Smartphonegurus Mega Review - HTC Sensation 'V' Samsung Galaxy SII

We’ve now produced a 'Mega' review of the HTC Sensation and Samsung Galaxy SII going head to head on all aspects of the phones. We thought you may be interested in reading the review. It starts:
Recently two new 'super phones' have been unleashed into the marketplace on the Android platform and thanks to our good friends at O2 UK we've been given the chance to produce a head-to-head review of both machines. We are of course talking dual core here and that means the Sensation from HTC and the Galaxy SII from Samsung.
Both machines are dual core with embedded graphics processors on board but they are designed in different ways with respect to the hardware and seemingly the end user market. The Sensation uses a half-shell body design and appears at first glance to be a big brother to the Desire S. The Galaxy SII is constructed from plastic and follows on from the hardware first encountered in the original Galaxy S model.
As we move through the review we'll look in turn at the differences in hardware and the custom user interfaces employed by the manufacturers, looking at the positive and negatives of each machine. The aim being not to show which is the 'best in class' machine, but to enable you to make up your own mind as to which machine would suit you as a prospective owner.

Would need some advice for buying an old (Or Used) Android device under 300Euros

Hey all. Thx in advance for assisting me.
Its going to be soon my 3 years with my girlfriend. My GF smartphone is done, ( Jiayu G3C ) she will need a new one really soon.
I was thinking to gift her with an old but still solid smartphone. I have currently a Galaxy S4 I9005. I´m thinking to buy her a Galaxy s5 Mini, Im not sure it is the best choice of a smartphone costing under 300Euros i´m scared its too obsolete and lacking power for Android 6.0, the smartphone can be used I don´t mind
Another concern would be if my galaxy s4 is faster (More fluid) than the s5 Mini have not a clue ( I can have for 260Euros a new S4 and 240Euros a S5Mini) . The water proof thing is cool in all but not the most important. the smartphone need to be under 5" screen and be 100% fluid fast other than that camera or sensors are just extra but not needed.
Thanks a lot if you reached here Best regards Peps

Does the J7 (2016) support Quick Charge?

Looking online, I've found contradicting information.
Can someone tell me whether the J7 (2016) supports Quick Charge? I have the J710, but it should be the same as the rest of the family, I would imagine.

Anyone Remember Samsung Group Play Video Sharing?

Anyone Remember Samsung Group Play Video Sharing? That had to be one of the coolest features on a phone but was only short lived on the Galaxy Note 4. It was where you could connect up to 4 Galaxy Note 4's to create 1 BIG screen between the phones for a better viewing experience. Has anyone since figured out a way to do it on any other phone? I can only imagine how that would look on today's phones. Especially the S8+. If anyone knows how to accomplish something like that, please let me know!

Samsung has gotten rid of alot of those "gimmicky" features
It's kind of sad really. I don't remember which company it was that was copying this but it apparently works like Group Play. People don't actually bother caring about "gimmicks" or "bloat" on Samsung phones. Most of those features are really useful. Stuff like Air View was actually useful in the browser after enabling a flag. It annoys me when Apple copies features from Android devices and only manages to have a positive reaction is because they are Apple. People probably didn't use Group Play which is why Samsung removed it. The same goes for Air View, Air Gesture, Smart Pause and Smart Stay. Perhaps the implementation wasn't that good. There's nothing AFAIK that can replace Group Play.
Group Play was awesome. Had my Note 4, Galaxy S5 and Note 10.1 2014 Edition all linked up to play music. Sad its now forgotten.
Revisiting this question in 2019 where the idea of such an app is just amazing. Just think of the possibilities with true bezel less displays all over the place.
If any developer is reading this please up vote this post or tell me a place where I can make a request.

Pixel 2? Galaxy S8? S9? Help!

Hi All.
I apologize if this is in the wrong section.
I am leaving the iPhone for good and going back to Android, which I left after a disasterous experience with the Galaxy S2. My current choices for a new phone are as follows: Google Pixel 2, Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S9. I’m not going to be doing indepth items such as rooting, themes, etc. Just want something that is reliable, works accurately, etc.
I am leaning towards the Pixel 2, HOWEVER, I talked to someone this am who said the Pixel 2 has had a lot of screen issues & that is the reason why Google provides a 2 yr screen warranty. But then the famous ‘bloatwear’ that ppl talk about when it comes to the Samsung Galaxy side along with a Bixby button that you can’t disable makes me lean away from Samsung.
Any input is appreciated.
Thanks.:good:
