Flash Droid incredible to straight talk. - General Questions and Answers

Hi, I've came across several posts online about people using their incredible on the straight talk service. I have the cdma workshop already, qpst & other software even a remote access program. I really would be thankful if someone could help me with doing this? I know its possible because theirs people that will do it for a fee. It would mean a lot if someone could point me to a step by step guide or just help me in general? Thank you so much.

The menu driven hack kit is so simple, as long as you read the manual a few times you will fine.

Do you have a current link to the hack kit and the effen manual??? Sadly I have been unable to locate it.
YouTube has some good videos. The whole process is not hard at all. If you can read and copy/paste, you'll be fine.

Yeah, it really is simple if you read through it a few times and look at the hack kit. I came from an iPhone and knew nothing about rooting. I got it to work! You can too!

[Q] Rooting Inspire 4g - Ace hack kit removed

Hey all. I've searched all over for a root for my gfs Inspire. Everything I find points me to the Ace hack kit. However, it looks like that tool was removed. Can anyone repost the files/guide? I can't find the info anywhere.
Thanks a million.

Ace Hack Kit is not in XDA anymore. For the time being, thereĀ“s no other place.
Yeah...gee thanks to all the people who cant seem to read and follow simple directions. XDA has lost a very valuable person.

ya, selfishness and laziness cost us the person that gave us all the tool that actually let us do so much more with our phones not to mention his constant hours of support to help those with problems. xda really should be either a paid membership or invite only. the ppl too lazy to follow rules wont be missed if they cant access the forum. /endrant

We could always track down those members and bann them since they didn't follow the rules. It may not be something that will bring him back, but it is the only nice thing I can think of doing.

It won't work. Xda seems to be more of a help desk than a dev site. Maybe the higher ups want it that way. Who knows.

No more Hack Kit in XDA..is not about Inspire or DHD....is about XDA....that is unfortunate, but it will probably draw the attention of the people round here!...at least I hope.
It is always sad to see a valued member leave. I wasn't aware of his work as I spend most of my time in the atrix 2 forum.
Are there any other known methods for rooting the inspire? My gfs phone is nearing unusable with the constant reboots. I have yet to find any information on fixing that issue as well. She has only had the phone about a month. Any input would be appreciated.

Well, before rooting is always good to check that the device has no hardware issues. Try doing a factory reset and see what happens. Try pulling the sdcard and see how it behaves for a day.
If is still misbehaving, then take it to warranty....rooting will not fix hardware issues. Then, when u are sure that no hardware issues are the cause of the problems, come and visit us in the IRC channel in my signature...the Hack Kit is still there....

Also if I'm allowed to put my two cents in here... but charge to 100% and as it dies check the percentage if it reboots write down the percent. Do it until it dies fully charge it and repeat. If the numbers match up its the battery I had bought this phone used. It rebooted at 96% and 42%. Got a new battery and no more random reboots

I edited my previous post to state where I found the link.
Many of the users searching for info on rooting the Inspire will end up here.
If you had followed your own suggestion and searched you would have found the answer yourself.

That wasn't my point. You don't just go posting links without saying anything like where they came from. Thanks for changing it.

It is ok if I make a torrent of this and seed isn't it??

Adding basic talk and text to the phone. Yes already have metro service on another phone as well. Thanks in advance if you can help or at least point me to the specific issue.

There is a set of forums specifically for the HTC Evo 3D - you are much more likely to get an answer there from someone who knows what they are doing.

Looking to hire experienced person to root my sensation 4g safely

I'm trying to find a person experienced with the careful rooting of sensation 4g phones. I would like to discuss the possibility of having my phone rooted using remote PC access (like goto my PC, I have these tools). I'd insist on compensation the right person for their time spent with a successful result,
Please drop me a message so we can discuss.
Thanks

Hi,
Look HERE
Thanks for the post. It looks like this link is for those that are willing to root their phone themselves. I'm hoping to rely on someone else's hands remotely and just use my hands for the steps that can't be done remotely

U can ask here what steps you don't understand and we will help you, I think you better do it by yourself so you can understand the process and make less mistakes afterwards... plus in any case you would like to revert it you would know what to do...

if youre going to rely on someone else to root your phone, just know that you will also have to rely on that same person/someone else if your phone ever starts to have problems or acts funny. its best to do the job yourself and take your time to READ EVERYTHING. it all may seem like useless information at first, but in the end itll save your butt. and you wont have to rely on someone else or start pointing fingers if something bad happens, only yourself
Quite a funny thread.
I think you're best of getting an iphone.

For the record don't assume this request comes from laziness. My success in life has been in part because I put no ego into knowing what I do well and what I do not and knowing where that line is. Also knowing when I should fix something in my home and when, for me, looking for a contractor would lead to a better result.
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using xda premium
sounds like you don't need root anyway
The results I'm looking for are. To remove bloatware, move apps to the sd card that normally can't be moved, be rooted so I can use titanium to fully back up my phone.
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using xda premium
Its not that difficult just try is scary at first but the stuff here on xda an the support you get are endless an they are rite its better you do this yourself so you know where you stand plus you will need adb setup on your computer before you even start you'll find that when you go to unlock the bootloader.I used the all in one tool box to get root an recovery look it up if it doesn't work then it just doesn't work there's very little risk in harming your device its really not that hard give it try

Rooting your phone is kind of like building your own computer, it's a good thing to do if you're willing to learn. Most of the process is learning how your phone works, and if you don't know how to root it, how are you going to fix it when something goes wrong. Listen to everyone's advice.
First off thanks you to all those that have taken their time so far to share their thoughts and advise. I'm getting the picture that what I'm looking for isn't how it works. I was hoping rooting could be approached like car ownership. Some owners like to fiddle under the hood, learn all the things that can be done. Others just are users, they only want to learn what is needed to operate the car as designed. The third type are those that are willing to open the hood but tinker with just those things that are simple, safe, and reversible. More then users, less then mechanics. I was hoping this last category was possible for my objectives in regards to rooting but it appears not from the postings so far.

Problem is that if you run into an issue a few months from now that stemmed from flashing something, chances are that person that helped may have moved on to another phone and you could be in the same boat trying to get someone to help, but it can be more severe and time urgent than it is now. I think the stickies in the general and dev forums r really good at educating and easy to follow.

Based on your requirements.. It seems you don't want to get your phone data lost. I'm mentioning this because the easiest process causes factory reset of the phone thus you will lose all app data and phone data. (but you want root to backup data right?)
If you don't want to lose the data but to achieve what you wanted.. The method will be kinda hard.. That is SOFF without htc-Dev... Guide Link is in my signature... The hardest part of this process is wire trick.. Which can't be done remotely.. Has to be done by you only.. Rest of the setup is breeze... So if you want I can help you through initial setup but as I said the wire trick has to be done by you.. Also the process takes repetition tries which might take up hours too
Sent from my HTC Sensation using xda premium
It took me literally minutes to s-off my sensation and to install a custom rom. OP just read the stickies and you'll be fine. Just remember when doing the wire trick;
Put wire in and say quickly "one two"
Quickly remove wire and quickly put it back in and quickly say "two two hundred" and you'll be s-off in seconds
