I'm confused...
I have the s4 model for T-Mobile USA.
What update can I install on my one S? I see world wide update, and the s3 version update...
Can't seem to find anything about mine, or I'm just not reading correctly? Do we still have to wait for the ota, seems like its been in testing forever...

I think you should wait till the OTA update for TMOUS comes out, or flash a custom ROM, they have 4.2.1 running pretty smoothly now.

Im just curious if anyone knows if there will be a new radio update with the new jellybean release in a few weeks?
There already is one you can use in the development section You don't have to flash it to have Jelly Bean.

Judging by the screenshot of the port, it's still KI1. Which is the same as 4.0.4
Ports from the sdk or the gn would have nothing at all to do with a radio for the nexus s.
Radios will come in the form of official ota for the device as well as the factory images released by google.

I know of the new GNex radio but this is the Nexus S forums buddy :~|
Well I know that the devs will use the stock radios we have to port, was just wondering if they were coming out with new update. It would be nice cuz the ones ive tried in my area is little sketchy at times

As you may know 4G means LTE in australia. Can any Telstra users confirm if they are receiving the HTC one xl updates?
Nice find! Hopefully some Aussie users can give the stuff to devs and we can get rolling!

The only bad thing about Jelly Bean is you are going to be forced to update your HBOOT in order to run it. I'm just hoping useful source comes out of it as I won't run it for that reason. I like flashing my kernels from recovery.

I'm getting a system update is available on my phone. Not taking it until we confirm root won't break or a new root method is found.

Are you on AT&T? are you on 2.20? If yes to both, or you are in Australia despite your profile location, you can download the OTA but not flash it. You can copy the OTA package off your phone and upload it for devs.

On AT&T?? Sure it's not an earlier update you missed?
All sources indicate AT&T is months away from rolling out JB.
This would be great if true

I recently got an htc sensation 4g 2 days ago, it is on 2.3.4. every time i go to setting>about phone>software update> check now I keep getting. You phone is up to date, There are no updates available for your phone. so how do I upgrade to ICS , is there another way to manually do it? Thank you.

Yeah. I did some research and basically couldn't find any manual way of doing it. Now you have two options:
1) If you really want the official, call T-Mobile up and ask whats going on and they'll definitely fix your problem.
2) Your other option is to root your phone. Now this is a little bit risky but if you follow all the proper steps, you'll be golden. And with rooting, you can even get a Jelly Bean ROM. It basically unlocks so many features on your phone.

Hi,
Do you only want to update via HTC update,or are you willing to s-off your phone?
Just wanted the htc update im not much of a fan of rooting.

Just a thought. Are you sure you are on stock unrooted Rom? I know sometimes folks buy the sensation now used, and the previous owner may not have put the device back to S-on. That could be a reason its not updating OTA.
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using Tapatalk 2
Im pretty sure its stock and unrooted, I thought it would be easy by doing it with a computer like samsung kies but it seems with htc ota is the only way unless i find the file some where and do it manually.

I looked at the website provided and it looks like it is just updating the .apk files. But the website does not specify the security issues for the 4 apps.

I doubt it will "lock" the phone. They are apps to install (.apk). If you are on some unlocked variant of the 3.20 ROM for the phone you should be ok. Just in case, nandroid and recover should the need present itself.

I am in the same position. I am running Android Revolution HD 6.4. However, since it is based on the sister phone, the DHD, I wonder if these same issues affect the DHD lines as well.

It probably will. This doesn't look like its an update for any based DHD Rom because the update is offered by at&t. The DHD is an international varient of the device

My wife's n8013 just got a notice to apply an OTA the tablet just downloaded... It's around 192mb, so my guess is it's just apps.

OTA may fail or corrupt OS if rooted use Kies and reroot .

Anyone do the update? My Note 10.1 wifi got an OTA notification as well. Currently on stock 4.1.2. Anyone know consists of this update? My choices are, Later/Install All/Install....curious...but not enough to hit the trigger.
This is interesting. Anyone knows what Samsung packed into that update? If you've already rooted, i think it's much safer to wait until the update is added to your favorite custom ROM.
That's kinda the issue, she likes the stock ROM. Maybe I'll pull the update file and look into what's in there tomorrow.

Unfortunately my son thought he was being "helpful" and accepted it.
Minor UI stuff, stuff runs a little smoother, but I haven't seen anything major.
HOWEVER it de-roots you, and none of the usual suspects have worked. I originally rooted using Framaroot, and it does not work. So waiting with baited breath for someone to get around to fixing that problem.
I just checked my daughter tab 2 7.0 and its installing 4.2.2 right now.. and apparently thats been out for about a month. I was unaware... kinda stinks that an older tablet has a newer os version
