stuck
Governor: ondemand
ROM: cm 10.1 preview 2
Overclocking: stuck at 1.9
Undervolt: don't mess with that
Everytime i try to underclock or go to 1.5 ghz it just shoots back up to max. Other than that great job

1.83ghz overclock stable voltage
Love this kernel but just cant stay stable on 1.83ghz, I heard that this clock likes a specific voltage on this forum, anyone know what voltage it works best at? I tried stepping it down a little and still kept freezing

There are 2 other 4.2.2 kernels. You decided to choose a 4.2.2 kernel that is in beta, and released 3 months ago. Mind trying Marla or Moretz?

There are much newer builds of this kernel in the hercules forum. You could flash those, just you might have rotation issues if you don't keep the skyrocket rotation files (PM me for more info).
Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2

Ill try the hercules ones, mortez I don't think can go to 1.83ghz, that is really pushing it for the phone didn't expect it to be doable when it did work though I did see a performance gain from 1.78ghz and not a lot of heat being generated either, had it stable overvolted 1375mv for a little to then it died on me in a 3d game -_-

My only issue with these kernels is that i can never get the max frequency i want to stick. I've used setcpu and nofrills

This kernel realy stable (wifi etc) but isnt overclock (cpu gpu) drains so much battery? CPU is ok i can underclock it but what about GPU?
battery drain is heavy. after 13 hours is the battery at 15%. (fb, whatsapp, browser,...)
with lowkernel 1.0.1 at same time 30-40%

Use v06 and flash the post boot Script. No need to actually over clock with this kernel beast and still getting great battery life. 24 hours easily with 4 hours of screen time.

i flashed the extreme kernel (i think, this is the newest) modules and extrem script, but i don´t overclock min:192 max: 15xx
~6 hours: 192mhz
~6 hours deep sleep
reflash lowkernel and wait the battery drain
somebody tested the normal kernel with 2.21 RUU?
NOTE: After installing on Stock 2.21 RUU with newest radio causes black screen on reboot.
the boot script link isn't working. can some post a working link.

***** IMPORTANT *****
If you are using my ktoonservative governor with the Touchwiz JELLYBEAN version, you should rename /system/bin/qosmgr to /system/bin/qosmgr.bak to prevent battery drain
FYI: CM10 sometimes does not want to cooperate with the max Mhz settings from my scripts, since it is a beta ROM, so you will have to set it manually with "Voltage Control" or run the script I put in "/system/etc/init.d/00post-init"
Always do the following AFTER installing the kernel:
1. Clear cache
2. Clear dalvik
3. Fix Permissions

i really like the fact you asked for permission to post this here on xda..many times people dismiss that some dev disagree with the fact of distribute a kernel in all the place (for example like did ezeekeel on gnex etc..).now to the kernel, used it the day it came out and all i can say is that it's smooth and gave me very long battery time...reccomended to everyone also if it's in initial stage|!:good:

nope. it runs smooth here.
Holy s#$t!! We have a Lean Kernel for the Nexus 7! Is there going to be a Leantweaks script to go along with this? I have been using Lean on my Sprint and unlocked GSM Galaxy Nexus running 920 max and I can't even tell its underclocked. I am also able to run 230 or even 180 minimum so I can't wait to see where this goes! Many thanks Imoseyon

just flashed this kernel and will give it a try..
one thing i noticed though..
while in first boot after flashing, "No-frills CPU Control" reported a max 1.5 GHz and min 204 MHz (which should be max 1.3 GHz as i read from the thread by the kernel developer)..
and after some time (without reboot), it reported max 700 MHz and min 204 MHz..
is this a kernel problem and "No-frills CPU Control" problem?

[KERNEL-CM10A4] CrackerizerKernel - Final

Hello,
Before start working on the kernel 3.0 branch, I think we should have a good kernel for CM10A4 because 3.0 would take a while. So, I created this kernel.
Release:
Final - Jan 2, 2013
This is the final release. Only minor optimization are included. Dhiru already patched all necessary code to his kernel. I though about backporting DSSCOMP and ION but it seems not worth it. From now on I'll focus on the 3.0 branch. Happy new year to all.
R1 - Dec 28, 2012
Overclock to 1.35GHz but boot at stock (Vurrut)
No signal fixed (loSconosciuto)
Noop, CFQ, SIO schedulers
Various governors
Based on Dhiru CM10 kernel
How to flash:
- Download it to your storage
- Reboot to recovery
- Flash it as a zip file.
How to restore to stock:
Download and flash "kernel-cm-10-A4-restore.zip" from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2029921
Disclaimer:
As always, It is your responsibility to use this. I wouldn't take any blame.
All credits are given to:
- Dhiru
- Vurrut
- XDA_Bam
- loSconosciuto
- Adi_Pat
- UtterChaos
kool will give it a try
Features??
Thanks. But please post details such as governors and IO schedulers, boot @ 1GHz etc.
now we have 3 devs working on kernel 3.0 ))really nicee
:good:
Guys, try it out. If you don't like it, you can reverse to standard CM10A4 anytime.
Thanks for this crackerizer. I Was just recently thinking about the lack of an overclock kernel for Alpha 4 and you came up with this. Great job! :highfive:
Just the type of steriods needed right now
Thanks bro
Flashing it right away
Edit: kernel works properly, no issues yet.
rom is now much smother
Will report battery after 2-3 cycles.

