Made the plunge - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

Just picked up a brand new galaxy s3. Loving it so far. 1st question of many. How can I get all my emails to show up? I synced my emIl account but it still shows 0 in the in box.
Edit: scratch that I guess it need a min to load.

What's a good stockish rom? I cant rememeber what I had on my nexus. I thinknit was akop. Do they have a rom for the s3.

Synergy if you want one without problems

Can't go wrong with the S3.
Top notch
SynergyROM r326

I'm running aokp at the moment. Its been very stable and for the most part has a stock feel, with a few added functions.

Clean ROM for sure

I think Synergy is hands-down the best Touchwiz ROM for the GS3.

You want tw or aosp?
Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 2

CleanRom has the fewest mods, so it should be the most stable. Synergy has a ton of extra mods. Can't go wrong either way. I am running CleanROM 4.5 and have not found a reason to update.

Welcome to the club. You'll love the phone!

Try Beans 11 or clean rom 5.6

Yeah I'm loving it so far. Coming from a droid X, galaxy nexus, and now a galaxy s3 I can see a great improvement. The 1 thing that irritates me is the typing isn't as smooth as ios. It's alot better with swift keyboard but still not as smooth as I want.
I went with synergy rom and it's great. I'm guessing it's touchwiz since it comes with the touchwiz launcher (I like apex launcher).
I'll probably give aokp a try since I liked it on my nexus.
Oh yeah love the multi Window that's just bad***!

[Q] Lightweight ROM for Infuse

Hi everyone, I was just wondering what you all recommend for a lightweight ROM for the infuse, id like it to be stable as possible and no bloatware. Basically a ROM with nothing but the basics and lets you get the job done.
Thanks in advance!
Also, if there is not really a match for this or others would like this I would love to get one up myself. If someone could point me towards the basics of creating a ROM it would be greatly appreciated.
I've only tried Legend 3 ICS, Mind of Mac, and Ethereal 1.2/1.3, and while they're all great in their individual ways, i've found Ethereal to be the smoothest with a slight speed advantage over the others. It seems to be the most basic with not a lot, but just enough theming to set it apart from stock. It's the ROM i'm sticking with for now. I'm sure others will have some suggestions too..
I've been using stock gb with bloatware removed for about two months now. Works great and is pleasantly smooth. Used Holocaust launcher for the ICS look w/o the battery drain, bugs, etc.

Those are all good options for stable, close to stock, and debloated. I'd add Vagabond 3.5 and 4.0 to the list too.
You can also grab dman's UCLB3 rooted, deodexed package and do your own debloating either by removing apps from the zip in /system/app or using TiBu to do the same once installed... that will get you very close to stock, stable, debloated, and rooted...
And...there are plenty of other roms that have more customizations, are still stable, and provide a different look and feel to using your Infuse. I recommend finding the stable rom you like, then using the infuse toolkit to make a full rom backup and a config backup. After that you can survey the Infuse Super Everything Thread (ISET) for links to other roms. (Links to toolkit and ISET are in my sig).
cm7
or cm9?
I just started using slim ics,its small like 80mb
Ethereal for me, I haven't tried a lot of ROMs though. I tried MIUI few months ago, the version I tried was very fast, but buggy. No Bluetooth, no HDMI etc.
Recently, I tried Ethereal, most recent version with HOLO Launcher and I must say my Infuse has been brought back to life. I might keep it for another year until a stable Jelly Bean Android device comes out. I wish they make a Nexus with expandable memory and a +5 inch screen; until then, Infuse on Ethereal will be my daily driver

Using JB liquid smooth and its quick and haven't had any stability issues at all. I would give it a go, think you would love it ! You can remove anything you don't want to lighten it up
Slimbean and liquidsmooth are the 2 most stable of the roms I've tried. Slim being the lightest I believe.

[Poll] Best/fastest TW rom.

Curious to see what everyone likes.
Definitely Beans 6, it's smooth, aosp themed, and aroma. If you absolutely and passionately hate the stock TW look like me then this is the best TW out there.

Everyone has their opinions, my phone likes CleanRom the best. Some run faster than others on different devices.
Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 2
Clean rom is good, but IMO, stock is just fine once you get rid of the wifi notification
If you want speed aosp ROMs are the way to go, just sayin!!
sent from my blue police box flying through time!!!
Beans 7 is my pick. I've tried executioner, super charge wiz, galaxy mods, aosp roms, and others really happy with beans builds! Fast, reliable, and great mix of tw and aosp!
Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 2
I'm running Beans 6 and I love it (haven't updated to 7 yet because it seems to have introduced a few bugs for people and there's already the promise of some great stuff in build 8). For the curious, the thread is here.

[Q] ROM Suggestions Galaxy S3 Verizon

I have just switched over from an iPhone 5 to a Galaxy S3 and I am wondering what ROM I should go with. I have tried AOKP and CyanogenMod and I wasn't a huge fan. I am looking for a ROM where all of the radios work and it is on Jelly Bean.
The problem I had with AOKP is the bluetooth was spotty and I use that to play music in my car. The wifi wouldn't give me a chance to connect to networks where you have to accept the user agreement.
Any Suggestions?

Go to this link and download the 3.1.0 official at the top.
It's AOSP with absolutely no bugs! It's perfect and super clean. Oh, and Bluetooth has no issues either.

