherwise I have absolutely no idea why the update button isn't there.
Also, I know virtually nothing about android, so if anyone has solutions, basic step by step instructions and explain any advanced terminology.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
And I guess I i'm breaking the rules by posting this here according to the button below, sorry, I have no idea how to use a forum. But I would assume a moderator can move the thread.
Thanks.

[Q] Switching from Mazel II to GB or any other STABLE ROM. Kindly advice

HI everyone
Have been using Mazel II ROM for a bit. Have been facing a peculiar problem. while in stand by state I have noticed that calls sometimes (very random) do get through. Person calling gets all the normal rings but I do not receive the calls. Also games stutter after switching over from GB
Really irritating. I was planning to switch over to stock GB ROM. Kindly suggest which ROM should I go in for ??
Also what should be the ideal method to so. I read in the FAQ's that I should flash a stock GB/ICS ROM according to me requirements through ODIN but an user was facing an issue with the same mentioned in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1884872&highlight=downgrade. This has left me confused & therefore had to create this thread.
Thanks
P.S. Kindly do suggest a STABLE ROM. Nothing else as such is a priority apart from it.

I have searched around quite a bit and could not find a single straightforward reply. Most of them end with the device ending in bootloops. I suppose this topic i.e. How to switch over from ICS to GB safely must made sticky as well & that would help a lot of users here.
Hope that solves the issue. Any help would be appreciated though

OK try this..
1. Flash GB using Odin.
2. Boot into recovery.
3. Wipe data, cache & dalvik.
4. reboot.
