Anyone know of a low battery warning app? You know, an app to sound an alarm if the battery reaches below a certain level?

Ya its a good app to get reminded of a low battery ..
I have both nstools and setcpu running on my phone. Do I need both? I changed the Max to 1200 on nstools and set cpu changed to 1200. Should I just keep one or do they work off each other.
Thanks in advance

One of them is enough...i prefere NS-Tools because ther you can set a lot whit it..but it´s your decision..
the fact is only one is needed...
thanks. i just love the widget that gives me battery temps. but i guess i can do without it. If the back of my hand starts burning, i should probably stop what im doing.

better to use one apps...
I want to overclock my phone but I'm wondering the best app for this. Free or not, it doesn't matter for me. I want your suggestions, thanks a lot.

setcpu does what it should.
if you flash Fallout, you have another one already integrated into the system.
in fallout the oc app is integrated in the rom.
I use Rom toolbox, I think it's quite a under mentioned app.
sent from the thing I stab with my finger when I get two minutes
im using jb, there is a option to max cpu frequency to 1516MHz.

Agreed with toxic-hero! Setcpu is very stable app that does what is has to do. Also faster than integrated app in Fallout

where do you get that set CPU is faster than an integrated overclock daemon (such as the one in fallout)?
IMO That's just not true...

I am only saying that, based on my own experience, fallout tweaks is slowly opening and also slow on applying new settings.
Setcpu opens immediately and applies immediately. At least no visual lag whatsoever.

that I agree with, but the benefit of an overclocking application should be judged on how quickly it makes the actual clocking changes to the CPU even shifting not how long it takes to configure, which is surely only a one off task.

Depends on the Rom. As written before some roms have integrated those settings. E.G. fallout and all CM based ones. Any app you can download is a little slower than this since it needs some time to apply the settings.

So I have had this for about two days well the first day it got really hot around the camera an topper screen portion so hot holding just was a no an it was just doing normal task no apps installed just browsing so I factory reset it an that helped but not completely
So I then rooted to see if I could change kernel settings well it looks like my cores are almost always running at max speed so I downloaded kernel auditor to change setting an that still always want to go to maximum clock speed so I so I lowered it an it was still just at maximum 90% of the time So I disabled some cores bringing cpu temp down to around 94/96 degrees Fahrenheit is this normal or is it just me
Sorry for scrub questions I only had a s4 before this which was much less complicated
Thanks in advance sorry if I was confusing
Maybe there are some app running in background..try checking the usage manager, ..using bloatware tool also helping it to cool down
tryed it

Tried safe mode an deleted a lot of bloat an it's just almost always like this except when screen off
Can you post screen shot of kernel auditor's frequency table? both of them..bigLittle
For me it was a circle case widget which was causing it to heat up. I used CPU monitor and found it. Closed that and it is fine since.

So I was looking an it won't let me list the screen shot but the little cores seem to push pass the limit just by touching the screen it will raise the maximum an minimum to 1248 then when I'm not settings go to normal
so that happened

Alright good to know. You can try running CPU monitor app and see what is taking most of the CPU.

Okit wouldn't let me add the picture so here's a link Screenshot_2015-08-14-10-32-17.png - https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1amLS5fOK4ONUdVbk1UZEhRbDg/view?usp=docslist_api
I also have problems as above and unresolved
I've been playing with kernel settings for a week now
so far i've noticed something regarding battery life (SOT) and its temperature
If i set big cpu to ondemand and LITTLE to interactive(default) the battery life stays much longer but the phone feel hot..
then if i set big to interactive and LITTLE to ondemand, the phone itself doesn't heat much but the battery life became poor..
and if you noticed, big cpu seldoms reach more than 384mhz..that's most of the time it stays in lowest of it frequency table
Maybe we can experimenting it together and discuss about it here
hi to everyone...i'm just trying to find a kernel for z5 .152 which let me undervolt the smartphone cause i can't undervolt with the original one or with the @AndroPlus kernel..thank you
Why do you want to undervolt?
Sent from my Xperia z5 using Tapatalk
i want to undervolt to improve autonomy and processor life
It might help to increase battery life as well
The amount you can safely undervolt on most devices will achieve you nothing in real life terms. U might achieve a bit cooler running but you're probably talking like 1-2 degrees

AndroPlus kernel works fine with undervolting, I was able to undervolt my Z5 by -300mv on all frequencies

What tool did you use to undervolt? I tried using device control, but it kept resetting to the default value when I left the menu.

well, with the current state,
you can only reduce the drain but not stop it (e.g. via http://forum.xda-developers.com/xpe...urance-tweaks-v1-tweaks-t3321841/post65494883 )
that's not an satisfying situation for me,
investigating ...

You'll get about 5 more minutes on the screen over a charge. Not worth the hassle really

People do it mostly because of heat, not battery.

Go to kernel adiutor>cpu voltage and then adjust there, do note that 700mv is the lowest u can go

Download kernel adiutor, open it, give it root access, then swipe from the left side of the screen to access the options, go to cpu voltage, it will present you with the Little and Big frequencies, tap on any frequency to change its value to your liking and do note that 700mv is the lowest voltage you can set to every frequency.
