Question s22 ultra snapdrgon - Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra

Does anyone know where i can buy a s22 ultra snapdragon ? i live in the east coast usa

Any US carrier branded S22 has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8Gen1. Also, an unlocked device purchased directly from Samsung for the US market will have the Snapdragon chipset.

You can buy it from Amazon.

All US versions regardless of carrier are Snap Dragon 8 Gen1

Edited my reply to include unlocked device, direct from Samsung purchase.

Just want to add the US version can't be bootloader unlocked or rooted, even the unlocked version from Samsung (model s908u/u1)
I bought a s908e through Amazon and I'm also eastern US, rooting was easy.. thanks to the awesome devs here

OP7PRO international model vs US unlocked model

If I were to buy the international variant from gearbest, what is the different from buying US model from the official OnePlus US website. I'm in the USA. Is it the same model actually? Less band support for TMobile? Just wondering bc there might be a better deal there
Thanks

No warranty.
It is the same model but not the same variant.
It has slightly different hardware.
Usually, you get a Chinese model flashed with OxygenOS. (Chinese come with HydrogenOS).
It will not be the GM1917 and some bands will be missing.
Not sure which ones, but if you had Verizon, it may or may not work.
Unless you're saving mega bucks (which I doubt) stick with the USA site for OnePlus for warranty issues should they arise. Also, as mentioned, this way you will be sure to get all the LTE bands you may need.

Where to buy Note 20 Ultra Snapdragon 865+?

Hi, I live in europe and here is only the exynos version, where to buy the snapdragon version to be compatible with our networks? Wonda Mobile?
I am also interested by this...
Me too. Here in Uruguay they only import the Exynos versions... and we all now how bad they are.

Historically the Snapdragon version NEVER supports Dual-Sim, sad but true
That's not true, s20 ultra Hongkong version is snapdragon with dual sim

Doesn't support all the bands needed in some places..........well, not for the US anyhow, not sure about where you are.
In Slovakia, support all band for me

Was chatting with support to get a different person to confirm US version is single sim, and it is. Asked him about the HK version, said it would be single sim as well...........but here's to hoping he's wrong on both counts.
As far as I know, there is a difference between the US model and the HK model. For the European networks, the HK model works better.
The Note 20 Ultra no longer has two physical sim slots. If you want a double sim then you need a Sim + eSim.
a think only snapdragon version is in US , HK will by exynos this time

where did you get that information about HK being exynos? its been snapdragon for years...please put up a link to the information
thanks
Considering the S20 Ultra, the HK or China unlocked versions SM-N9860 will be the best bet.
Guys I live in Europe (Greece) and I wanna buy the snapdragon version but I'm not sure from where. Is wondamobile safe? And if yes then which version is the best to buy? I don't care about dual sim. And here in Greece we don't even have 5G yet.
Plus one more question. In my country if you preorder note 20 ultra before 20th of August you get buds live for free. Does that work in other countries too?

Is there a way to make the 5G of my US variant Note 20 Ultra to work in another country?

I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G bought from the US (SM-N986U1) and I am currently in the Philippines. Is there any way I can make the 5G work here? If currently there is no way, would you think there will be in the near future?
Depends if the 5g bands are the same in both countries (and operators), you'd need to check that.
You could try the whitelisting method used on the Hong Kong variants which allows 5g use in Europe. Google it.
This is interesting part. I've been thinking about this not long time ago. My idea is as HK variant has same chipset etc, except storage with USA variant. So I believe it possible in some way to enable hidden or locked 5G bands on USA variant.
Not possible make to work because it do not support bands used bands and combinations used in Philippines: https://cacombos.com/device/SM-N986U

hi mate just for knowing, i had this idea to import myself a broken note 20 ultra 5g US variant, you said that the 5G is not working. Did the 4g,3g or 2g worked for you? im from italy and i found on ebay a good priced phone, but now im scared that the network will not work for me. i found the philippines band chart with all the frequencies and bands. like in italy, only one/two of them are supported and i would like to know if the network was working.

Hey there. Yes. My former Note 20 Ultra 5G US variant's 4G is working in the Philippines.
I recommend you get also the Hong Kong (Snapdragon) variant instead, as I have read somewhere that HK variant's 5G could work in the UK.

Well this answers my question. I recently bought a US version note 20 ultra 5g and having trouble activating the 5g on my phone which seems to be impossible. I should have bought a snapdragon hk version instead then. This is very frustrating cause I'm really enjoying the benefits of a Note phone.

Question does the exynos model get 5g in the US?

Cause I bought a exynos note 20 ultra last year off amazon and it could only get to lte but not 5g and I got it to get 5g and be able to root. So I returned it and just got a snapdragon version and just lived without root which is honestly fine btw. Will the same thing happen if I buy an exynos s22 ultra? Or can the snapdragon version be rooted this time? Pls don't yell at me if this has been asked but the search bar here is confusing and I'm baked af

Well, not knowing which carrier you use, I don't know what else to say.... Perhaps take a look at the source the next time you're not "Baked AF".....
No ill will intended, but, if you give the site a good look, you'll be able to figure it out.

The most reliable way to ensure your device will support 5G is aquire your Service Provider's device.
Typically with the Exynos variants you can access root but since it's a brand new version ask a Exynos user if bootloader unlock is available in developer options. If you're going to be in US it probably won't connect.
Again typlically only the Snapdragon version from China, Taiwan and Hong Kong (SM-G9080) will offer unlocking the bootloader. If you're going to be in US it probably won't connect.
Be aware OneUI 4.1 may have eliminated bootloader unlock.

Thanks bud, what a gentleman I have tmobile in the US. So your saying if I get a tmobile exynos I can have 5g in the US no prob? And is snapdragon s22 ultra rootable or is it just the exynos version?

The T-Mobile device is a Snapdragon variant, if that's your carrier and you need 5G it's your best option. The T-Mobile device, if it's the same as it's predecessor the S21 Ultra, can't be rooted. T-Mobile only sells Snapdragon variants.
My experience with a HK s21 ultra that has the same bands as exynos s21 is that 5G doesn't work in the US asot didn't have
the key 5G bands. On TMobile it sometimes says 5G as the device has one if the bands tmob uses for 5G in the US but it's phantom, and you only get 4G.

Yep, I have the SM-G9980 on T-Mobile and Network Mode displays 5G but it never connects. For me 5G is close to useless and I'd rather not have T-mobile's bloatware and prefer the unlocked bootloader. Not to mention no long term carrier commitment if you're looking for a discount on a new device.

Question s22 ultra with unlockable bootloader(root)?

I am looking for an S22 ultra with an unlockable bootloader(root) that works with 5g in the US (t-mobile).
Does one exist? I don't care if it's snapdragon or Exynos, but I can't seem to find a definitive answer.
Seems rather expensive to just keep buying and hoping.
Is there a specific country or model these come from?
Any help is appreciated!
Check with your carrier to see if they are still supporting International devices. I know At&t will not support certain devices anymore. So I would check first before buying one
