I did this for a person in the Homescreen-Threads, but thought You're possibly also interested in this (pics of finished Homescreens below):
First You need the Hubs Widget-App I got from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=33292864
This app is saving a lot of time since earlier You needed to set up every row from the left bar as a minimalistic text widget.
After installing ADW first go into settings and activate "widget overlapping" and a option named something like "auto expand". When You want You can also disable the action bar (so that there's no more free space above). Then set up how much rows You want to have. The app above only supports 8 rows, You can expand this number by adding some Minimalistic text-widget but You don't really need it. I chose 8 rows with one of them as invisible hub (a bit secure since You don't see it in left bar)
Then press longer at a free space on Your homescreen and add a "individual shortcut" (I'm German so I don't know the english name exactly). Choose the screen to jump on when You click on this shortcut. Then delete the text "screen x" and change the icon to any image transparent You have to download before.

You will have an invisible shortcut on the upper left then. I recommend to also set up a "shortcut" to the page You are on because: When You create the 2nd shortcut on a page it will automatically be under the one before. When You got 8 hubs to set up set them up in this order: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8
This is the thing needing most time (about 7 minutes per Homescreen)
Then the shortcuts should be all right positioned. If You did test this add the installed "hubs widget" to the homescreen, name the hubs and choose the color when activated. (You can also set up this later.) Resize the widget to 8x2
Next step: overlap the widget exactly about the screen jumping-shortcut. So, that You can tap on hub 2 to jump to screen 2 etc. (Understandable up to here?) If this did work You can continue:
Download any multi picture wallpaper-app like "go multiple wallpaper". This only supports up to 7 wallpapers so I've choosed to use the same wallpaper as for home for my "secret" hub. Multipicture wallpaper didn't work for me.
Set this multiwallpaper-app as wallpaper and go into settings while this. There add the 7 wallpapers in the order You want them to have.
That's it. You should have finished now.

When You want to save all this work You could also lose Nova Launcher but i prefer ADW, even if this is more work.

I used "Go Multiple Wallpaper" since "Multipicture Wallpaper" didn't work for me. It's not the best solution because it only supports up to 7 wallpapers (#1 will be the same like #8 otherwise). When You find a better one please tell me

Hi. I actually donwloaded the last version of that app and allows more than 8 screeens. Just need to config the screens then hold click on the screen then change wallpaper -> live wallpaper -> select multipicture -> u have on it setting and otpion like setting screen 1 then you click on "plus" sign netxt to it to add one more screen config and so on to all your screens and can put a folder of images to one screen or just one picture

What version of ADW are you using to be able to get the hub to the edge of the screen? I have the newest and it doesn't allow you to place anything that far over.

I used the newest ADW ex-Version from play store. Long press screen and tap "resize screen" for this.

This is a basic public awareness notice: What LCD density does and its drawbacks (the why it does what it does is not addressed b/c I have no clue).
We've all seen or heard about changing the lcd density property in /system/build.prop (and why it is better to edit this through the text editor via root explorer rather than use an app which is shown to be unstable). However, as most of us who have messed with it along with additional rows and columns on the home screens via Launcher Pro and ADW, the big problem is icon overlap or crowding.
Why is this?
I'm still trying to figure out how exactly a LOWER value of LCD Density results in a DENSER display. It doesn't make sense to me. However, it is inescapably linked to letting android keep a 4x4 display as SQUARES for each icon "block". Decrease the # and those squares get tighter width-wise. I'm just not certain then how it works with varying the # of rows and columns.
HOWEVER, in order to prevent overlap, the screen NEEDS to be in 4x4 with an LCD density of 240. That is, to keep the blocks square.
Otherwise, prepare to tweak and fiddle with your homescreens so your icons and icon text don't resemble scrambled mush, and what looks good in portrait won't necessarilly look good or the widgets won't be the same size in landscape. And vice versa.
So, like many other things, fiddling with this property (while cool.... I've finally settled for an lcd density of 210 with homescreens rocking in 6x6 using launcher pro plus) there are trade-offs.
Be aware, and have fun tweaking your settings.
Have you found anyway to avoid the slight blurring of Ui elements when not set to the default density?
I also tried 6x6 with 210 running LPP but my widgets (beautiful Weather, Switch Pro) wouldn't stretch the width of the screen.
I'm back to 4x7 which looks the best, but that doesn't make sense to me either!
EDIT - I have landscape mode disabled because it lags on LPP at the moment. I also don't have text displayed for my icons so if I could just get everything to line up correctly, I don't think the overlap would be that bad. I just can't figure out why the widgets don't stretch (I do have auto-fit checked).

