[Q] Can't change lockscreen on Ktoonsez? - General Questions and Answers

Ok so I just downloaded the Ktoonsez rom for the S3 and it's really awesome except I can't find any way to change the lockscreen even when I go into the lockscreen options. I click the reset wallpaper but I still can't change it. When i go into gallery to try to manually set a picture to a lockscreen, it will let me set it as a wallpaper but no option for lockscreen.
Any help please? I tried googling this. I fixed permissions and wiped the cache. Thanks.

You can always download them at Droid-life
So does anyone know of a way other than using the Droid 2 Bootstrap to install the black notification bar?

Get the from My Droid World...The full R2-D2 ROM is there.
No Star Wars live Wallpapers but the D2 ones are in full and clean ROMs.

If you are having trouble with bootstrap then make sure your Superuser is setup right. Do you have 2 super user icons? You can install it manually if you have ADB working.
When I click the icon it goes to a black screen with just the title bar saying Superuser Permissions. So it seems that may be the issue. Should I try to "reroot" my phone?

Whe you click on Superuser it shouldn't be just black screen, you shojld get a list of applications that are using Superuser permission, try reroot, maybe it will help

When you say all star wars items removed does that mean the boot screen too?

Does this do the same SuperClean as before? Or do you also remove the Star Wars ringtones?
Yesterday, I had a jarring experience when I got a notification, and I heard R2 beeping and such until I pulled down the notification shade. Before you had us only wipe the /system/app and /system/framework folders. I know I can remove them manually, it is on my list of things to do, but it would be nice if the Super Clean cleaned those out as well. No big deal, I really shouldn't have to reflash. Just a suggestion though.
So how can I manually clean out the old root files so I can root again. The one step root method is giving me an error 05 unable to copy superuser.apk

Try downloading Titanium Backup and click the "problems?" button. It will update the busybox. I had a similar problem, and that fixed it.

You do not need to ROOT, just download the latest superuser from market or find the thread on XDA and download it from there.
When we install do we wipe data, cache, and system or will the zip wipe the system for us?

Well better than jar jar getting in your face
I left the sounds behind incase some people want them...you can delete them by going to system/media.
No need to reflash...I just cleaned up the installs a bit.

Thats what it does. When you start an app that needs SU permissions it will pop up and ask to allow or deny. If you select allow and then go back into superuser app it will show it listed...

If you want to wipe data and cache then go ahead. Some people have luck with not wiping and others don't, it is up to you. You do not need to wipe system since the ROMs will do that.
Do not WIPE anything when going to Super Clean ROM. No need too.
I don't get how super clean works. Does it just delete the blur crap from the clean rom?
And if I install it can I manually put the Blur email back in? I hate everything blur but the email, since the email works way better than the stock email app. I have hotmail and gmail, so I need both email apps, and I'd prefer to use blur and gmail vs. stock and gmail.

It wipes system and framework and replaces it with the new files.
Copy bluremail.apk and bluremailengine.apk, set proper permissions, delete emailgoogle.apk and reboot. Should have blur email back.

launcherpro help with custom icons!

hey guys. i upgraded to launcherpro plus and root explorer and deleted my previous launcher and the stock rom file manager through titanium back. when i try to replace dock icons through launcher pro with my custom ones, it goes straight to my gallery instead of giving me the option of which apk i want to select the new icon from. in this case, i want to select my custom icon through root explorer but its not showing up as an option through launcherpro. any advice or possible fix? thanks
Have you tried restarting LP?
yeah. i've tried restarting lp with no luck. then went to app settings and restored to default for both root explorer and lp... still with no luck. cant seem to figure out what it could be. my other apps such as desktop visualizer give me the option of which apk to select the custom icon from but for some reason launcherpro just goes directly into the stock gallery browser

[Q] modded settings.apk has stopped

Hey all,
I'm trying to build my first custom rom, wich is based on a stock 4.4 kitkat rom (wich is a custom rom, 4.4 doesn't officialy exist for jiayu G4).
Now i'm trying to add a shorcut for "noyze volume pannel" app in settings. That way the users just have to go to settings, and can change the volume pannel to how they want it from there like it's any other setting.
I followed a guide from xda on how to add the app to the settings.apk and I think I finaly managed to do it.
But now when I replace the settings.apk with the modded one, I always get the error "settings has stopped working" when trying to enter settings.
The things I already tried are: 1) wipe dalvik cache 2) wipe cache partition 3) factory reset 4) check if permetions are set the way they use to 5) Also tried to drag the app to app-info to clear cache, but then I also get the error and get kicked out of the settings menu.
Can someone pleas help me? I realy want to make a cool custom rom...
Thank you!

[Solved] Homescreen Wallpaper Reset

After updating my Galaxy S6 (SM-G920F) to 5.1.1, the homescreen wallpaper always resets to the stock Samsung WP every after reboot. I use themes downloaded from the Theme Store. Everything else remains applied (lockscreen WP, icons, etc.) Anyone have an idea to fix it? Thanks.
it may seem weird, but just simply uninstall facebook or disable it, reboot then update it again.

Thanks for the hint, but i tried it and failed. It still went back to stock.
Solved!
I've solved the problem, although I don't know which step did solve it.
Things I did:
Uninstalled/disabled some apps and deleted some files to free up space (my memory was nearly full)
Switched to the default theme and uninstalled all other downloaded themes
Wiped cache in settings>storage
Rebooted, downloaded a new theme and applied it
Wiped cache again and reboot
Wallpaper from theme is still there Yey!
Special thanks to @Justinhopaolo for helping me out

Theme engine issues after reverting back to stock COS 13.1

Hello guys,
I've got a problem and after searching Google, XDA and the OnePlus forums, I decided to ask for help. Please help!
I reverted my OPO back to stock COS 13.1 from SultanXDA's build, last night (and lost my whole internal storage in the process - apparently the COS recovery Factory Reset is a FULL wipe, internal storage included, not just a data wipe. Thank you Cyanogen *presents middle finger* ) and everything works alright except for one thing: the theme manager.
I am on the latest COS update (screenshot attached) and the problem with the Theme manager is that, no matter what theme I have installed, it still shows up like the second screenshot attached.
When I try to apply it, it applies well, but it has no wallpaper. So, applying themes works fine, except for the wallpaper.
I already tried to clear cache, app data, restart, set storage permissions to allow for the app, even tried a factory reset, nothing helped. Did anyone else encounter this? If so, how did you fix it? If not, do you guys have any idea what to do? Please help, I'm already pissed off that I lost everything on internal storage and didn't make a backup because nothing should touch storage unless specifically requested and except for a bootloader lock/unlock, so I'm a few inches away from throwing this phone out the window, literally!
Help!
You talking about how it doesn't show the status bar correctly? I have this going on also...
As for the wallpaper, notice how it says customized, tap on your theme again and then tap reset.

It doesn't show the status bar, icons, wallpaper, anything.
I tried resetting it too and it shows up with no wallpaper, same icons as system etc.
A no go...
Any suggestions?
OK, so after searching franticly for the past few hours, I've found out what to do to fix this:
1. Go to Settings > Apps
2. Click on the menu dots in the right hand upper corner > Show System
3. Find Themes Provider > Clear App Data and Cache
4. Force close, along with Theme Manager and Chooser
5. Restart.
Hope this helps everyone else who might be having trouble with this
