Dear all,
after so many efforts... i gave up! Can anybody tell me or help mw why i cannot install themes on my CM10.1 (Note 10.1) ?
i've tried with the
IF you see this error: "THIS THEME WAS IMPROPERLY COMPILED AND CANNOT BE APPLIED...", RE-APPLY the default "System" theme AND either:
- REBOOT and then apply the new theme and then reboot again
- OR, clear cache & data of "ThemesProvider.apk" & "ThemeChooser.apk", then apply the theme.

many2 times, but zip zero. Because even after i applied the default system theme and then reboot and try to install the new theme, well, it always pop up the "This theme was improperly bla bla bla...". Same with the clear cache and data method.
Any helps would be much appreciated folks! Cheers
ps: by the way, i couldn't find the "ThemeChooser.apk" on my "Settings > Apps > All. Only the "ThemesProvider.apk"
Are you trying to install Samsung themes on a non Samsung firmware like CM 10.1 .
jje
Let me know what theme and I will test it for you. I am having no issues with themes on CM10.1.

YOUR ROM YOUR WAY!!!
Okay everyone here is my new Theme/mod for TWA_Privs SGT7 rom. As of right now it is only for his latest 9-5 rom. I am working with twa to see about getting a 1% battery mod into his source and that way this can easily be used on all versions. Until then I can easily update what needs to be done on each version.
You need roughly 100mb free on sdcard because the theme will place temporary files there, theme the system apps, and then removes those temp files.
Your orginal apps are backed up to /sdcard/vrtheme-backup, so if for some reason you want to revert, you can just move the .apk with your foavorite Root Browser file app.
What does my theme modify
Settings.apk- all png mods
SystemUI.apk- all png mods
framework-res.apk- png and xml mods. This will make all secondary text ICS blue and also system generated progress bars blue.
WHO WANTS SOME OPTIONS?
Battery Options....
By default it is my Multi color circle that I use in all my themes is no option is selected as "YES", but there are 7 more that you can choose from in Aroma. Aroma will also display the battery icon at a 70% display for each.
Wifi Icons
By default it is the colorful on that I always include, but there is an option to choose the stock wifi icons.
---Oijkn Wifi icons from A500
Nav Button Options
---Mirrored
---Graphical---DO NOT Change Color or these in system settings or they will just be a solid color.
---Metro
---Metallic
---Ballon
---Text
---Oijkn from A500
---Airbrush
Jelly Beans Gapps.
I include these so that users should only need to do two flashes, the rom...and my KICKASS Theme...HAHA!!

The eye candy ROM is quite dated. I would do a full wipe and install the latest from twa_private, 0905. Then, install the eye candy mod. This will give you a current sgt7 Linaro with all the glitz.

Update after installing:
Well that wind up being pretty obvious, huh!
Is it better to use apex or trebuchet with the mods? If I install again will it overwrite the first backup?

I'm on the last eye candy rom but want to chance to this one with the eye candy mods
can you chance the buttons and the clock collor blue?(don't like green)
They start as ICS blue. You art looking at my color customization which fits my island background. Just install and leave the color alone.
I prefer Apex. My shot has the tray hidden, and I use swipe to hide the status bar.

This theme is excellent!! thank you...
Just curious as to whether you need to flash this again if Twa_priv updates the base ROM?

Yes you will because all Rom's will wipe out /system and replace with clean files. So when he updates I will update as soon as I possibly can, all I need to do is modify the new SystemUI.apk. But if there were no major changes to SystemUI.apk then you could easily flash without me updating. But that is something that will come from him and should be able to see in his change log. I am still looking for a source for a battery mod and then I would not need to update this theme just to match a newer rom version.
ON a side note would some one be willing to test v1.1 for me? I dont have my wifes Kindle today and have a large update ready for you guys as long as all goes well.
PLEASE PM ME IF YOU ARE INTERESTED.
Updated latest twa_priv 9-12, wiped cache, dalvik, reinstalled. Works fine.

HOLOGLASS THEME FOR GALAXY ACE PLUS
Hey guys.. I was looking for for some good themes for my galaxy ace plus and I found an awesome 1.. Apply this and your phone will look like a high end device.. Here we go:
Things required:
1) Galaxy ace plus with CM10 or CM 10.1..
2) Build Prop Editor (Link : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jrummy.apps.build.prop.editor&hl=en)
3) HoloGlass Theme (Link : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mix3d.theme.hologlass.beta&hl=en)
I've provided as detailed procedure as I could so that even newbies can take benefit of this.. Still if you have any doubt, please don't hesitate to ask..
Procedure:
1) Download all required things.. Links are provides above..
2) Now Open Build Prop Editor..
3) Look for ro.sf.lcd_density.. Tap on it..
4) Now change the property value from 160 to 145..
5) Reboot your phone.. (After reboot you might see the icons messed up but do not worry.. We'll fix it back..)
6) Now go to Settings>Themes and apply the HoloGlass Theme..
7) It will give an error that it is missing assets but tap apply anyway..
8) Again open Build Prop Editor and change the lcd density back to 160 and reboot..
9) Thats it!! You're done..
We needed to change the lcd density because the theme is not available for MDPI.. Still I've been using this theme and I noticed no problems..
Note: Not only things included in the system but some apps also become transparent..
I didn't make this theme.. I just found it somewhere... All credits go to the developer..

Official MEGA CM10/CM10.1/CM10.2 Theme Chooser Thread [1082 THEMES][UPDATED 12/20/13]
You can choose the theme and pass to your device using usb.
If it did not work, I seriously recommend the use of Build Properties before you install the theme, doing the following steps:
Search for Density and modify the property name to 150, Reboot, Apply the theme and change the density back to 160 and reboot again. It should work.
The themes that I install from the playstore or even from the storage doesn't show up on the theme engine except the default system theme and there are no other options I find to make myself successful in changing the theme on my cm11. I've attached a screenshot so you can have a look at it. What am i doing wrong ? I don't even see any font option and stuffs inside the theme option. Please do help!