Finally found it. Searching for battstat is no joy, but searching for battstatt returns the app. The search feature in the market is seriously jacked in that way. A regular google search does its job, but google's market app doesn't? wtf google?

Okay...perhaps I should have been more specific. It doesn't work for me. Im glad it works for you but I have tried and tried and cannot get widgets to stretch the width of the screen if I have more than four columns.

You do have Launcher Pro Plus right?? (Just checking because you can only do it with the paid version)
To be able to stretch it.. you have to press and hold it like you are going to remove it.. then release it. The widget will then be highlighted and at the bottom right of the highlighted widget.. you will see an area for you to drag and resize the widget. After you have resized it, press the back or home button.
Thank you for clarifying...it worked! I feel dumb for not trying that begot so I appreciate it! My dimensions are now 5 x 7. Im going to have to experiment and see what kind of dimensions work best. What are you using?

I'm actually at 5x6
You know.. I just played around with the homescreen rows and columns and I have come to find that... 5x10 is pretty good!! (That's 5 columns x 10 rows)
Yes you have the possibility to overlap... but the row alignment are so small... that you can easily move the widget up one and it looks it would on a 4x4

Here's a quick write up on how it was achieved.
Transitioning Wallpaper was made using this:

I created a folder for each "hub" containing appropriate wallpapers (ex. music, games, home etc.) and used the app to point individual screens to individual folders. I've changed the settings to rotate the wallpapers every 5 seconds and change upon double tap.
The "quick view" section on my "Home Hub" was achieved using minimalistic text and just expanded the dark background, overlapping the "weather" widget (beautiful widget>weather forecast)

sure. I'm using ADW EX with a 10x10 grid. I turned off all transitions as they seem to lag the screen a tiny bit. Those black bars were created using minimalistic text background and stretched to overlap the icons/widget.
So it could (in theory) work with normal ADW, but mod the backup file for 10x10
Using ADW EX for my honeycomb layout, and this would be a nice change. Ill try it out asap and post screens
And is it possibly for you to post your wallpapers you used? Just to get the size right and have a base to work from

I don't understand how you expanded the dark background of on widget over another. I try and I just get the red shaded area showing me I can't do it. Please explain?

What launcher are you using? Maybe it doesn't allow you to overlap over other widgets

VTLauncher its based off of ADW.
Update: after installing ADW EX there is a setting that enables widget overlap. Hopefully that helps others as well.

Hi All Hubs Fans,
I'm newbie in Android, going to get galaxy tab plus in 3 day later but i still deciding shall i go for 7.0", 8.9" or 10.1" size? My country "Asia" Galaxy tab 7.0" plus came with phone call function and i prefer 7.0" instead of other because of the phone call function. But problem is did those Hubs software support 7.0" and i wonder how it look like seem the screen are smaller. I try search Google, Xda and Youtube, no single clue on it.
If anyone did apply Hubs over Galaxy Tab 7 plus, please share your screenshot and advise here.

I just bought the Samsung galaxy note 10.1 and I love it. Im having problems setting a picture of my family as my desktop picture. Its zoomed in and can't see the whole picture. Am I doing something wrong?

