If you sucessfully relocked make sure you're getting the right ruu maybe try a diff usb port or comp what's the error you're getting... If you didn't succesfully relock select recovery in hboot and wipe data and flash cm

Hi, rather than starting a seperate thread I'd like to add on that I have the same problem
Quick history, I got a HK One XL (I'm in Aus), unpacked it and joined to wifi, started doing software updates from within the phone and the second update seems to have bricked it.
I would rather stick with RUU roms for now and I've tried applying the linked HK one using the AIO kit but get the same signature error
Would anyone be able to assist?

I don't know if I trust a magical unicorn button to press to relock bootloaders and root my phone. In fastboot try this.
Fastboot erase cache
fashboot oem lock
then try running the RUU again. triple check you have the proper RUU.

Because you are S-ON you need to manually flash the boot.img from the rom your trying to flash by using the following command:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
Also there is a guide around here about flashing ROM's with S-ON
---------- Post added at 02:20 AM ---------- Previous post was at 02:15 AM ----------
Oh and Ive just seen the attachment - you still have GB firmware so you need to download the 3.33.401.6 ICS RUU from Football's Shipped ROM Collection thread in the dev section and install that because AFAIK you cant flash firmware manually whilst S-ON, it can only be done via an RUU

Ok..
connect your phone in bootloader/fastboot to pc (the phone should read fastboot usb after this.. If it is showing
" hboot" then press power button once that would take you to "fastboot usb")
Once connected.. Open command window from your adb/fastboot folder
And type this
fastboot getvar all
Post the complete output of the above command.. Except imei and serial number
Then I can see your current situation and can help you further
(also FYI fastboot oem unlock won't work.. That's not the command to do unlock.. Check htc-dev site)

you cant run ICS roms as of now ..as your firmware is still old one ...i.e. of ginger bread one
so if you now wanted a bootlable phone ..find some GB rom ..and flash it as you did earlier (flash via recovery and then manually flashing boot.img)
if you want ICS rom ..then its tedious process for you
1.first you cant update firmware while Being SON (mark my words and ignore if anyone said to update to 3.32/3.33 firmware when they know you are SON)
2.first you need to soff... you need to relock the bootloader and then should try revolutionary
(unlocking is easy process ..just get the Unlock_code.bin to adb/fastboot folder and fastboot flash unlocktoken Unlock_code.bin)
3.if revolutionary failed with zerg root failed error ..(cant do root ..something error )... you need to unlock the bootloader again
flash the stock recovery...using this post
4.after having stock recovery .relock bootloader again and you need to try revolutionary with tacoroot ..which is automated in this tool
5.once you got SOFF flash the 3.33 universal firmware ...firmware link here
6.then flash a custom recovery (preferably 4EXT ) and then your custom ICS ROM
SLOVED
thanks to everybody. Now my sensation is alive again.

[Q] Bricked phone?

Hey,
I have a HTC Sensation which hasn't been switched on for about a year. I recently decided to blow the dust off it and have a play around however when I powered it on it is constantly cycling. It lights up and then restarts. After about the 10th restart I get the HTC logo and then it just sits there without moving any further forward.
When I used the phone last it was rooted and also had the bootloader unlocked and the Clock Work Mod is installed (whatever version was the newest a year ago). If I attempt to access CWM I can see the screen flash up but then the device resets.
Attempting to flash it by the HTC updater fails due to it not finding the phone.
Anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks!

are you sure you own a sensation device?
because sensation devices corresponds to PYRAMID and yours says ACE instead of
also hboot version and radio are pretty weird for sensation device
anyway if you want to flash a rom from recovery unlock the bootloader again
that's preventing you to flash custom roms

Hey rzr86,
Thanks for the assistance. As I mentioned in the first post I can't enter recovery it was just popping the screen up then resetting.
I also mentioned that after about 10 restarts the HTC boot screen came up. So, following on from that I simply kept the volume down button pressed for the 10 cycles and the bootloader eventually came up. From there, RUU has successfully updated my device and it's working again.
Thanks again!!
dadoremix,
Good luck fixing your phone. Maybe next time don't hijack someone else's thread though eh?
Youtube or google for a fix its not fully bricked yet.

sensation devices's model ID starts with PG
about the error you can't use a ruu.exe with lower firmware version than yours while you are on S-ON

OK so I am going to answer you before u are strangled. Your problem is hboot 2.14 is not the latest. You need 2.15. To get it you run a 3.18 ruu I think. Easy option is to load beastmode kernel.
And always search before posting. This has been mentions thousands of times in the forums.

