[Q] CM10.0 damaged SD card - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

Hello,
I am very new to all of this and any help would be appreciated. I just rooted and unlocked the bootloader on my verizon galaxy s3 for the first time without any issues (its my second android phone, but my first time rooting). for my first custom ROM i downloaded and flashed CM10.0.0-d2vzw and did everything through ROM mananger. everything went through cleanly, but since it finished i have had a message in my drawer that says the SD card is damaged and that i should try to reformat it. i have the card backed up on my desktop, so if i need to do that its okay, but i was wondering if this is something that happens when you flash new ROMs and if there is something i should have done differently through the process to avoid this and if there is anything i can do to fix it now. Thanks.

[Q] Rooting Desire HD using Advance Ace Hack Kit

Hello, I made a live Ubuntu. Did everything as it was written. The process started and stopped at writing 'zip'.. and didn't move any further. I have a 16gb micro sd card inside. What could be the problem? Should I use the stock sd that came with the phone? I read about changing the flash mode by pressing t for toggle...
I unplugged and restarted the phone. Now it is ok. I have a question? What could happen to the phone if the process is interrupted.
Also, how long should the process normally take? Thank you very much.
during the flash rom, unplugged it, I think that will not boot up properly, I'm sure ..
the whole process takes about 3 to 5 minutes, in part because it depends on the sdcard speed, as well as the set of rom initialization.
I just started the Ace kit
I am not doing flashing of rom yet... just trying to to do one step process using the kit.
HTC Desire HD
I have Android 2.3.3
someone help
with Sense 2.1 and software number 2.50.110.5. Did someone rooted this phone successfully? Should I use the stock 8gb card instead of new 16 gb?
How can I back up my current rom in case something goes wrong?
I would like to know the same, if someone with soft 2.50 managed to root it without downgrading?

SD Card caused startup problems?

I went to restart my Xoom Wifi a couple days ago because it wasn't detecting my local wifi signal and upon doing so it got stuck on the Motorola Dual Core screen.
I was able to access fastboot and send commands to it but could not get it to start up past the dual core screen.
I erased everything on my xoom, reset it to factory and still nothing. I downloaded RSD Lite and flashed what I thought was the US stock ROM and nothing happened...until I pulled out my SD card.
Now it boots all the way and has not issues running. If I put the SD card back in, problems start up again. What in the hell caused my SD card to do this?
So I'm also stuck back on Honeycomb 3.2 and it says my Xoom is up to date?
I guess this is as good a time as any to root and put a different ROM on it.
Has anyone had these issues? If I wasn't clear, this was a stock Xoom Wifi I hadn't done anything to it. I'd been using the SD card for about a month and then this happened.
I think it is a good time for you to root it and flash ICS 4.0.4 custom Rom fro EOS on your wifi xoom.
For the SD Card issue, try to format it first or try another one just to test.
To root and flash ICS ROM, the best out there, use this:

Good Luck...

While having root access and being rom'd might be a way to go... You should also try formatting your sd card. Perhaps it is corrupted and that is messing with your xoom. Honeycomb doesn't write to the sdcard without root in 3.2 and doesn't even look at the sdcard in 3.0, which is probably why honeycomb is working for you.

[Q] What do I do if I formatted modem?

Hi all, I'm a newbie so I'm really unfamiliar with this stuff
I have a Galaxy S3 i9305 that used to be rooted and installed with Cyanogenmod 10.1, but recently I decided to start anew and formatted everything in cwm recovery. Then, I flashed samsung stock rom android 4.3 (I9305XXUEML8) and gapps for 4.3, but the rebooting suddenly seems longer and the phone cannot detect a sim card, hence, no network. Moreover, there is no notification whatsoever when I plug the device into the com, except showing the charging notification light. It can also hang randomly after I turn the screen on. The phone is not rooted anymore and has stock recovery. I have a feeling this is because I formatted /modem or /tombstone. The phone is not very old so I believe it isn't a problem with the card slot or anything. Is there any way to solve this problem? Thanks a lot if anyone can help!
Try reflashing stock rom, it might work
And if didn't, try to flash pit file for your device
Hit Thanks if I helped sent from my SM-T211
try to flash your baseband probably could work
It's working!
I fixed it thanks i went to this post (http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...warning-guide-backup-restore-imei-nv-t1946915) and it was pretty useful. thanks to the people who helped anyway

[Q] Huawei U8860 doesn't do "DLOAD" flashes and fails to recognize SIM card

Hello all.
I would like to ask this in this thread but I still have no permissions to write there. :crying:
I succesfully rooted my U8860 and installed TWRP. Also every custom ROM installation from the thread above works. Unfortunaly since I installed a custom ROM the phone doesn't recognize the SIM card anymore. It just sais "no SIM installed". I tried to fix this with setting up own APN entries but without any results.
Then I wanted to go back to Stock ICS 4.0.3, because the SIM works there. But the update process stops after approx. 30%. Also the downgrade patch hangs after 60%.
So, there I am. Read a lot of hints and tryed everything except of this: formating the partition in pink mode. I am a little afraid of making it worse with loosing the IMEI and/or MAC Address.
Would be nice if anybody has the solution for getting back to ICS or the SIM working on other ROMs.
Thank you!
Greetz,
Vijabei
