I have bought HTC sensation before 2 days (I had a MotorolaDefy before) and I am trying to undersstand few things but i need your help about this.
What is the difference between SOFF and Rott acess?
If I root my device and have SON custom roms will work?
PLease if someone can help me to understand the differences between SOFF and Root

Hi,
Take your time and read through the forums.
In the mean time ,look HERE
You can, then, have custom ROMS on your phone without s-off.
Read THIS
It will give you some idea about other stuff.

Hi Guys, after rooting my cousin's desire. I forgot to S-off. I flashed Leedroid's ROM. Now It has stuck at bootloader. for last 15 min. Nothing is happening..?

you can unlock it via htcdev and then use http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1195275 to root it.
And yes xda has a forum for wildfire s

Try skanob's, AFAIK its the only one that works for your hboot version.

No, there is no way to downgrade hboot 2.02.xxx without unlocking the bootloader (and losing warranty).

Do as suggested and READ. All the information you need is out there and people are getting more and more fed up with the same questions being posted every three days just because people are too lazy to look for themselves.

this is what i just needed unlocking, rooting and flashing custom recovery..
and oh by the way i nid also the procedure for downgrading and upgrading process..hoping for ur patience..sori for too much question..just new here in development thread for HTC,

you need to S-OFF the device if you want to downgrade
in S-ON you can't

i don't think so
just make the contact(during the wire trick) in the correct time so you can have S-OFF in less time

i was wondering if there was anyone who could help me with unlocking the bootloader and rooting my HTC One mini running android 4.3 and HTC Sense 5.5. Its an unlocked model from the UK. Im kind of new to this and was very confused and so am hoping someone here could give me or link me to a tutorial to do these things. If there is a similar post then i apologise for making another one.

Unlock your bootloader at htcdev.com. Then flash the twrp 2.6 and install the root if you want. You get a option to. Then if you want to s-off use the revone method or the rumrunner. I prefer the revone.

Hello there, Thanks for they reply! How do I flash twrp 2.6 and how do I install the root? I think I have seen tutorials for s-off so i'll be ok with that.

After you unlock bootloader, you can just google or search on the fourums on how to install twrp using cmd if you have windows.