The RUU you tried to flash is an older one. You were trying to go backwards. Since you do NOT have superCID you can run this one and get back to stock: http://dl3.htc.com/application/RUU_..._10.130.32.34_release_signed_With_Partial.exe
Edit: This RUU matches you CID
After that runs, you will need to reflash your recovery in bootloader.
Then I would recommend getting S-Off: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2540232
You should do this because Sense Roms run smoother with Hboot 2.15 and you need S-Off to do this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2517148&highlight=ruu
Hopefully this helps.

If you need help getting S-OFF or any other ROM's, Kernels or rooting the phone, my friend and I have complete a toolkit for most HTC phones that you can find here that will easily take care of any question you have or do things you may not know how to.

slemankurdi has to accomplish the RUU first which is not included in the toolkit. I acknowledge that Wizzrah put a lot of work into the toolkit but he will tell you himself that using a toolkit without understanding what you are doing is not a good idea.

He is S-Off and has the right CID for the RUU I suggested. A 3.18 RUU should run fine.

Your don't need a toolkit to get s-off. Getting s-off is simple.
I appreciate the work that's gone into the toolkit but they bypass some much needed learning. Without the experience gained by doing things manually users can almost never recover when they have problems in future.

Ok, you're on the right track but not quite right. There's no reason the phone wouldn't boot with his current setup. You don't need any special firmware just to get it to boot. The 2.15 firmware is only required to stop reboots and signal drops once the ROM has booted. Also, the 3.18 RUU doesn't contain the 2.15 firmware, it contains the 2.14 firmware. The 2.15 firmware is a flashable zip found in Turge's stock Sense 5 ROM thread.

I think the reason Viper kept rebooting is probably because you didn't flash the boot.img with fastboot, did you? You need to do this if you're s-on. Right now you should run the 3.18 RUU, then flash a custom recovery again, then flash Viper and remember to flash the boot.img with fastboot.

Thanks Wizzrah. I suppose I was speaking for you there and I apologize. I meant to type "He probably will tell you...".
I still appreciate you helping me out several months ago before you built that fancy tool kit. It looks pretty impressive and I know you put a lot of hard work into it. I'm still amazed that you spend so much time connecting with folks in real time solving their issues.

Every time I help someone personally, we always end up talking about life and other stuff. When you connect with someone, it's an amazing feeling. Not only do I get them a "new" phone, but in return I get a new pen pal lol. I try to make my toolkits as engaging as possible and I teach them what everything does and why. At the end of the session, every person ends up with a rooted, s-off, evita and knows Adb and fastboot commands. I like to consider myself more lenient in the fact that I'll help someone with something rather then redirecting them to another forum. I feel like tech support in a way Thanks for the input.

You are actually S-ON, that means you can only flash a RUU of same version as installed or a newer one + you need an RUU specific to your CID. I'm gonna try finding a fitting RUU.

Hello, I have similar issue with my phone. Everytime phone starts automatically in fastboot mode, recovery is not available. What can I do to fix my HTC One S (S4)? Was it good RUU?
When I go to fastboot mode, and type command in cmd, it always gives "device not found" or "signature verify fail" and I can't do anything.
Can somebody help me please?

Coz ur s-on u will need to flash the boot.img straight after flashing a rom. Boot.img is inside the rom zip. So steps are -
1) Boot recovery
2) Full wipe
3) Flash rom (and gapps if using aosp roms)
4) Boot straight into fastboot
5) Flash boot.img
6) Reboot
Command for flashing boot.img is -
fastboot flash boot boot.img

Someone can clone ur imei number and u would get phone bills for calls u never made or someone could just be a b****** and report a phone stolen then give ur imei number and ur phone would be blocked. They the 2 main reasons. So yh, never post ur imei number anywhere.
