Sir, I dont have any intention of spamming this wonderful blog.
I am just worried about my phone which is carrying a brilliant camera but not functional.
And that is why I am seeking help from you seniors.

if flashing the ruu didn't fix it nothing anyone else can tell you that will fix it. you will most likely have to send your phone in for warranty.

I dnt kw , if this would help or not, but this problem started after uninstallation of one of the camera oriented apps installed from the market itself
If you already successfully used the ruu and it still is not working, it needs to be replaced. Maybe last ditch effort would be to re-install the app you think caused the problem after the uninstall.

I dont feel that it a hardware fault at all.
As i dint dropped that phone or some thing like that.
As per my knowledge it needs to be sorted through software only.
But how, for that I need seniors guidance.

You didn't have root or anything right and didn't go depleting stuff with root browser right? Lol
If you already tried the ruu, your on
2.20 you need to bring it in for repair/replacement. Theres no better "software" fix than that.

Sorry bro. I dont have much of the info what you are saying, that is the only reason I have given you all the tech specs.
Though I tried to root the device, but later I learnt that 2.20 can not be rooted.
The reason for rooting the device was that I was not able to turn my device as hotspot.
Which I did with Foxfi anyhow.

[Q] HBOOT 1.09 and s-on JB INSTAL

Hello,
I have looked around to understand JB install onto my ATT htc one x with HBOOT-1.09, S-ON. I am coming from cleanrom 5.1 (ICS). i KNOW ITS A noob QUESTION,. any kind of guidance would be helpful. Also any video tutorial around for installing JB into similar config. htc one x? is It similar to copying onto the sd card and from the recovery(TWRP) clear cache and install?(similar to one we followed for ICS?). If not any links for steps to follow would be very helpful.
Thanks.
Find the JB ROM you want
Put it in the sdcard
Wipe data/factory reset
Install and enjoy

Hello,
I had confusion because so many threads were talking about H boot versions and how to go about it. I am just surprised how can it be so simple for me and for others so complex...I am planning to put RENOVATE 13.2.1 | Jelly-Bean | 3.14.401.31 | Sense 4+ | Stock look or Themed.... It will be same procedure right?. Sorry for repeated question as I don't want to brick my phone.
Thanks

Its been long time since I visited the forum. and when i did I see two sections " android development and android original " I dont understand whats the difference between the two.. also Most of the Roms description don't include any mention on quad core /ATT compatible. If Renovate is a quad core compatible.. then its a wrong ROM for me..
Never mind I guess it's just another close call due to htc naming 2 different phones 2 closely

[Q] S-off on htc one XL ???

hi dear friends I have a dude, I was reading the htc one x intertational version forum and they said that is so hard to get the S-off because the Nvidia has a lot of restrictions, so my question is ..our htc one xl with snapdragon s4 is so hard too??? why not appear the S-off or nobody is working on this?
If you have a look in the development section you'll see there's a thread devoted to this topic. It's a work in progress.

Its being worked on. It doesn't magically happen, some of it is diligence, some of it is luck. HTC doesn't want us to have S-Off, so its not like they made it easy.

sorry friends my english is not perfect for now, i from peru and spanish is my language, anyway, what i meant is i have a doubt, in conclusion i wanted to know if snapdragon is so hard to get s-off than nvidia tegra 3 ??
It's so easy even a spanish caveman can do it!
I may be wrong ...but its not dependent on the processors...HTC makes it very very hard( think 1000000 x harder than your hardest test you've took) to get s off because they don't want it...we can usually find where theflag is but to crack it is another story that requires incredible amount of intelligence and luck like redpoint said.... There is and never will be a time frame for it just whemeve its figured out its figured out and us not having an sd card isn't really helping us

[Q] is anyone working on an exploit to the write protection for hboot 2.15

greetings all.
this post is just in regards to the new write protect some of us have been stuck on for a few months now, just seeing is anybody is working on an exploit? or if there may be another work around for the system read only/write protection problem.
p.s. I'm using the HTC one xl, Australian model, although I believe this issue spans many other countries.
thanking you kindly, st3wy.

To be a bit more specific, the write protection mentioned above is actually enabled in the 2.15 firmware rather than the 4.2.2 Android software version.

I agree, the thread title and the OP should be revised to mention 2.15, as those that were updated "officially" to that hboot version prior to SuperCID/S-off (or received their phone that way) are the only ones affected.

Having the correct thread title will make it clearer to those who may be able to help you. When asking for help you need to make sure you're as specific and correct with your terminology as possible, it makes it a lot easier for people to help. You can change the thread title by editing the first post in the thread while viewing in a web browser.

Naw.
Seriously, though I haven't heard of anyone working on it. Although all it takes is one talented individual to be working on it, for it to happen. And devs will often not admit to working on something for a variety of reasons. Not the least of which, is that they don't want to disappoint folks if they can't crack it, and they don't want people constantly nagging them "Did you hack it yet?".
There might be a spike in interest for such an exploit if/when AT&T deploys the same write protection on their Android 4.2/Sense 5 update. According to the poll on the ViperXL thread, 65% of those that responded are on AT&T.
I have to agree. I'd put money on the fact that when the at&t release comes there's gonna be a buttload of interest in getting this firmware haxxed. There simply aren't enough people (and devs) dealing with this problem at this stage. Wait until there are hordes of Americans complaining about it, then hopefully we'll see some action.
