{REVIEW} SGP Spigen Ultra Oleophobic Screen Protector - Nexus 4 Accessories

Hi all just thought i would give a small review on the SGP Spigen Ultra Oleophobic screen protector, to help any one out there make a decision if this would be good or not for them.
Contents
2 screen protectors
1 squegee
1 cloth
So ill go through the main points:
*Price : I paid $19.95 on eBay ( Australian prices ) this for me was not a large price to pay as ive used their products before and i know the quality that comes with them and what you get for your money. (two screen protectors )
*Ease of install : I found it super easy to install ive done it many time before... but if you guys need help this link will help.
*Once its on how does it fit? : fits great with 2 mm clearance around the front ear speaker and camera also it does not go down the sides... i liked the fact that it did not go down the curved sides because on my gs3 the screen protector would lift on the edge and then dirt would get underneath and make it look really bad.
*How does it feel? : the nexus 4 screen is the smoothest screen I have ever touched so naturally when I put the screen protector on that smoothness decreased not by much but I do feel a small grab every now and then when I my hands perspire or get clammy. Ive also noticed a small grab from the edge of the screen protector when swiping from the side ( but this was to be expexted ).
Other then that feel great.
*How does it look ? : clear , no rainbow , no blue tint , and no deformed spots or dust particles stuck in the screen protector as some cheaper once I had found have.
This is also not a matt screen protector so when in the sun it does mirror a little, but not to much more then what it was without the screen protector.
Another note is you do notice the sides of the screen protector because they dont go all the way to the sides but i would rather this then what i mentioned before.
so now for pics

You miss the main point..
how is the oil resisting ability of it?

I have not had any issues with it collecting oil or greese on the screen protector. Sorry sort of missed that part. None issue so I forgot to mention it.

I bought one of these and it was the hardest time I've ever had installing a screen protector. It is just barely wider than the screen so there is no room for error, and once I got it to match up with the screen, it was a little over the edge so it was lifting. I ended up just getting frustrated with it and going naked.

Diamond Back Plate Protector

Its cheapish and protects the back from scratching. Got one today and fitted it on easy just waiting for 24hours as suggested before I see better results.
From the feel of it, its the soft rubber type plastic.
So far I rate it as ok but I wait and if it dont work first time I have a second protector to try again.

I bought a full body Invisible shield and used that. Took of the front of the invisileshield because it was too grippy and didn't look as nice. Left the back and buttons with the invisshield and used an exim screen protector.
I have the exim screen protector too the spuc one. Good quality and very very clear. Shame they dont have the back cover protector would of been a better result than the one from ebay, it too is grippy as you say on the back.
So you advice us not to buy one?
Would like to know if it leaves any residue when you remove it?
heres a picture of the back protector, I dont think its fully dried yet but its ok some residue leaks from the edges. I have removed the first one off and washed it with abit of soap and nothing left behind.

Main thing it does is protect the back from scratches.
Here is the Screen protector eXim spuc fitted on. Very happy with it as with all my other phones using eXim spuc protectors.
As you can see its pretty much invisible only thing you can tell theres a protector is the top of the screen near the ear piece and the camera.
?????
I bought a Rubbery kind of case from a company called BOXWAVE.com...pretty cool I thought .....and I picked up a pen/laser/stylus too. Haven't got it yet ...but can't wait
Peace
Mike
I got my slip case for my diamond today. The back with the invisible shield makes it hard to pull out, way too grippy. Don't know if I want to keep the invisible shield on at all
Glad to see someone with the exim spuc protectors, they are REALLY GOOD. Had them on my last 3 phones.

[Review] Cleartouch Anti-Glare Screen Protector

I posted this on Amazon but thought I would also share it here. This forum has been a great resource for me. I also think my issues would apply to the clear version of the same brand.
I mistakenly ordered the anti glare screen protector when I intended to order the clear version. This was completely my fault and it is in no way reflected in my rating of this product. Having said that, if you are not specifically looking for an anti glare screen protector, then avoid this one.
The anti glare treatment really takes a lot away from using the device in every lighting situation, the colors are much more muted and the overall visual qualities of the phone are reduced considerably. Additionally, the texture of the screen protector is downright annoying, I can hear every movement of my finger, it feels like swiping on notebook paper. Again this is just my opinion and I didn't intend to order this product, so the disadvantages of the anti glare screen are just for your information.
The main reason for my low rating is that this screen protector is not shaped specifically for the Sensation 4G, and doesn't cover the entire screen of the phone. Basically this protector only covers the actual viewing area of the screen, and not the action buttons below or the logo area above the screen.
My problem here is that Cleartouch didn't even try to cover the whole glass, this protector is just a rectangle you slap in the middlle of the screen. It's not going to protect the outer edges or the home/menu/back keys. Combined with the inferior display quality, it just makes an otherwise slick-looking phone look terrible.
The second major issue relates to the curved screen. Even though this screen protector sits in the middle of the phone, the edges do overlap into the curved part of the screen enough to cause the protector to not stick to the sides, I keep having to re-press the protector down. I give it a week before an edge gets snagged on my pocket and pulls the whole protector off. You can see it here:

Unfortunately I will have to wait for a new screen protector to arrive before I can replace this one. I will not order the crystal version of this protector because of the two issues I mentioned above. I am going to give Skinomi a shot this time.
Positive points would be the included lint-free polishing cloth and card applicator. Both come in handly and especially considering how inexpensive this protector is they are both nice additions to the package.
I WAS a repeat Cleartouch customer, I had this brand screen protector on my G1 and my G2 phones, and both were high quality and custom cut for the phones, its the main reason I didn't think twice about ordering the Sensation 4G version. Oh well... I hope the Skinomi is better, it looks promising.

