Once unlocked, the phone is permanently unlocked. I think you mean the SIM access code which, if entered incorrectly too many times, will permanently lock the SIM, not the phone. You need to get a new SIM card.

Unlocked my phone, sent for repair, cannot unlock?

Sorry for the double post guys, I meant to post here.
Ok, I purchased an unlock code and unlocked successfully. A few weeks later, I sent out for repair for GPS lock-on issues, and recieved the same exact phone back(s/n and IMEI's match). I am really not too sure if the phone is unlocked still or not but I don't think it is because I cannot delete the T-mobile APN which was the reason I needed it unlocked in the first place so I can use Simple Mobile.
I tried to unlock the phone by using the 2945#*999#, but when I enter the unlock code that I have purchased, it says unlocked unsuccessfully.
Does the unlock code change or stays the same always. If it stays the same, why am I having a problem? I tried inputting twice.

Once you unlock a phone it stays unlocked. Your unlock is probably unsuccesful as the device is already unlocked. Have you tried your simple sim in the phone. If it boots up without a carrier lock message and asking you ton input the code that confirms it is unlocked.
On the official T-Mobile GB rom, the T-Mobile APN will never go away regardless of whether the phone is carrier locked or unlocked. Mine has that but no biggie. Just create new entries for data and mss for your carrier, and click the radio button so that Simple Mobile's normal APN for data is selected. Then you will be good to go.
See photo below. Will look like that just with your carrier's apn instead of mine.

Well that is good to know that the phone is unlocked. I actually used to be able to delete the T-Mobile apn. Now I cannot delete it. But I can deal with the T-Mobile apn staying there but everytime I click the simple mobile apn, it keeps switching back to T-Mobile which is y I needed to originally unlock the phone in the first place. How do I keep the green dot on my simple mobile apn without it moving by itself every 5-10 minutes?
Search for my other thread for a solution to the Simple APN issue. It si because they use the same carrier ID as TMO. My solution fixes your problem.

[Q] Verify phone has been unlocked?

Would the only way to verify a phone (g2x) has been unlocked be to use a SIM from a different provider, or is there any other way?
Thanks!

yes. go to att store and ask to pull out a sim from display phones. thats what i did
I just asked my friend if I could use her AT&T SIM Card.
If you dial 2945#*999# and the unlock code entry screen does not say how many attempts are left then the phone has already been unlocked.

Mobile networks permanently locked

Hello. I have Alcatel Idol 3 6039H from macedonian T-Mobile network. I obtained unlock code from unlockbase.com but it seems they have send me wrong code or I done something wrong and now my phone says "Mobile networks have been permanently locked because you have incorrectly entered SIM ME lock 3 times. Please contact the operator". And now phone won't work with any sim card even with the carrier that it's lock on.
Is there any way to fix this without sending phone to service?
Thanks.
hhmm sound bad, man. Why you buy a locked phone and then you unlock it by illegal company? Anyway on their site their claim they have 24/7 support and money back guarantee. Have you tried to contact them?
I think the only solution is to contact the t-mobile. Or try another illegal company. GOOd Luck.

Reset Hard lock to enter IMEI unlock code?

Hi,
It seems i used up all my tries way before when i first inserted my sim card into this phone when i foolishly thought it was asking me for a PIN. I was glad this morning when i saw the email from my previous carrier tech-support, but unfortunately I can't use the unlock code anymore.
So is there any way of resetting the counter without service center, because the phone is way beyond warranty.
Thanks.
From what I read so far, No.

Hello;
In January, my wife bought a Samsung Galaxy S6 in France and received a T-mobile device (IMEI: 359462061625066). She had no problem to use it until 2 weeks.
After a reboot the phone have a screen about Network Lock and she can not use it as always with her simcard.

We had looking for where we can put an unlock code but we found nothing. I'm not able to show this menu ( https://www.androidcentral.com/site.../postimages/634222/samsunggalaxys4-unlock.jpg ), and we do not understand why the phone is blocked when she used it without worry for 4 months
Have you any idea about that ? How can I unlock the phone from France ?
<Mod Snip>
Thank for your reply, I have some of those website in bookmark but How can I have the unlock screen, the one where I can put the code ?
It do not show on the screen, I've only the one that I post a picture then when I click on OK, I've no more screen.
Without this screen I can not use any code.
2nd question, is there any difference between a Simlock and a Network lock ? Is it the same thing ?
Do you have those informations ?
Since it was a TMobile device. I suppose it can be unlocked only via the tmobile device unlock app which updates the unlock code in nvdata in the background. It wont give you the unlock code popup to enter code manually. Search for services related to tmobile app unlock.

In a nutshell, sim and network locked are both the same from a user perspective. You can't use any other sim in it except from its original carrier. What do you exactly mean by "no screen"? Does it turn off? Does it go into a boot loop?

I misspoke. I meant that I did not have the display of the screen to enter the unlocking code.
The code #7465625*638*# which allows the display of this screen, works on my S6 Edge but not on the S6 of my wife.