The image is too large. Change the size to 1200 x 800 pixels and you should be able to see most of it (I had to reduce the dpi settings on my current wallpaper to be able to use the entire image).
Make a picture that is 3 times as large as the image you want to use that is kind of plain or like a frame then paste your image into the center of that and put the results on your GNote10. Use gallary to crop the image to the size you want to use and your finished.
Set your wallpaper fullscreen is best to use a app call "Multipicture live wallpaper" Here is how it looks...

MEH, note display doesn.t work with multi wallpaper, only one shows on all.
I would be truly happy if it can be used without another launcher, or if somebody can show me to an app that allows multiple wallpapers for each desktop on stock note 10.1.
I searched my @ss off but no luck sofar.

You are correct it doesn't fully work on Note 10.1.... I forgot about that.. I was doing a hub ui when I noticed this a few weeks back..

You can set your wallpaper with QuickPic, there's a function to use it with full size.

Am I missing something here...you can select which part of the image you want to use as a background image right? So..just select the 'right' part of the image and you should be fine?

Well, on my Phone it has worked this way. Sorry for confusing.
...This Is How I Set My Wallpapers With No Problems On Stock...
-Go into System settings>Display>wallpapers>Homescreen...
-Some options might pop up and click "com.sec.android."
-Find the image you want to use...
-A pop up might show.. click "com.sec.android.gallery3d"
-Resize it to what you want to crop...
-Click done...Bam U All Set....:victory:

u can also try multipicture livewallpaper
I was struggling with similar issue - any custom image, even with really high resolution was looking way worse than the sock wallpapers.
When you are setting custom image to wallpaper from gallery, you need to crop it so it fits your screen vertically and horizontally.
Yesterday I've found this app: Image 2 Live Wallpaper and it solved my problem. Here are few sample screenshots:

For suggestions, maybe we could be able to set the way that time is displayed (24 Hour Clock or 12 Hour Clock) or just auto detect which one the android system is using. I can see by your screen shots that you use 24 hour

definitely a resolution bug, if i remember correctly Nexus 7 wallpapers are 1280x1600 so i should resize it

thanks for your suggestion, i was thinking to use 24hour format because is easier to use while writing code but it's not a problem to change the user interface and about the UI I've used a library that replicates google card ui so i should investigate and solve this bug.. or contact the library developer

does anyone know how to have back DELETE button in notifications?
In settings I have found now two options:
1. Show archive, delte or both in buttun bar
2. Enable Swipe to xxxx
where in option 2 xxx changes depending on the value for option 1:
- if 1 = archive then xxx = archive
- if 1 = delete then xxx = delete
- if 1 = both then xxx = archive (!!!)
The above makes no snese at all....

Who the hell made the decision to move the navigation bar to the top?! I want to be able to use my smartphone one-handed (especially as I am a Note 2 user ).
This really is ridiculous. And a big step backwards (at least for me).
Has anyone been able to get the newest version into dual panel/tablet mode using PA hybrid settings or similar? I've tried everything and it won't change to dual panel. Every previous version worked perfectly fine.

Just got the update from Play Store.
But there's one thing i don't get:
So now the contact pictures have a more important role in the app and I noticed that although my contacts' pictures appear fine, my own contact picture (which appears fine on the web interface or in hangouts app) doesn't appear.
I found someone with a similar problem but with no real solution: Link
The only workaround I found was to tap on the place of my picture and add MYSELF to MY CONTACTS and add the same picture to it from gallery. Looks quite silly to me. Anyone?
I can't stand that update. A quick access to delete button is mandatory. I also don't like tpo have those big squares with letters at the left of screen. Is any way to remove them?

To quickly access delete button.
1.Go to settings.
2.Select General Settings.
3.Tap on Archive & Delete.
4.You will get three options Archive only, Delete only and Archive and Delete.
5.Choose the third option i.e Archive & Delete.
To turn off images (big squares with letters).
1.Go to settings.
2.Select General Settings.
3.Uncheck the box labeled 'Sender Image'.

I agree. Even I want to get the navigation bar on the bottom of the app. Any ideas for how to do it? Any devs worked on it?
BTW this is what is shown on gmail website. The nav bar is on the bottom.
