Well I think it's ok to create new topic. I searched around but couldn't.
Actually I wanted to add beats audio to the ROM.zip(jaggyROM 3.2.1) before flashing. I downloaded the beats audio zips from
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1525226
I simply extracted the data from the zips to ROM in their appropriate directories. Eg libs in libs, apps in apps etc in etc.
(No harm to the zip. Just drag and drop)
Well I went to recovery, flashed zip, fixed permissions.
It boots now but music.apk force closes.
Please help where am I wrong?
Please let me how can I add beats audio to jaggy 3.2.1?
Well I don't want to flash it separately.
(I know jaggy 4.1 has beats audio but I want to add it to 3.2.1)
Any help.......?

I flashed that (selected "stock" in aroma) and music.apk force closes.
By the way I was asking about adding beats before flashing the ROM. I think it needs some build.prop, script updater work.
Will someone give me some guidelines?

It's different to exract it and put on folders than flash zip directly.
Because there are some scripts that are launched by busybox and need permission on updater-script file

Yes exactly I was thinking so. Flashing sometimes edits the build.prop and set permissions as well. I copied the needed commands from the beats zip and added to the Rom script updater using es explorer but I think it made it unusable.
Now I got it simply using beats audio from play. Thanks to danceoff.

How to install beats audio on your phone:
1. Your phone must be rooted.
2. Go to the play store or google play or android market or whatever you call it.
3. Type in the search field ' beats audio'.
4. There will be an app called 'beats audio installer' which will be needing the permission of root to run.
5. Install it.
6. If you have no root, when you open the app, it will show a sad face and will display ' no root '.
7. If you have root, it will show a happy face and will display 'ready'.

I forgot to test this before i flashed back to Synergy... I believe they have a specific app on there for the music app or that works in conjunction with the music app, kind of like an advancer dsp/eq app. Just wondering if any tried it and their experience was with it.
Thanks

i would like to know as well, i have solo's amazing with dsp, can only imagine an app from absolute pros lol
Can someone extract the apk from the rom?
give me a little bit. ill look into it
edit: ive got school in the morning and its getting pretty late. so later in the afternoon tomorrow ill do some tests. i think i have found the files necessary for the "beats" audio dsp thing.
here are 3 apps youll need for beats i dont know if youll need the HTClisten.apk since i do believe its the sense 3.5 music player but ill upload it anyways just incase...
take these three files and put them on your SD card
move them to system/app and CHANGE ALL THREE .APKS PERMISSION TO RW- R-- R--
i changed before i put them into /app and replaced all the .apk's that it asked me too
--- this may not be needed but i did it anyways
boot into recovery wiped cache/dalvik and fixed permissions
reboot
wahlah beats audio lol
DO THIS ON YOUR OWN!! I DONT KNOW IF IT WORKS ON ANY ROM OTHER THEN SENSE 3.5 THATS WHAT THESE INSTRUCTIONS ARE FOR... IF YOUR TRYING ON ANYTHING LOWER THEN SENSE 3.5 YOUR ON YOUR OWN WITH WHAT HAPPENS... EVEN IF YOU DO SOMETHING WRONG ON A SENSE 3.5 rom ITS ALL ON YOU! : )
This is probably a noob question but will the beats work with aosp roms?

I followed everything and it all went well. Except that when i go into Music>Menu>Sound Enhancer, there is no Beats Audio option.
Idk if it works with any rom that's not sense 3.5 and try using the HTCmusic.apk or HTClisten.apk that comes stock with your rom and just use the other 2 .apk's I posted see if that works for ya... And plzzzz say you made a backup just incase...

i have no idea those are the steps i took to put them back into the 3.5 ROM im running when my dev put in a different music enhancer also i pulled them because the first page some people was wanting them... but i havent tried on any ROM other then sense 3.5
but if you wanted to try on synergy dont use the htclisten.apk that i posted just use the other 2 because the htclisten.apk is the sense 3.5 music player i do believe
also stock HTC kernel for some reason does not allow beats to work on the Dinc so if it doesnt work for anyone give a different kernel a try and see if that helps...

I tried to ask the question in the appropriate thread here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=28015542&postcount=27
But that thread got LOCKED and a redirect was posted to a "general" thread for further discussion but that given thread doesn't seem to be "Device Specific" to the TF300T, thus I'm not inclined to post my question there.
Can anyone answer this as in if Beats Audio will work on stock-rooted us.30 (Not unlocked), and post the exact install method so I don't end up "bricking"?
Thanks.
It's a flashable zip, so you can't install it if you aren't unlocked.

Nope, just dropped them in, if you want back up any system files that get replaced (if there are any, I didn't check), but you can always just pull them from a stock ROM if necessary. For your other questions, I have no idea, all I saw was the Awesome BEATS app, I figured that was all it was. I'll look at it.
Edit: found the Music effects option, right under Sound in the settings. Switched from MusicFX to Awesome BEATS.

Thanks for the follow-up. I just now copied them again/rebooted as I didn't see any of the new files in /system... This time it worked! I have both the App and the mentioned Settings which I've also switched to Awesome BEATS.
Now to play a little and see how this works. I think it is designed to have best effect (sound quality improvement) using BT and/or headphones but I could be wrong.

[CWM flashable zip for SGR is available in 3rd post below ].
Beats Audio
After flashing the latest beats audio libs (attached), the music quality in headset has certainly been improved. It doesn't add any Bass to the music but indeed it adds quality to the music.
[TESTED ONLY IN STOCK 4.0.4 DEODEXED]. I have no idea about other ROMs. Please keep the CWM backup ready .
Don't forget to Thank the developer in the original thread.

[Update]
For the music lovers who wants the right music player (besides Poweramp) that uses beats audio libraries here you go.
MIUI Player with Beats audio rocks. Unlike SGS3 ported player, MIUI has equalizers. Though it doesn't have predefined effects option to choose (that supports all the effects of beats) but still it rocks and it is the best player that uses beats audio as of now.
If I find any DSP manager modded with beats that really supports all the beats music effects and works fine with SGR, will keep you informed.
Please Hit THANKS if you like my work and it is totally free

Delete all files from /system/lib/soundfx before replacing them with the dolby ones... Also delete dspmanager.apk at /system/app
And add this at the end of build.prop at /system

After installing the mod, reboot to recovery and clear cache and dalvik cache...
After that, reboot and enjoy the new sound changes

Also download the latest zip now, updated my post... added the apk I forgot (didnt noticed it lol) and deleted unecessary conf file at zip... again, not a flashable zip. Sorry guys, my laptop is dead
Put the files and folders on their right places

This post is a share all credit goes to orignal dev and can be found in this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1525226
using this mod on stock is bit lengthy follow the steps and you will have awesome beats.
prerequisite
--of course a rooted device and nandroid backup
instructions
1) download the attached zip file
2) open root exploer browse through system> app and delete musicfx.apk and musicfx.odex
3) reboot to cwm and wipe cache partition and flash the zip file. You are done
Only thing that can happen is sound stops working and that too only when you dont delete the files in step2.
If something goes wrong it is considered that you have backup and therefore I am not responsible for any kind of damage to your device.
--if there is any problem tell me!
