Root 2.20

I'm still a noob when it comes to the HTC one x. Is there a root exploit that I have missed for 2.20 possibly or is it like the bootloader, still waiting on the release from HTC?

And no, no root for 2.2 has been made available........ yet.

Someone will correct me if I'm wrong but I believe we're still out of luck on that. Unless you updated to 2.20 from 1.85 with superCID. Thats the only work around to my knowledge.

Doesnt HTC have to let us root within 90-120 days from release?

Ahulab- yes you are correct there or if you were previously unlocked(supercid hand in hand obviously) you could unlock using your original token instead of having to regenerate another

Any updates on the Unlocking of the Bootloader or the Root Access for 2.20? I did not koww about this before purchasing the AT&T HTC One X.....very disappointed but if it is just a matter of time then i can wait, not sure how it normally goes for these things??

At&t HTC One X Rear Camera not working

Sir,
I am in deep trouble and not able to find a solution anywhere. I have AT&T HTC ONE X with following specs:
android version is 4.0.4
Sense version is 4.0
Software number is 2.20.502.7 710RD
SDK 4.23
Extension version 4.3_1_GA_20
Kernel 3.0.8-01558-g7f5e5b [email protected]#1 SMP PREEMPT
Baseband 0.19as.32.09.11_2_110.105.32.25L
Build number 2.20.502.7
Browser version Webkit/534.30
My rear camera is just nor working.
When I switch on the cam, it automatically goes to front cam.
Did a hard reset and also reinstallation of RUU 2.20
Pls guide me , how to get my camera working

Try going into the camera app, then hitting the menu button. After that tap the "camera" option and switch it to main.

That's what I'm sayin', they are all over the place!

So why don't we do what xda does best and start flaming this guy...... But maybe he has a REALLY bad studder that carries over to here and we need to be considerate of his disability

Sir, I dont have any intention of spamming this wonderful blog.
I am just worried about my phone which is carrying a brilliant camera but not functional.
And that is why I am seeking help from you seniors.

if flashing the ruu didn't fix it nothing anyone else can tell you that will fix it. you will most likely have to send your phone in for warranty.

Well you are spamming, you only make it harder for yourself !!! Now you have to keep track of like 5 or even 6 threads to get your answer. I gave you the answer already in one of your threads ( can't even remember which one :banghead: ) YOUR BOOTLOADER IS LOCKED GO BACK TO THE STORE

[Q] S-off on htc one XL ???

hi dear friends I have a dude, I was reading the htc one x intertational version forum and they said that is so hard to get the S-off because the Nvidia has a lot of restrictions, so my question is ..our htc one xl with snapdragon s4 is so hard too??? why not appear the S-off or nobody is working on this?

Its being worked on. It doesn't magically happen, some of it is diligence, some of it is luck. HTC doesn't want us to have S-Off, so its not like they made it easy.

sorry friends my english is not perfect for now, i from peru and spanish is my language, anyway, what i meant is i have a doubt, in conclusion i wanted to know if snapdragon is so hard to get s-off than nvidia tegra 3 ??

It's so easy even a spanish caveman can do it!

I may be wrong ...but its not dependent on the processors...HTC makes it very very hard( think 1000000 x harder than your hardest test you've took) to get s off because they don't want it...we can usually find where theflag is but to crack it is another story that requires incredible amount of intelligence and luck like redpoint said.... There is and never will be a time frame for it just whemeve its figured out its figured out and us not having an sd card isn't really helping us

Probably not. Took us until just a couple weeks ago to finally get 4.1.1, doubt we'll get anymore updates.

The non-carrier versions will get it and then we'll have a port. I doubt officially we'll get it.

well, no offense to the guy you are talking about.... but newt said quite a while back that he is working on it, and that there are still some sizing issues. My support is for newt's build, as he is quite experienced in this (after all he gave us our first working sense 4+ jb build). So wait patiently for newt to do his thing. I can imagine that things are blowing up in the dna forums right now so give him some time.

All we have to do is just wait that's pretty much all we can do.the devs are hard at work on trying to port roms and such so as a result we just have to wait patiently. As for me though I'm still waiting on a root method for the new firmware ota jellybean update lol I'm currently stuck on stock ota 4.1.1 so I'm sure when a sense 5 port becomes available they'll be a root method for the new update by then