I just switched to liquid smooth and I'm a huge fan. Just make sure everything is backed up first. I also had to move everything to folder 0 because I switched from 4.2 back to 4.1 and then back. Wasn't a good idea lol

I have tried 2 Touch wiz ROMs Synergy and CleanRom.. both are good. CleanRom seemed a little faster but synergy had more customization options.
But I am on the Official AOKP rom and it really smooth and fast. I have also tried Liquids, Slims, and baked. all of them are good to it really is a matter of what you are looking for. If you have Titanium backup you can be up and running on a new ROM in a few minutes... I am a flashaholic.
In my opinion I will be sticking with the Original Android Roms.

No one likes a ROM suggestion thread.
Roms run differently on everyone's phone.
It's your job to read through the threads and figure out which one you think is best for you.
if this is not your style.... Then I can assure you that you are on the wrong website.
However. Take a look over at clean ROM and synergy as they both work wonders.
Just to give you a start in the right direction

I'll give a vote for CleanROM and Synergy. There has been a lot of work on Synergy the past month, and the latest builds are smooth and have fantastic battery life.
Cyanogenmod is a slick operating system. It's aesthetically beautiful and provides options that users have wanted from original ROM developers, not custom ROMs.

Help me find a daily?

Hey everyone, been lurking mostly and first time posting. I'm not one for having the best newest rom. I am looking for something that can be my daily driver. Currently I'm using cm10.0 12/16 build lol because anything I've ever tried has been really buggy. I'm looking for anything Smoother, reliable and better battery.
Thanks for your help!
Carbon if you want AOSP
Beans 10 build if you want touchwiz.

I recommend the unofficial CM10.1 builds made by Masta.

I reccommend stock 4.1.2 leak with my MODS
if you want stock touchwiz newest with MODs..
if you want a 4.1.1/4.1.2 AOSP ROM, I personally suggest ParanoidAndroid 2.5.6
and if you want AOSP 4.2 I'd would sugggest BAMF Paradigmn, but that isn't public yet, so my next is Carbon ROM is nice, Slim is great, and Eclipse is awesome if you want a nice dark theme and a great ROM..
I personally use stock kernel on touchwiz, and whatever comes in the ROMs for AOSP.
Thanks for the recommendation guys. I'm not a big fan of touch wiz and much prefer aosp.
What are your opinions on aokp?

I personally use Cm10.1 with Imos lean kernel. It is daily worthy but I suggest using the unofficial builds. I have been very happy.

Been using carbon for the day. Loving it so far. Super snappy. Only thing I noticed was 4g drops sometimes between wifi hand off.
I'll be trying eclipse soon

Agreed, I would definitely go with mastamoon's unofficial build, if only for the GPS revert. I prefer lk as well, but the stock kernel has gotten better.
What's the battery life on carbon? Or cm10.1 cuz Im always using KT kernel so yeah

I am using CleanRom 4.5 with Apex Launcher, it has been rock solid, I just can't get myself to switch to any other ROM, everything just works. You get the AOSP look with the TW features I want.

I honestly think this is your best bet. Though the AOSP roms are snappy and simple, there are still way too many bugs. I'm on CleanRom as well and it's very smooth with virtually no bugs. You can even theme your phone to resemble AOSP while still having the luxury of using all the addons touchwiz has to offer.

I've gotten absolutely amazing battery life as well as speed and reliability. There is only one bug and that is a lack of pattern lock which many roms have.

As I said above this ROM also has virtually no bugs and is very nicely put together. If you do in fact go with clean however, don't put a launcher on it because it ruins the purpose of a custom rom.

I don't normally use a pattern lock, but I just set one up and it seemed to work fine for me. I am using a CM10.1 unofficial that I've repo-sync'd and built myself this morning. I added a few cherry-picks, but they shouldn't have directly affected that.

My top 2 favorite ROMs right now are beanstown jellybeans and SYNERGY.

My personal favorites are as follows:
AOSP: Carbon or Eclipse
TW: Beans or Synergy
Currently on Carbon with KT747 kernel and perfomance/battery life is out of this world!

I've lately been wanting a speedy, stable, and battery lasting rom. If you're looking for that TW is the way to go for that. I'm using Edgehood's delta rom right now and it's been great. Running Lean kernel 1.8. I like AOSP as well, but the lack of stable data connection has kept me off of it.

It's not that buggy at all. It's the stable data connection which is still a little off. It definitely has come a long way. Reason why I'm still on TW for right now.

Going from AOSP to TW Rom..

I have been on AOSP roms on my d2vzw for 6 months but there are just some deal breakers right now (reboots, a2dp, etc.) and I think I have to bite the bullet and go back to a TW based rom. I know there are about 3 out there. I guess Beans, Hyperdrive, and cleanrom. It looks like beans takes a while to update, hyperdrive seems to have some lockscreen issues and cleanrom isnt vesy customizable (e.g. cant change the toggles in notification drawer). What would you guys think is the best of the 3? How quickly will I want to go back to an AOSP rom? Thoughts?
It's all personal preferance. Nobody can pick the "best" rom for you. Try a few out and see how you like them. And for my reply won't be 100% usless, cleanrom 6 is great. It's smooth, fast, and all that jazz
