Hi All;
Apperantly with some app (like market enabler or etc..) I have managed to change the network code on my sim card. But sure I do not know still how. My SGS3 thinks that I am roaming while I am on my original network. I tried to find the apps I used before but there was no chance. Also I think because of this I am experiencing APN deletion automatically when I fake the market. When I check the sim card information with some apps they are sayin that I am on T-Mobile while I should be on Avea (which is Turkish network)
My question is do you advise me any app that can write the data on sim card ( which I think I already managed to do before) to edit the country code and network code? and any other solution?
Thanks in advance...
Sorry I realized later I thinl this is totaly wrong place to ask...

I`ve just found an old sim card I used to use in my drawer and thought I would see if it had any credit left on it,but I cant for the life of me remember the pin code I used with it.
Would I be able to find it with a sim card reader or would I need hardware and software(that is a file recovery program) to use the sim card again.?
The same question would I need a sim card reader to restore deleted text messages from this or other sim cards or are they recoverable from the phone memory?
I assuume its the same method for all android phones
TIA
You need a PUK code from your network. Call them up and ask them.
This should help: http://androidcommunity.com/forums/f41/puk-code-forgot-your-sim-card-pin-7687/
Thanks for the reply!
Sorry i think you mis understood the question,it is not the phone that is locked just the sim card that is protected with a pin number.If I enter that incorrectly 3 times then the phone will lock and I will need the PUK from the service provider.but I dont want to lock the phone as I`m using it with a differant providers sim card.
I just want to read the old card to see the contacts and sms messages that may be saved on it.But I cant remember the pin I protected it with for the life of me!
there alot of things you can do with a reader even clone the sim or so im told
Which is illegal I believe, if you use both at the same time.
Sent via my iPhone 4G...LOL JK iPhone doesn't do 4G.
Hello people, I'm trying to use a Claro sim card on my Personal phone (both carriers are argentinian), but can't get it to work.
The Claro card works on other phones. Mi xt925 is running CM 10.1.3 and the correct baseband (100700.220.62.33p).
It even showed me the gsm menu from Claro but no option worked, and still have no signal and get "Network not available" error.
I get something about the sim can be registered in Claro Argentina (as I said, the sim is working with no problem on other phones) when tryng to choose network.
I already have and unlock code, and don't have another sim (from a different carrier) to test it.
Is there anyway to force the phone to ask for the code?
EDIT: In case someones gets to this post, I fixed it going back to stock rom by using http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=38190729.
I put my sim card in and automatically asked me for the code.
Good day.
I currently have the Galaxy S6 dual sim version bought from a local network. It seems that although the second sim (whether in slot 1 or slot 2) can be used for SMS and calls, it CANNOT be used for mobile data.
I've tried flashing a supposedly OPEN LINE stock firmware (XTC brand, version 5.0.2) to try and open up both slots for mobile data, but although the phone firmware definitely updated, the second sim still is locked out from being used for mobile data. APN settings are locked for the second sim, again whether it was in slot 1 or slot 2.
Will flashing a different firmware (NOT FROM our country) work in unlocking the mobile data access? Will I have issues if the CSC comes from another country while I use this phone here at home?
Thanks!
Help with build.prop settings
So I've tried rooting and going around the build.prop file. I've tried to install a couple of lines that seemed to open up the APN settings of other network-locked phones:
ril.sales_code=LOL
ro.csc.sales_code=LOL
However, I'm only still able to add or modify APN settings for the sim of the network but not for a sim for another network. Maybe there's a modification to the build.prop file that can be done to finally open up APN settings for both sims?
UP
Still hoping someone can help me with this, either with a firmware for the dual sim version that can unlock the data/APN settings for any sim in both slots or possibly some build.prop tweak settings that can do the same.
SOLVED
Was able to find a tech guy who downloaded a program that "debranded/unbranded" the unit, making it a plain vanilla S6 Duos. Now any sim can work with data in any slot, APN settings activated.
link to the program please
Hello, I'm having the same problem, could you advise what was done to make your apn setting enabled?
Yes, link to the program will be very useful to all of us.

Hi everybody!
I have sim card and it was working fine, one day I opened my phone then there was no network, I could search for networks manually but I couldn't choose the right network it shows " Cannot choose network please try again later " and when I use apps to see sim status it shows " Sim locked " .
My phone isn't locked and I can use other sim cards from the same operator, maybe my network operator blocked my sim for some reason, I just wanna know if there is some way to make it work again.
And thanks, I'm new in Xda-developers BTW
Sim card name : Mobilis.
Country : Algeria.
Hi
Illegal content is not allowed on XDA Developers. If you carrier has blocked SIM card then you have to contact them.
Good luck.
Hello everyone,
I am from Europe, France, Using a sim card from Free Mobile. When i was in the US last week, i bought a Verizon Note 5, i saw on WillMyphonework, that it has the necessary bands to work with my network provider, and i checked the bands myself. the problem is that when getting home and putting my french sim card in, i can see the 3G, H, LTE text next to the network bars, but it is greyed out and i don't have access to internet through mobile data.
Has anyone had the same problem before ? is there a way to correct that ?
By the way, i put the apn information of my network provider, so it is not that.
Solved,
for those who have the same problem, update the apn setting then REBOOT the phone.
