Hi,
Since I installed the ClockworkMod Recovery 5.0.2.8 on my HTC Explorer, when I want to charge the battery phone off it directly displays the recovery menu instead of the gauge charge. Are you an idea of this problem and how to fix it ?
FYI, if the phone is on the phenomenon does not occur.
Thank you for your response

HI,
No change!
So I started by flashing the recovery with the one supplied with the tutorial to root initial (Pico CMW-Based Recovery V5.0.2.) And now the phone is charging even if it is off.
I'd still try TWRP because I have a secondary partition on my SD is not saved with this recovery.
Version 2.3.3.0 TWRP Touch Recovery allows (from what I've read in the forums) Is this true?
thank you
Ppl having similar problems, it is a known bug of CWM Recovery. It doesn't support offline charging.
It is entirely related to recovery, not to Rom.
Use TWRP or yannau's recovery. It'll be solved
I had the same problem after flashing a custom Rom I.think there isn't any thing in softwar programmed for it to charged in so orgies to recovery

Because there isnt any thread about reflashing the old recovery for HTC Sensation ill create one.
Because of the problem after S-OFF and the installation of Clockworkmod recovery the battery wont charge when the phone went empty. Here are some simple steps to put the htc recovery back.
1. Download this PG58IMG file http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=671910&d=1312083040
2. Put the file in the root of your memory card
3. Shutdown phone and pull out battery
4. Press volume down and hold it when you put on your phone
5. The phone wil find the PG58IMG file and ask if you want to update, select yes
6. After installation reboot phone and remove the PG58IMG file from the memory card
7. Your done and your phone will charge when its shut down (wait for a fix from Clockword mod recovery)

Thanks for the trick
It fixes the battery problem, but in my case, it breaks the market In the HD Revolution rom.
I can use the market after I reflash the original recovery, after that I keep getting the "error not enough space to download"
Wait....so if my phone dies I won't be able to charge it to get it back on????? Wow...that sounds like a huge issue. Looks like I'm flashing the stock recovery.
READ post one of the S off Guide
IT will only not charge if you disable fastboot
if it dies while fastboot is enabled, it will charge and switch on as long as you dont try to switch it on while its dead!
Tried the steps downloaded app put on sd card no directly no file
turn phone off took battery out
held volume down power on got bootloader screen but never picked up app ?

Good idea to throw this on the SDCard in case of emergency.
Ok, I reflashed the original recovery, even though i had the 4.0.1.5 CWM, since some people said it still doesnt fix the problem. I just didnt want to risk being somewhere away from pc/net/cables, and ending up with a dead phone.
Now my question is: If and when there is a proper fixed version of CWM comes out, can I just flash it simply using the RomManager? Or do i need to go through some complicated procedure?

A proper fixed version has already been released.
Download Rom Manager from the market and install the recovery from within the app. Make sure the recovery is Orange after you flash it, not Blue.
Charging will work, and it will give you the advanced functionality that Rom Manager provides.
Easiest thing in the world to do.

It is my sincerest advice not to overclock...it will heat up your phone..it will cause force closes and most of all it reduces life of your processor..!
I was having same problem.
All you have to do is
1)reboot in recovery
2)wipe/factory reset
3)flash with desired rom
4)wipe/factory reset (you have to do this again )
5) restart your phone
That's it !!!
Hit thanks if I helped you

Let me guess. You didn't partition your sdcard. Sense 4 needs a minimum 512 MB ext2/3/4(4 recommended) partition to work.

maybe there is a hardware problem on ur phone before going to repair it from the service center well flash it with the RIFF BOX its a universal flasher that can flash almost every bricked phone no matter its hard brick or soft brick or fully dead.
Did you try the software version 1.43.720.2 available here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2225776?
In that case, working flashable zip's that don't bootloop are available here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=40385554&postcount=76
The download links for the zip files provided by OP misses some necessary config files in the /system/etc folder due to which the ROM doesn't boot. I patched it up, and uploaded it (second link).

Try to install TWRP Recovery if that fials, then CWM Recovery
Do a complete data wipe from recovery
Install a stable ROM
Unroot your phone by following a good rooting guide
Now, root it properly

Heres what to do:
-Flash a recovery, TWRP etc. or stick to current recovery
-Download any rom, CM10.2 suggested
-Factory reset
-Flash Rom
-Flash Gapps
Relock the bootloader and then unlock bootloader again.
And flash yannou recovery first, and flash the stock rom and if u partitioned your sd card delete the partitions and create again(backup ur sd-card )
And then flash new rom

@noob nabain hey mate don't worry, it's obvious that a rooted pico phone running stock will go into loop when you do a factory reset (it previously mentioned in the rooting guide).
hope you have a working recovery.
now download any rom.zip
wipe everything(as specified in the instruction of installation)
install the rom
hope this solves ypur problem :good:
