Where to get a BB10 device in the US? - General Questions and Answers

Where can I get an unlocked blackberry z10 in the US from?

eBay

You'll have to order from an international online retailer, but you'll have to wait until March to get a US LTE compatible Z10. The international HSPA+ versions have the TI OMAP 4470 while the US variants will have the Snapdragon S4.

How to tell if your S3 is genuine?

I know there are a lot of knock off brands for the S3 - how can you tell 100% to be sure its genuine Samsung (If it bought from ebay or some other method rather than paying $800 for a phone that should cost $300) *flamesuiton*
Make sure the seller isnt in China. Do that and you are pretty much golden
The quality. Especially the screen. It's hard to accurately fake a high end phone.
And the quad core international version would only work on HSPA+ / GSM networks in the US correct? I'm on Verizon and trying to find the quad core LTE version but it looks like it doesn't exist.

This is correct. There was a quad core LTE GS3 in Korea but I believe that was also for HSPA+/GSM networks.

Is the North American Note 5 all-bands universal LTE?

I'm asking this because I'm thinking of the upcoming Moto X Pure which will support "all" North American LTE bands, making it a universal carrier phone. If I could buy any unlocked North American Note 5 and bring it to Verizon, that would get around the locked bootloader on the Verizon version of the device. Has anyone checked what LTE bands the NA N5 supports yet?
doubt it

No they are not universal. Different carriers use different frequencies. Sounds like the Moto plans are being capable of all those frequencies.

Using the US variant in Europe (UK)

If as expected, the US variant of the s7 comes with the snapdragon, and the European version with Exynos, will it be possible to use the unlocked us version in europe with a uk sim card?
I only ask because I'm thinking of getting one, however I'm not really interested in the exynos due to the inability to create AOSP roms for it
Thanks.
I really hoped it would work.
Depends on the source. It'll have to be GSM to be used in Europe. So you'll have to buy either the international, AT&T, or T Mobile variants I would guess

Actually Verizon could be an option too. We have to see complete specs of each variant but many times Verizon phones have most LTE bands. On the other side Tmobile phones usually come with unlocked bootloader.
Yeah. Too soon to know fully at this stage. Ah the waiting game.
To be fair, a lot of times in the past they've release the snapdragon variant in the UK as well, but you could still always get the Exynos versions imported by shops on eBay for the same price pretty much.

Anyone got any updates for this? Confirmed that only the US gets snapdragon and that's the one I want.
If it helps, o2 in the uk uses:
900 MHz GSM/GPRS/EDGE 2G
1,800 MHz GSM/GPRS/EDGE 2G
900 MHz UMTS/HSDPA/HSPA+/DC-HSPA+ 3G
2,100 MHz UMTS/HSDPA/HSPA+/DC-HSPA+ 3G
800 MHz LTE 4G
Also, does it matter if the verizon one comes with a locked bootloader? Can't it just be unlocked?
any news on the Snapdragon variant? I really hope it's not US Exclusive as i am not a fan of Exynos.
Check your info. UK is getting Snapdragons

Incorrect. I saw an unboxing video of a UK model and the box said Octa Core on it. Definitely Exynos in the UK.
USA and China only territories to get S820.
UK is getting Exynoss, this has been verified. Early reports said it would get SD820 but those were corrected by Samsung and retail partners.

Should I wait for the US version, or buy an international one?

Should I wait for the US version of this phone, or buy an international one? Will it be any differences in specs or in 4G/LTE bands for the US version? And how long does it usually take between the international release and US release? Thanks!
The only two bands across T-Mobile and AT&T that I see missing from gsmarena specs are Band 30 (AT&T, not sure how important this is) and Band 71 (hardly any phones have this, so should not miss it)
The rest (Bands 2,4,5,12,17,66) seem to be supported
I've seen these specs, but they are selling now several variants - South American and some others, and it's hard to know what bands they have because models numbers are different than on GSM arena site....

I have the A70 and it's a South American version and I love it. You'll probably never notice a difference ever, with the exception of Samsung pay.
That will not work with phones outside your home region.
If that doesn't bother you than go for it.
If it does bother you than wait... or wait a bit longer for the 5G version that's just around the corner.
5G version on the way.

Just make sure that the phone you buy has the right frequencies ....Example SM-A515W (Canada) would work whereas SM-A515GN/DS might not.
spend some research time on the frequencies and you'll be fine ....
If you buy from B&H Camera they make it simple and have international versions that work here.
Hope tha helps.
Thanks! Where do they sell Canadian version? Also, is there a website with a listing for model numbers for all countries variants, I couldn'r find one....

Question s22 ultra snapdrgon

Does anyone know where i can buy a s22 ultra snapdragon ? i live in the east coast usa
Any US carrier branded S22 has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8Gen1. Also, an unlocked device purchased directly from Samsung for the US market will have the Snapdragon chipset.
You can buy it from Amazon.

Just want to add the US version can't be bootloader unlocked or rooted, even the unlocked version from Samsung (model s908u/u1)
I bought a s908e through Amazon and I'm also eastern US, rooting was easy.. thanks to the awesome devs here