1200MHz - very unstable
When I was on bam kernel (gingerbread), my phone was very stable (OC 1200), no random reboots or something like that.
On this kernel - 5min and 3 reboots and a lot of FCs :/
Edit:
1100MHz = the same problems like on 1200 and 1300

For me it's quite the opposite. On Bam Kernel or Vurrut my phone use to lock up as soon as OC applied to 1.35GHZ. Now it stays without any problem.
Ha thanks for the super team of developers. Now the room is smoother than ever(until 3.0)thanks to the overclock and stuff. Plus great there is the signal fix with it.

Mine running at 1.35Ghz without any problem (the phone is a little hotter than other speed). I do a lot of gaming (most are 3D).
Is your phone stable at stock speed? I think some phones may not be able to overclock.

Rom is definitely smoother and with OC games lag way less....
But got one feedback on the camera. Image preview is very much distorted.Too many flickers.(during video recodring too)
Never had this issue in the stock kernel or loSconosciuto's signal fix kernel.
can you please look into the issue ? and can someone else confirm this ?

No, this kernel is unstable even on 1000MHz
and,
as I said, on gingerbread 1200MHz (BAM kernel) was very stable, without any FCs and reboots, so my phone is able to OC.

If its unstable don't use it. U might risk the chances of burning your chip .

It depends on the hardware you have, try a different OC or roll back.

[KERNEL][3.0.61] Nibbles v0.1.4 (CPU OC/UV, GPU OC, big.LITTLE) (2/8/13) [TEAM ROOK]

Nibbles Kernel v0.1.4
Base: Team Fah-Q's Lightning Zap (Original Version)
Linux Version: 3.0.61
Overview:
I originally made this exclusively for the Nibbles ROM just to see if I could do it. I've had countless messages asking to release this as a separately supported Kernel for the SR. So, here it is. This is the version currently included in the Nibbles ROM and I intend to keep them in sync. To those of you that bugged the crap out of me about this new thread ... here you go ... enjoy.
Compatibility:
AOSP / CM10 ROMs / JellyBean / Non-Touchwiz ROMs
Samsung Skyrocket, Hercules and T-989 (you will need rotation fix for 989 - don't ask me for it)
Features:
CPU Speeds up to 1.782GHz
Under/Over Voltage Support
GPU Over Clocked (based on which you choose to download)
ARM big.LITTLE Topology
1.5GHz Fast Boot
USB Fast Charge
Added Governors
Added I/O Schedulers
MSM mpdecision
Lots of other changes and tweaks.
CPU Governors:
intellidemand, pegasusq, gallimaurfy, interactivex, smartassv2, wheatley, interactive, conservative, userspace, ondemand (tweaked slightly), performance
I/O Schedulers:
noop, deadline, cfq, sio, vr, bfq, zen
Init.d Scripts:
smart zipalign at boot
governor (ondemand tweaks) - edit as necessary
systweaks
vacuum sqlite db optimization
Notes:
First boot may be slow as zipalign and sqlite tweaks run for the first time.
Installation will wipe cache and dalvik.

A brief guide on how to include this in your own CM10 ROM.
Add the following to your local_manifest.xml:
<project name="carvsdriver/msm8660-common_nibbles" path="kernel/samsung/msm8660-common" remote="github" revision="jb-nibbles" />
<project name="carvsdriver/vendor_nibbles-kernel" path="vendor/nibbles-kernel" remote="github" revision="master" />
Next, you'll need to update your cm.mk file with this:
$(call inherit-product, vendor/nibbles-kernel/nibbles-kernel.mk)

thomas.raines & Team Fah-Q for the original LZ kernel, answering tons of my questions and for being a good guy in general.
Team ROOK for being awesome
Team Cyanogenmod for CM10
m4570d0n
Stuff in the works:
Revamped GPU clocks... I found that 3D @ 320 / 2D @ 228 seems to work pretty well and has a relatively good balance. The 2D GPU doesn't like being clocked beyond 228 at all.
Some governor work - likely will remove ondemand and conservative since they're effectively pointless with the other governors present.
And anything else I feel like screwing with ...
First!!!!!! Oh yes I'm cool. Pffft bwahahahaha looks good enough to flash. Will report later
Just flashed the moderate gpu oc version on Slim Bean. Very fast and smooth with smartassv2/sio and 1.62ghz oc. Thanks for all you do, sir.

best kernel so far . the only reason i didn't switch to tw ROM. interactiveX and smart V2 are the best two
Been on this kernel for a while, just finally made the decision to uv - 50mv on every clock speed, no stability problems so far, gotta say I'm really liking how my phone feels running this kernel though

Nice work. The wipes in the updater script is a great.
Since this is based off of LZ did you keep the voltages that Thomas was using(-50) or did you return them to stock? Just wanna know what I'm really UVing by.

That's the thing. I can't find a stock voltage table. I looked in Faux old kernel thread and he has a voltage table but I don't know whether it's for the base of his kernel or stock values. Of course system tuner won't let you check until you have a kernel flashed that allows user defined voltage. So if the DEV already dropped the stock values that's what you'll see. Anyone know the stock voltages? Or an app that let's you check stock voltage?

Great work! Smooth and quick! I am beginning to think that the problem I have with incorporating this kernel into my PACman ROM has to do with this building smoothly with CM ROMs. I realize that PAC has CM in it, but for some reason, the build does not compile Nibbles or LZ in the process, no matter what I do. Somewhere in the process, it reverts back to CM stock. I've altered dependancies and everything else, and always the same result. But, I digress. You are putting out top-notch work and everyone appreciates it! Be cool

I wish we could use a custom kernel on the un-official Miui Android rom port for the Skyrocket.
having amazing results with my -50 uv everywhere so far, completely stable, ondemand/sio/1.51or1.72Ghz everything is smooth as can be thanks, gonna start experimenting with a bit more uv and other governors and comparing performance/battery life
