I dnt kw , if this would help or not, but this problem started after uninstallation of one of the camera oriented apps installed from the market itself

If you already successfully used the ruu and it still is not working, it needs to be replaced. Maybe last ditch effort would be to re-install the app you think caused the problem after the uninstall.

Did that also,
I dont feel that it a hardware fault at all.
As i dint dropped that phone or some thing like that.
As per my knowledge it needs to be sorted through software only.
But how, for that I need seniors guidance.

You didn't have root or anything right and didn't go depleting stuff with root browser right? Lol

If you already tried the ruu, your on
2.20 you need to bring it in for repair/replacement. Theres no better "software" fix than that.

Sorry bro. I dont have much of the info what you are saying, that is the only reason I have given you all the tech specs.
Though I tried to root the device, but later I learnt that 2.20 can not be rooted.
The reason for rooting the device was that I was not able to turn my device as hotspot.
Which I did with Foxfi anyhow.

As you where very helpless in the HTC one x forum...give some more info here.
What does you're bootloader say UNLOCKED - RELOCKED - LOCKED ?
If you have root you definitely need to be UNLOCKED.
if you don't know what bootloader is please return to the shop and let it be fixed there

Amazing! Sorry for doubting you. Did you happen to check if S-OFF was present before unlocking at htcdev.com? And just to be clear, you didn't run any other method beyond what's explicitly described on htcdev.com?
yes..checked it was s-on before...
I did a lot of other crap though...but it shouldn't be related...
and last night I finally want to root my phone...so may as well unlock the bootloader...too

Nah, he said it's unbranded. So it's RUNNING on AT&T's network, but it's not an AT&T phone. As HTC has said (in not so many words), AT&T's the one that doesn't want an unlocked bootloader, it may be that Rogers doesn't have the same restrictions.

But either way it shouldn't be S-OFF should it? If it was unlocked through HTCdev it would still be S-ON.

Right. I've never heard of htcdev providing S-OFF before. Didn't do it on my One X, didn't do it on my Jetstream. This is quite curious indeed. Maybe I'll try unlocking again.

heh yeah, just looking for anything that might explain the difference. i wonder if Rogers secretly has more than one model, or maybe niceppl somehow got a dev unit by accident. There were 4 or 5 units of the HP Touchpad that made it into retail outlets with Qualcomm's development build of Android on it, so who knows.

Is it at all possible that you may have used the Nexus AIO tool to try to unlock the bootloader? i say this because this section and theres have been easy to mistake if you just CTRL + F to find the phone. I found myself in the wrong forum mistakenly :| also maybe not having the ADB version different but having a different set of tools might have something. Maybe (no offense ) you mistakenly using the wrong tool might have been a godsend!!!
can you provide us with a logcat and a whole onslaught of information about what software you used and what versions they are.
Further more, i dont know if you do this but i tend to use super tool packages as a workaround from having to download the sdk and all that since the tools are included in there. if so could you send me a list of the files you added to the folders and what they are??
Thank you so much in advance
nice!
if this is all true, then please share, this will help a lot of people, has anyone else been able to do this?
and maybe i'm being dumb, but is the at&t version very different?

[Q] Help with ROM

Guys, wondering if someone could help me. Have a new HTC One XL (Telstra edition).
I have unlocked using HTC dev and have TWRP installed.
I did a complete wipe, loaded the UNOFFICIAL CyanogenMod 10.1 for HTC One XL (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2064621) via TWRP, flashed the boot image.
Now, the system is booting up, but the screen isn't registering (i.e. any touch of the pad doesn't yeild any result). The power button works, the sound buttons work, but no touch. I know the touchscreen isn't the issue, because it is fine when using TWRP. Any suggestions?

Why are you so sure of that? Because more people will be affected, and therefore devs will be more motivated to solve this issue?
Other than that, I don't see how the AT&T OTA will help in any way. But maybe I'm missing the point here.

O2 does carry the dual core EVITA, if that is what you are asking.
EDIT: I see know from the hboot photo below, that the phone is indeed an ENDEAVORU. So it looks like O2 is one of those carriers that support both the dual core and quad core versions.

[Q] Needing repair in warranty: Back to stock having a 3.18 based Rom

Hello Everyone, as in the subject, my touch isn't working, so i need to ship my phone(under warranty) to the technical center,
so, I wanted to relock the bootloader and use a ruu .
Here it's my problem, i tryed many many method, but i cannot use the latest available ruu (3.14.x) since i installed before the originale stock 3.18.x rom.
The ruu. exe give me every times the error 140, even if i try after rewriting boot.img, signed_recovery.img and so on.
I tryed many things, but i cannot do it, so here my questions:
1) Someone already have the right working solution?
2) i thought to flash a stock rom based on 3.14.401.31 and retry to use the ruu, so can someone give me a link to download a "old" rom like that?
3) other suggests?
Thank you very very much in advance for your help!

Please stop posting. You are giving nothing but bad advice to the OP. He's in the correct forum, he needs to head to the 2 development selections.
OP, you are good to flash any ROM you want FROM THIS FORUM ONLY. Granted you have custom recovery. Hboot 1.09 will allow you to flash anything with no restrictions. So don't worry about fastboot or any boot.img. if you need any help with anything just ask in here and we'll give you proper advice.

Because you have no idea what you're talking about, and you're feeding false information.

It's not that my information that was useless. It was that the OP's Info was useless. He did not give me any information about his previous searches or attempts to find a sense rom for his phone. So I provided him with clearly obvious information to his question with the limited knowledge I know about this thread, assuming that there were no sense rom but not bothering to look yet again assuming that the OP had already looked and had no success. Now, if you're going to troll and carry on and not politely excuse me for being mistaken then you can leave this thread. Good day.

Lol no disrespect man. He wasn't asking anything about porting ROMs, or didn't ask anything about the HTC one. I didn't want him to get confused and do something crazy. Sorry if I came off short bro.

Yep. Hboot 1.14 and higher need fastboot or s-off to flash any image files. (Splash screens, kernels, recovery imgs)
So you having hboot 1.09 are home free. Find a ROM you're interested in, download onto phone. Wipe everything in twrp and flash the zip file and gapps in need be. Profit bro

It's bad to disrespect Devs even small time devs. He didn't ask about porting roms but he did ask about the HTC one X. Sorry if I put HTC one.. I recommended porting because I didn't know there were Sense roms on here! :l -_-

No.. It happens between devs every now and then. You may not notice it but it happens and I usually win in the dis agreements and if it gets out of hand I take it away from XDA

If you don't know the device, you shouldn't be giving advice for it, leave it to the guys who know what they're talking about for this device.
By the way, the OP's information wasn't useless. He correctly identified his device, he gave his hboot version, and simply asked where to find ROMs for it.

Lol I thought I was the only one who caused threads to spiral like this.
Sorry for off-topic.