Review: 0.15mm Flexible Glass Screen Protector Only $5 (Cybertech)

So I was browsing Amazon and ebay for screen protectors and on both sites I came across this one for $5 and it sounded too good to be true. Well I went ahead and ordered it on ebay and I received it 5 days later.

Without further ado here are the pictures.

Seeing as my S5 already had a screen protector on it I didn't actually test this one out on my phone but...
I went ahead and bent it and to my surprise one I had bent it enough there was a quick and loud crack noise which resulted in what looks to be cracked glass in the protector. I did it a total of three times, same result each time.
It comes with the stuff pictured and a plastic piece on each side of it that needs to be peeled off before using it.
The back felt like it would adhere well to the phone screen like other glass protectors.
To be honest I don't know that it feels 100% like the glass protector already on my phone but I'm not even sure what I mean by that.
What I can say is it is every bit as slippery and there is no doubt in my mind it is genuinely glass from how it cracks.
The detailed camera and sensor cutouts are worth noting.
I'll conclude the review by saying I'd definitely recommend it, especially for only $5, and if I didn't already have a protector on my phone I would happily use one myself.
glass protector has gone down in price alot recently, it's not really surprising that you can get them for usd 5, i can actually get them for usd 2-3 each, and cheaper if i buy them in bulk, it all depends on the quality and, thickness and cut.
This screen protector is tempered glass type it's different from spigen that's why it's so cheap. I bought this thinking it would have a premium glass feel but honestly it feels like any other plastic screen protector

all spigen glass protectors are tempered glass.
I just installed this, and it does feel like glass. I had my doubts that it was actual glass when I opened the package. However the product does feel like glass once on the phone, with the proper finger tip drag and smoothness. It is as reflective as the bare screen.
Installation was the same as the glass protector on my Nexus 7, once contact was made it pulled itself down with only a few bubbles to push out. It took 5 minutes maximum, including removing the old plastic film.
It fits perfectly, with cut outs at the proper spots. I didn't bother with pics since it is barely visible.
I'm happy enough, it was cheap and seems to be what I was looking for. I didn't need impact protection as much as scratch resistance.
Cybertech 0.15mm Flexible Glass S5 screen protector

Great deal on good tempered glass, USD 8.99 for 3, 6.99 for 2

If you are in the US and especially if you have Amazon Prime (or get $25 order for free shipping):
XOXO MobileĀ® Premium Tempered Glass Screen Protector for Samsung Galaxy S4, $8.99 for 3 pack on Amazon
XOXO MobileĀ® Premium Tempered Glass Screen Protector for Samsung Galaxy S4, $6.99 for 2 pack on Amazon
I just installed one. It's 0.3mm, and comes with 3 complete installation sets which I think is a great icing on top! I only used 2 of the provided guide stickers. The tear-drop dust-grabber is a nice touch. I usually do this with painter's/masking tape, but it's great that Xoxo includes everything for the installation. It doesn't come with any button sticker but, really, it's not needed.
Compared to the one on my other S4, the 0.18mm HERO Glass ($16.99 for only 1, or 5.4x the price of Xoxo), I can't tell any difference, except the Xoxo is a bit more open on top next to the camera and sensors, where as the HERO has a tad more coverage on the top left and right corners (without covering the camera and sensors). I don't think HERO's extra coverage makes that much of a difference.
Here it is after the 5-minute installation, with perfect result:

Here's a 2 pack for $2 less, if you don't need 3.

I ordered the 2 pack on Friday and got it the next day with my prime account.
I've always wanted to try a glass screen protector and this was such a great price I couldn't pass.
Installation was beyond easy! If you've ever put on a soft screen protector you will be amazed and tell everyone how easy it was to install. After cleaning I dropped it on and tapped the middle of the screen and you watched it push all the air out on it's own.
The glass feels as smooth as the actual screen, edges are smooth and rounded, and now that the center button is recessed a little I don't accidentally press it when handling the phone.
Just bought a Tech Armor glass screen protector. Thing is amazing. I'll never go back to the plastic crap again. Such a breeze to install.

Best thin, grippy case and tempered glass screen protectors for V35/V30

Hey guys, I've had a V30S, and a V35 for the last 2+ years or so. I've tried a few cases, like the Ringke Fusion (smoke black), but in the end the very best one I liked and keep buying is this one (link below) I tend to keep my phone in my pocket a lot, and only take it out when I'm sitting for the most part, so I don't drop my phone often, so I don't want a bulky case, something to protect from scratches and help with grip mainly. This case is slim and minimal profile, so won't give the best drop protection but it's beautiful and functional. Choose V30 under model to get the correct version. The camera bump is a bit low in the cutout, but nothing is covered or obstructed at all. Here's an image of the case in the quote below.
The tempered glass is a UV tempered, so it requires application of a UV glue between the screen and the protector and UV curing. This method prevents the tempered lifting up easily from the curved edges of the screen. I've attached an image of mine in the quote as well to give an idea of fit. This protector covers just about everything that's not covered by this case, but the case won't lift the edges of the protector if the protector is centered correctly. Please note this protector has seen a year of abuse, and has slowly started lifting with bumps and the crack on the top right (hit it against my table couple days ago). When it was new it was perfectly flush without any air bubbles and stayed that way for quite a while. I may replace mine now, if so I'll post a pic with the new protector on once I get around to doing it!
In my humble opinion, this is the hands down best case and screen protector combo around for the V30 or V35.
